Samee once when i thought there was only a small drop i had my new phone it was the iPhone se😂i got it like a year later it cane out! and next thing ya know ... in the bigger drop that I wasn’t expecting boomm🥶

That dark drop at 4:16, I swear thats the worst place to get soaked than the big drop at the end. It seemed to me like there was someone there in the dark who threw a bucket of water straight at me. I was totally soaked but lucky it was really hot that day and clothes dried in about 30mins.

i wasn't scared at all during the drop and i was petrified with fear going up to the final plunge
Jackie Johnson true. I went on splash mountain after it got refurbished and that drop you’re talking about got me soaked and I had to wait outside for awhile before I went on anymore rides lol because I was soaking wet.
It's too bad Walt Disney never got a chance to ride Splash Mountain I think he did enjoy it with all his heart

This ride isn't terrifying just because of the drop. It's because they're singing their happy tunes, even though they know that they're about to chuck your log over a cliff!

The drop is actually meant to represent Br’er Rabbit tricking Br’er Fox and Br’er Bear into throwing him back into the Briar Patch, where he was born and raised.
You could not have timed that drop better. With the Riverboat pacing by at the exact time, that's lots amazing with you right up close to it.

Am I the only one that after going on Splash Mountain I have that one song stuck in my head. You know the one that’s playing throughout the ride that goes “how do you do.”
Also I feel like I always get more wet on the drop before the big final drop.

I remember the first time I rode this. I was terrified, and we were riding at night (around 11:00) because the line was so short. I was with my friend’s family and my friend and I were so scared, but we were convinced we HAD to go on. Now it’s my favorite ride. Now I just have to conquer Guardians and Incredicoaster!

This ride gives me the most anxiety. Especially knowing you aren't strapped in. So, sometimes I don't get on. I just wait for my friends to get off of it. Lol

most flume rides don't need lapbars i wasn't strapped down on one in florida in 1996 didn't feel like gonna fall out and my sis and i knew rules no trying to stand up there were bars to grab on to though but def not locked in

I already rode this but in Tokyo Disney and there is like a camera at the big drop but I do not know of this is the same as tha left one in tokyo

dont worry if you think this ride was different back then; i've seen a POV recorded in the 90s and it was almost identical to the current look of the ride (except the owl hooted a a slightly higher pitch and the first song didnt play until they got off the second lift hill
I went on this in December. I waited to go on this but then it broke down.. a few hours later, the ride opened again. The log I was on was I think the second last one before the ride broke down again.
also when i watched this POV for the first time and you passed br'er rabbit when he was singing "i'm back at my home now and i'm SURE GONNA STAY!" and you turned your camera off to skip the waiting and then when you turned it back on the music looped to the beginning, i thought the song changed to this key more than once, but later i learned that it only does this at the beginning of the song

I can never go on this ride without anxiety. Last time I went we were about to hit the big drop and the ride stopped for about 5 minutes and It appeared to me that it didn’t really go up without water (idk if it was just my brain messing with me) but it’s always gonna give me fear.
MyJuggy House You don’t have to worry so much because Disney Parks are some of the safest Theme Parks in the world
I have some anxiety also but Disneyland rides are the safest. Just relax and know that you are safe there.

I went during a firework show and nobody was in line! We got to ride over and over again without exiting. It was such a magical experience.
Best time to ride Splash Mountain is during fireworks or during Fantasmic shows!
I’ve only been to the Disneyland in LA and in splash mountain there are only handles on the sides with NO SEATBELT NO NOTHING BUT the HANDLES on the SIDES that have to “save” you from a 500FT DROP.

i think holding onto the side handles is more secure than holding onto the small thingy in front of the seat (in magic kingdom's version)
i understand why it took them 5-6 months. that second drop, a huge wave came at me, my mouth was open too! it was gross but so worth the wait!!

i think all the little holes on the walls of the river send a signal to the person at the station telling him/her where the logs are so he/she can stop a log when needed

there is another difference of walt disney world's splash mountain that is pretty big so it deserves its own comment
the logs seat up to 8 people (2 in each row) and this is better than only 3 and making you sit behind someone

the music of the first song of this ride is different from the same song of splash mountain in disney world and tokyo disneyland because this version is more cartoonish and new orleans styled and the ones in disney world and tokyo disneyland are more western and frontier styled

When I went to Disney for the first time it was closed and it's my moms favorite ride and we thought that it would open before we left but it didn't so now I can kinda understand how good the ride is

The ride is better if you don’t know.
They're from Song of the South....a rather *racist* Disney movie from decades ago, and while they have denied its existence by not selling copies of it, one of their most popular rides is still based on it...something I never understood.
Why they kept the theme, originally it was probably for financial issues, and now because it’s an iconic ride and they can’t agree with how to changes it. I imagen that there has been many fights with what to do.

also i tasted the water on this splash mountain and it was fresh water so now i think disneylander was talking about an earlier time when the water was processed but now it is just fresh water (it was good to have a little sample of it since it is refreshing)

I have always went to Walt Disney World (And Splash Mountain is my Favorite ride ever) So its pretty cool to see how it looks in Disneyland! Once I got stuck on It where the laughing place is but we where not going up Thankfully so a few people where getting ready to drop and it would not go and they could not fix it so we had to walk out and the people that where at the top head to go down the stairs that looked scary but at least we were not at the very top!
Didn’t the ride get refurbished because of the drop because it was too steep? Well that is what I was hearing and by the way this video looked so professional! The quality was amazing 😂 and it seems like the ride is longer 🧐 I probably don’t notice because of how much I scream cause I am terrified of getting wet but I still enjoy the ride 🤪

I went in last december and there was no one in line and the cast members literally ask my mom and i if we wanted to keep ride it without even getting into a different log. They cast members just waved at us as we kept passing by. After like 8 times we finally got off. believe it or not, this ride got me light headed as heck

although the first appearance of br'er fox and br'er rabbit as animatronics look new, they are actually reskinned animatronics from america sings; the host of america sings (sam eagle) became br'er fox and ollie owl became br'er rabbit
