I got one similar 8 years ago... It just by chance came with the same HMF stage 3 and jetted w k&n, Mint 05 Honda 400ex. Original tires barely half worn probably less than 50 hours. When I test drove it I almost crashed in the storage unit lot!!😆🤣 I got going so fast and could barely stop in time..Barely Stopped like 3ft in front of a unit!!! I'm like damn!!!😁 Sold!!!! Brakes were 80% too... lol $2200. Still rips hard and looks like new considering it's age. I've bought several extra Replacement parts. Tires brakes Tires brakes Battery Air filter Chain guides and rollers In addition to several other small items.. But still stockish Basically lol😆🤣
I can’t remember what brand. I used 170 main but it didn’t have a pilot jet in it. I don’t have the air box lid on it though. If you have the lid you should probably go around 165.
You would want to jet it with stage 1 and stage 2 to get peak power I have a 300ex stage 2 hot cam T4 Pro Circuit Exhaust my brother has a 400ex stage 2 hot cam FMF exhaust

Did the slip on require a exhaust gasket? Where you tightened the clamp, did it just slip on the exhaust and a tighten the clamp and ready to go?
no gasket just slide it on and tighten the clamp.

When My dad bought it the owner gave him a box with jets. Don’t know what brand the jets are.
At 170 mine might be a hair rich but I’d rather be rich so it will run a little bit cooler.
168 is my final adjustment. Seems just right.

No I was just trying to keep my neighbors happy. Around the house I run the 2nd insert and when I go out on the trails I use the big one.
