We should all appreciate how Disney is committed to theming on their rides. It’s not like there was a small mountain/hill sitting next to Disneyland. This ride was created on what used to be part of the Disneyland parking lot. They literally built this ride from the ground up!
The real fact is that he got it for himself is because he went alone to the park and the video was 2 weeks ago and(COVID) if he go with a family they will go with him or not because they dont want it
As I looked around at all of the trees and natural looking settings of this attraction, I couldn’t help but marvel at the fact that the last time I was at Disneyland in 1994, this area was all parking lot. What a beautiful conversion!
I am not a huge fan of raft rides, but my son wanted to go on Grizzly River Run the weekend before last on our very first visit to Disney’s California Adventure. I am *so* glad we did! This is easily the best raft ride I’ve ever experienced. The raft was always in motion… spinning, moving swiftly through the water, going down hills. On cookie-cutter raft rides (I’m lookin’ at you, Congo River Rapids), you typically traverse a totally flat layout while slamming hard into poorly designed turns, losing speed with each bump.
This ride was painful, fun, and thrilling all in one, post-covid I went on this ride and the lines were close to nobody, I only ever rode with a full cart once, definitely underrated.
This ride is a 10/10. I was just at California Adventure and Disneyland and did this ride with my family. Including a 5 year old who loved it, totally recommend.
@@ThemeParkAvenue Just wondering. Lol I always want to go on it but my family never wants too. I also love splash mountain it makes me so happy. You need to go especially with the rise of the resistance ride. Don’t look it up unless you want to spoil it. Are you a California Resident?
On the drop at the end, I once got completely turned around right at the last second and it was completely unexpected. I thought I would be able to predict and anticipate the drop, but it was like all my confidence disappeared the second before the drop.
i love this ride. i went on this with my family and one of my cousins rode this for 2 hours straight. it was later at night and no one else in the park was riding. they let him just go on loops for however long he wanted.
Such an awesome & fun ride specially in summer.it’s more fun if more people are sitting with you too. One of the best rides specially in summer!! Love it
Can someone tell me how bad the drop at the end is? My family can’t do big drops but I really want to ride this ride. Please be honest! It looks really steep and crazy but you never know
Man, I sure had fun on that rapid ride back on my Disneyland trip in California back in April of this year, it kinda reminded me of what would Splash Mountain look like if it was a rapid ride :)
water rides seem really hard to film, but you did a great job! remembered this video from like 6 months ago and came back to watch it because i love the vibe
this one is my fav i love how we get so much wetter than splash mounin 10x better than spash moutin like but I love splash moutin to because of the big drop its so much fun
I'm getting up there in years so my favorite rides have moved from roller coasters to raft, plume, skyrides, trains, etc. I would like the drop on this one though. I'm still up for a little excitement!
I wouldn’t say “these rides kill”. That was one, very tragic, incident. The ride at Dreamworld wasn’t maintained properly, which led to an issue with the water pumps/water level, eventually leading to the tragedy. With how many of these types of rides operate around the world without incident, and given this is Disney, the chances of a raft tipping over are extremely slim, to the point of being almost nonexistent. But I can see where your worry is coming from. No matter how much I think to myself how safe this ride is given it’s being operated at much higher levels of safety, there’s still a part of me that thinks “what if?”. Guess that’s the case with any thrill ride.
@@crystalcavernartwork722 One killed a kid and critically injured another in Altoona Iowa this summer. The raft deflates and gets caught and flips over. The conveyer belt also has crushed a worker at the same park. So, yeah more than one isolated incident.

Really?
@@trevertravis8963yea that whole area was a parking lot even where Downtown Disney sits
The fact that this dude got a whole ride vehicle to himself is surprising
bc of covid only one party can get on one of them so it’s just him
Yeah this must have been filmed when it was one party per raft. But they’re now filling all available seats, regardless of party
@@timboslice9897 ya i went here today with 5 other family members so there were just two random ppl with us lol
a lot of the time they can get media passes which gives them access to stuff like that. or covid 🤷🏻♀️

Look at that lovely blue sky and warm climate. Really could do with a holiday. Fun ride too.

Same 1998 for us. Wowza
??,)(
Respect this man didn’t say a word for the whole ride is crazy
Wow the water is so clean and crystal clear.

This is one ride you really need a lot of people with you to enjoy. It’s kind of sad seeing empty rafts.
When I go on raft rides I love being grouped with people and sharing the experience. Everyone reacting together and smiling makes it so fun
0:54 That voice sounds like Mr. Smee.
We should all appreciate how Disney
Boy, this is better than Kali River Rapids in WDW by a lot. Long, exciting with a lot of drops, and longer than 3 minutes. Fantastic.
If you go on there at night there is no line you can watch fireworks and have fun with family/friends all at the same time it’s awesome!
That fact that he never dropped the camera is pretty cool
I love water rides so much 😭
This would be a fun ride on a hot day!
You still make the BEST ride videos!! Love putting them up on my big screen and go along on the ride. BEST EVER!!
Yes one of the best rides at dca
It definitely looks like one of the best.

This ride is super nostalgic for me
My favorite ride was the Six Flags version of this. I never went to Disneyland but I can see myself liking this River Rapids ride

Amazing! Happiest Planet On Earth 🌎
My favourite attraction is Grizzly River Run at Disney California Adventure

Must feel so good to go on in a hot day. 😎
No it doesn’t lol
It feels amazing until you wet off all your sunscreen 🤣
Ik
It is!
every day is a hot day in cali, we only experience winter ever three years lol
I love that you get your own raft!
Me too! For almost every ride u and your group get your raft/cart so everyone is social distanced! It’s a lot better personally
I do like the raft rides, I also remember how Yogi and Boo Boo went down the Rapids before the falls at Jellystone national park.
my favorite part was definitely the finger wiping the water droplets off the camera lens
OK, this is one of the best Rapid Rides of all time!
For real I wish knotts had the drops on their ride
this looks so beautiful and amazing
Great video my friend!!!!!!👍🙋😍
That gimble is handling that raft like a boss!
the ride is so much better at night
I LOVE THIS RIDE SOOOOOO MUCH
closest thing to splash mountain if it didnt exist pretty much
I went there yesterday & can say you did an amazing job capturing the full ride experience!
It looks Pretty Fun! 😍
OMG I really loved that
My fav ride ❤
i rode this, you cant even feel the drop
Beautiful scenery
Very Beautiful 😍😍
This ride was so fun I had the best time
10 of 10 ride
way better than animal kingdom.
this ride is so nice on a hot day
What camera was used? Great video quality!!

since no one replied to u yet, its prolly not that bad lol
My grizzly river run is closed for refurbishment at my Disneyland :(
Ohh nooo
I've been on this ride one of my favorites
Wow, that's a long ride, looks awesome, thanks for the fun
Hello, just want to ask you guys, if we can take our 4 years old son to this ride? Thank you, answers appreciated
this ride is fun and I love you videos

The rapids rides is the best ride to go on when you need to cool off from the summer heat
I like how one of the mountains is shaped like a bear
I love this ride so much!!
Was it fun. That's a yes for me
I remember me and my family going on this as soon as dca opened. Nobody was there so it was cool!
Love this ride 🔥
I haven’t been on this, but it looks WAY better than Kali at Animal Kingdom.
U gotta be on crack to think this is better lol
@@drwalka10 I said it looks better, not that it is better. Also, is Kali really that much better? Based on that, this must suck.
That was awesome!!
Seconds I love your video
How can you compare this drop to splash mountain
"River Rapids 1 was great"
In my 39 years of life and 29 years of loving rapid rides, I have never seen one with drops.
How bout splash mountain?
I went on this during my last Disneyland trip and prior to that I hadn't been on it in years but I forgot how thrilling it is!
I miss this ride so much and I miss getting soaked!
Same!

Eine sehr schöne Anlage. Bei dem schönen Wetter bekommt man gleich Lust in kurzer Hose und Tshirt eine Runde zu fahren.
Wow!! I wish I could be there when it's this empty. We waited an hour for this ride two years ago
What’s the name of the ride that you’re riding?
Grizzly something
It’s called grizzly peak
says in title
grizzly river run
went on this ride like prob 20 times LOL pretty underrated ride
I went on this and went down the big drop directly backwards! Still was a fun ride though.
I had to wait a long time but It was worth it!
grizzly ok, but brother of bears would have corresponded better according to me
this makes me homesick for Disney! Would have liked to have seen a bear of some sort.......
So cool 😎

I love splash moutin to because of the big drop its so much fun

Awesome ride. Better than in DW.
Was there 3 weeks ago !
the sad part is we go up so high and in that section theres no drop
This is by far the most exciting ride I've ever been on
You should definitely try the incredicoaster, it’s a lot of fun!
One of the most underrated and best rides in DCA. Just hope a boat doesn't tip over. These rides kill you know.

@@justimagine2403 still a rare occurrence… and by your logic, don’t ever ride any ride, because they all are potential killers
I would have fun in this ride hehe
Why is the water crystal clear before the first climb, but once you get over the hill the water becomes some sludge polluted water supply?
I luve this ride
I rode the Grizzly River Rapids like 5 times
WE HAD PARTY BOAT GRIZZLY RIVER RAPIDS WITH DROP
I'm not sure what they said in the beginning, sounded Japerican. Why wasn't there anyone on the ride? Blows?
That was awesome … the rapids ride at Disney World is not even half as long … thanks
Very long and nice course:)
why is it empty?
Any water rides ruin my day nothing worse be wet all day getting burns between legs when walking
