God, what a fantastic anime. This was literally made for fans. And I am a huge fan. Been one for well over a decade. And unlike many things that make me feel old, this one reminds me of the youth in my heart. Set sail to the future!
i was tearing up so much from this, this could be canon, like zooming into civilians and low level marines, seeing that they are people with their own stories that have been affected by the events of the story, it adds so much more perspective, it was beautiful.
See on one hand I get why the characters don't have names- it's to further the point that they could be anyone, they're audience inserts in that way. But I NEED them to have names, i need to know more about them!! Theyre all such good characters 😭😭Mr big brother marine I have feelings for you.... Are you free on saturday....... On a more serious note, I literally started watching One Piece in grade school before i even spoke a word of english (since im french), am now in uni and have met some of my dearest friends through it's fandom. it's special in a way I genuinely cannot put into words, and this episode had me cheering and tearing up like a baby. I rewatched it just two days later and took like a full hour just to get through it because I was constantly pausing and rewinding to look at all the little background details and bits of animation. This episode is a genuine masterpiece from both a writing and an animation standpoint and i just cannot get over it!! In the end, it really was lovely seeing someone get as affected by it as I was myself! It made for a super fun and enjoyable watch :] !

I loved this so much! I think my favorite was the older Marine brother. I loved that his love of Luffy was so personal. I loved the girl too. I loved that we never got a clear shot of the Straw Hats, except for that one fan of Brook’s but she’s a fan of Brook the singer, not Brook the pirate and she wouldn’t connect to who Chopper is.
What's crazy is that Marine is not even fodder, he's at least an officer (or he wouldn't have the cape), my guy fell like 80 feet into ICE, that would kill most people, he just rubbed his bum.
"If Nami saves her right now...." Oh, my guy, it's soo much better. SHE gets to save NAMI. How fucking cute is that? What an amazing special/episode this was. Best thing I've seen in awhile.
Ngl my eyes were watery for 80% of this special both happy, sad and tears from laughter from this. The power scaler gags and the marine captain being a chopper stan made me laugh lol hard soo much.
Now I’m concerned that the girl will dress like the timeskip Nami, a pair of jeans and a bikini. Joke asides this episode is made like a perspective from a fan which we can all related to, a masterpiece indeed
Your right cause this honestly this is far far better than 1062 it might be the best one piece episode ever the story the animation the direction it's perfect and I heard this was what egghead is gonna look like when it returns which if it's true is exciting
People forget that Ussop isn't special too. He is the typical scared guy wity some skills. Nami navigates, Ussop snipes. Both with no devil fruits. I hope the 6 month break would help Ussop's Elbaf/Elbaph story.
U got it wrong my friend… the girl didn’t know usopp because he never been on a poster, all there was his nose and a hair, and then when they got a picture of him, it was sogeking which is him in his alter ego wearing a mask “ the one he used to hide his identity from Luffy when they went to save robin” …..
This was made for OP fans, by OP fans, with OP fans as the main characters of this story. I f**king love One Piece man. This was special.
