Easiest way is actually to separate the 2.4 and 5Ghz SSID's into two different ones. Most router/access points you can do this on by just making the name for each network type a different name.
Thanks for posting this. The challenge we're having is that our current AT&T Fiber GB Router (Model# BGW320-500) does not show option to check 80211.B status. Our Nintendo Wii does detect our WiFi network, but keeps giving the "51330" error code after trying to connect. Any advice, and do we need that legacy USB WiFi connector and CD?
I’m having trouble on my Wii all I want to do is watch Netflix Hulu RUclips and check the weather and I want to play Mario kart on Nintendo WiFi connection and the error annoys me
The weird thing ive had spectrjm for over a year now and jusg now it gave me the problem for the xbox. This is a huge issue while playing backwards compatible 360 tittles on series x.
You better configure that old router to use something besides the default ssid and password otherwise someone is gonna ride on your network and create a potential security issue with your network. Those default credentials are posted all over the internet.
Actually, you can also try using your phone's wifi hotspot to connect. That's what I did and it worked. Don't know how reliable of an internet connection it'd be for online play, though.
Thank you! I bought the same one from the video, and now my 360 is connected to the internet!
It's that easy? Thank you so much. Now I have finally solved my problem. Now I'm back.
Thank you. I have trying to figure this out for years. Got my 2.4g router from Amazon yesterday and it worked.
