Hearing people being happy and excited instead of being upset during a ride breakdown is always so fun to watch. It just makes the video more entertaining and hilarious at the same time. This is just one of my favorite series on this channel.
regarding the pal around in-show exit: the reason it didn't reopen is because replacing that wheel is an absolute nightmare. they tend to do it when the parks are closed because it takes absolute hours to take everything apart and they usually do it during inspections when things have to be ripped apart, anyway. it's a mess. I've never seen one blow like that. It just lost its seal and I guarantee you those maintenance cast members were livid. love, a carnival kid who used to help put those things together on the midway.
I'm so jealous of the people that got stuck on the Holiday overlay of the Haunted Mansion because it's gorgeous with the Christmas decorations and they really make the ghosts pop!
Jim Cummings tells a story on his podcast of when he and the rest of the Princess and the Frog cast rode the Tiana ride for the first time and, lo and behold, it broke down... in full Summer weather - he noted that Keith David was progressively becoming more and more unamused by the malfunction and was about to jump out of the damn boat at one point lol
I've only been on one ride breakdown. Star Wars rise of the resistance. What happened was the primary kilo ren animatronic had broken, but the ride was still trying to run A mode while in B mode. There wasn't any sound at the end of the ride either. We broke down right at the end right before the exit. We got to get back in line immediately. Best part of the whole shebang was that they had to bring in like four different branches to get the thing rebooted. We were there well after park close. I got to see both A mode and B mode in two rides in the same night. It was a dream come true.
This video just dropped and well, I guess this is my childhood channel since I started watching you in KINDERGARTEN. Insane you are still one of my favorite RUclipsrs. I remember in first grade I used to tell my teacher a Disney fact a day and it came from this! So, thanks TPMvids ❤
Was in Disney during week of Thanksgiving. We went to all the parks and I kid you not every ride broke down. Haunted Mansion, Splash Mountain, Space mountain, Toy Story Mania, Guardians, crazy.
Hey man, appreciate the videos. For someone who is in the military and doesn't get to parks very often, it makes me happy when you disney videos come out. Gives me a little slice of my second home!
Back in March I was on Cosmic Rewind with three other people and we got the extended audio before the launch, then after that played we were stuck there for about 7-8 minutes before we took off. That was actually so fun sitting there unpreparedly waiting for it to go
Brokedown on Tower of Terror in DCA. Fortunately it was after the ride was finished but the thing that connects to the elevator to pull it back wouldn’t connect. Sat for about 30 minutes waiting. Did get a little claustrophobic after awhile. Also stopped for 5 minutes right at the hatbox ghost about a month after it premiered. That was awesome.
In 1996, we got stopped at the top incline of Space Mountain at Disneyland. That was freaky. After a minute, all the lights turned on and you would see everything. It was amazing. You could see several sets of cars at various points along the ride. I remember waiving down toward the people what felt like a few hundred feet below us. We were convinced we'd have to walk down the steps that were on the sides of the coaster. Fortunately after a few minutes, they fixed whatever was wrong, they shut off the lights and we continued our ride. It was an epic experience.
I just submitted a video! I got stuck on Phantom Manor in DLP this december! Got an in show exit. Excited to see if I get to be featured in a youtube video!!
Got my first ride breakdown a few months ago on the Circus Train at Disneyland Paris! It was interesting and very amusing, what's funny is that I was just talking about ride breakdowns when it happened, and I saw it break down in the same spot on a previous trip...
16:12 For those curious the wall the haunted mansion cm mentioned not to touch is known as the “spit wall” in many cultures they believe that spirits and souls should not be summoned so they spit on that wall as they leave madam Leota. I had the privilege of learning this and more on a tour of the mansion as a cm
Last year I was on Spaceship earth. We got just to the end and we were at the top of the sparkling lights. The ride broke down and we had to be evacuated. We had to walk down the steps and it was so cool to see how the building looked. It also had a lot of dust on everything. It took about 40 minutes for the whole thing to be done
Watching these videos even more now as I get closer to starting the Disney college program 🤞🏿 hoping to get one of the ride roles to learn more about the rides
Last time I was visiting Epcot, we were in one of the first groups for Guardians, and it broke down, but we were in the first show room. We were in the for a good 15 minutes, but then the ride came back up. I bet the people stuck inside had a great time.
I got stuck on the frozen ride and it was actually cool because the thing where the door opens when you see Elsa was like half way open and it was so funny and we got a free pass to skip the line 😂
I broke down once on hyperspace mountain. We were right at the end tunnel, and two cast members had to manually push us to the load and unload where everyone in line was staring at us. Oh! And when we were pushed, it sounded like elephant seals were screaming from the tunnel. A great experience
Been waiting for this video in sooo long😍 Your videos never disappoints me❤️ Thank you TPM for making videos for ppl like me, who lives far away from a Disneypark - but still gets to experience the magic, because of you❤!!!
i rember riding on the haunted mansion in disney world. while it didn't fully breakdown it did stop and me and my sister were at the ballroom scene. because of this brief stop my sister noticed the ghost in the paintings coming out and dueling. she had never noticed it before. it was an amazing experince.
When we broke down on Radiator Springs Racers, they told us not to film, even though our breakdown was literally like 10 feet away from the load station
Remember the Country Bear Jamboree? One time, the animatronics just stopped in the middle of the show. There was very little pause (paws?) before the lights came on and cast members ushered us out. Not the most exciting evac, I know.
I'm glad people are submitting a bigger variety of malfunctions. The repetitive uploads were getting stale and I was actually thinking about jumping ship on the channel a few videos back
This is such a bad day for me since the eras tour is ending today, but the notification of you posting a new video cheered me up a bit. Thank you TPMvids!
I once got an in show exit on Ariel’s Undersea Adventure, right before the Ursula animatronic. We got to walk past her with her head dangling off her torso by a few wires. Very creepy since her mouth and body were still moving. We got a free fast pass for the trouble. I also once got an inshow exit on Grizzly River Run. Was rather annoying since we were forced to walk through water, but we all got a gift card to a nearby shoe shop so we wouldn’t be in wet shoes all day
My Husband and I got stuck on Ratatouille, ending in an in show exit. We started filming when a cast member told us we were not allowed to take video or any photos. Wanted to be on TPM so bad! We were on our honeymoon too!
I broke down on rise of the resistance in 2022 not even a joke, 20 FEET FROM THE EXIT! We waited like 20 minutes but even tho we were so close to the exit, we got lightning lanes for Smugglers Run. Big Ws
I think it looks like fun, especially when it's a ride like Toy Story Mania. We got stuck in Small World for about 20 min, (the music kept playing too) but we weren't evacuated... maybe next time 😅
Last year I had a breakdown at the very end of Rise of Resistance in Disneyland, right in front of the last scene with Admiral Ackbar (that’s Ackbar, right?). The ride stopped suddenly, the fire alarm went off and we had to be evacuated. It wasn’t scary or anything but I was relieved that I could see almost the entire ride before the break. I can understand how trilled people are in these kind of situations, I’m a huge Disney fan and I love to see what’s happening behind the curtains. But I must confess: I’m from Brazil and costs a lot of money to be in California (or even in Orlando, for that matter), so every time I have a chance to visit a Disney park I’m terrified with the possibility of being caught in an in-show exit 😬 That’s why I love TPM videos about rides breaking down: I can see all this breakdowns without being an actual participant 😂
This past trip at Disney World in Oct, on my first park day in the magic kingdom, i was waiting in line to ride Tiana's bayou adventure for the first time. However, it broke down and didn't even make it into the show building at all. We were given lightning lane to ride it later if it did reopen. It didn't up reopening before 6pm which was when the Halloween party started. So i went to city hall on main street and asked to move my lightning lane to tomorrow and got to ride twice in one day
I remember on Nov 18 I went to Disney with my family, we got on haunted mansion and we had to get evacuated thru the cast member break room, we weren’t even on the ride yet, but they closed it because all the carts crashed into each other and some of them even got derailed and flipped over
I got stuck on dinosaur for like 20 minutes. The ride was basically already over and we were about to be let off. We sat in that loading zone for twenty minutes and we missed most of the finding Nemo show. It was also pouring so that Animal Kingdom day could have gone better. Oh well 😅
Side note: I went to Disneyland again this year and for the second time I couldn’t ride Roger Rabbit’s Car Toon Spin 😢 It was the second time I went to Disneyland and the ride broke when I was in the line - almost the same way that happened the first time I was there. It’s not an interesting story because nothing trilling happened but it was very frustrating because I love the movie and really wanted to see this attraction.

love,
a carnival kid who used to help put those things together on the midway.
And those are Continental tyres, too! The standards are high, and it shows. I don't think anybody could've seen that coming, though.
It's called a "midway" because it's midway between fun and ripoff.
I will always love hearing “welcome to tpm vids Disney beat were we talk about all things Disney” it makes me so happy to hear that every time
I'm so jealous of the people that got stuck on the Holiday overlay of the Haunted Mansion because it's gorgeous with the Christmas decorations and they really make the ghosts pop!
I got stuck at the haunted mansion but it was in match or April but it was weird cause it crazy how the ghost just floats around the dining table

Someone send me a link to this because I GOTTA hear this!

"A bit annoying, but it could be worse" that's my favorite quip from you yet 🤣
It wouldn’t be a complete day without seeing ride breakdowns like this, plus, on certain cases, In-Show Exits!

13:25 Double crash !
That was a incredimalfunction video ❤

I broke down on the ratatouille ride at Epcot in August and the attention to detail was amazing

Buzz Lightyear always breaks down😂😂😂😂
Not surprised the ferris wheel didn't open for the rest of the day, ride that large has to take a while to strip down to reach a part like the wheel!
It’s always a great day when TPMvids uploads!

to be honset its pretty cool to see how the ride works when it breaks down so i can ask the cast for questions lol
We broke down on the people mover! Pretty cool and i dont remember it being too scary even though im afraid of heights

Well during my visit month ago, mom and I finished riding Winnie the Pooh just in time before breakdown at exit station.
