The Small World breakdown was perfection. The lone-rider gliding through squeaky-silence, interspersed with moments of jump-scare soundtrack. I laughed so hard.
If you think watching the mirror portal reset is excruciatingly slow from a guest POV, imagine what it's like to be the one spieling! If you look closely you can see me literally pleading with the portal for it to open correctly the second time lol
We actually got stuck on the Pirates of the Carabeans ride while it was in the scene with the pirates signing so we just listened to a single sea shanty for over 30 minutes. Still haunts me to this day
I was stuck on Pirates in Disney Paris and we were stuck going up. The water going down made us wet like crazy. Luckily it was a sunny day and it happened at 12 ish. So still time to dry of. Still at the end at 11-ish evening, my underwear was "moist" (yucky word, but for this it is the most accurate word)
We got stuck on tpotc and we were under the one pirates feet, in Disney world, and uh, we have gone multiple times and each time i thought the animatronic was gonna fall in the boat with us💀😭
We visited all 4 Florida Disney parks for the first time and all I’ll say is none of them are worth the money. Magic Kingdom is SOOO boring. The only decent ride is the new Tron coaster. Everything else there is SOOOO old and out of date and boring. They really need to get rid of Space Mountain which was boring, It’s a Small World which was cringe worthy and more. I mean, I know its supposed to be about nostalgia and all that, but I would NEVER pay a red penny to ever go back to anything of them. Epcot had one fun thing to do, the new Guardians of the Galaxy coaster. Animal Kingdom had the Pandora flight ride, and Hollywood Studios well, that had nothing worth going back for. I’ll stick with Universal Studios for now one, which completely blows all 4 Disney parks away put together. Disney parks are just pitiful.
I appreciate someone saying something. That was indeed dangerous and a sign that that they need to make everyone put their stuff away in lockers. There’s a reason why other parks do it.
Props to that cast member in the beauty and the beast attraction for doing her best to keep the magic alive with the door and not freak out or panic others when it malfunctioned!
I was actually the one who took the video!!! It was super special bc it’s my favorite ride of all time! Seeing him react to my video surprised me bc I’ve been a big fan of him for such a long time.
I'm a cast member at WDW and the Buzzing at HM could be the buss bar which is basically the electric power on the ride,in order to do the in show exits they put the ride in "Ride park" mode (at least that's what we do here) which means that the ride is not fully powered down in order to see what's going on while the in show is taking place! I hope this helps!! 😁 PS love your vids ❤
Yeah, I agree, my hearing is naturally crap so I've had to listen to TVs and stuff amplified and that's just how electrics, especially older electric stuff, sounds on its own. Like when you'd be waiting for a videotape to get to the next thing and all you'd have is blackness and buzzing. Sometimes my laptop does it when it's having a moment and will crap out on sound giving me that noise. Given it's much newer I assume it's a default frozen state of some sort.
I remember the enchanted tales with Belle. I thought we would hear a story from belle whether live-action of animated. instead, the mirror expands as it shows a door. it was so seamless I couldn't grasp how they did that. also congrats on your first ride breakdown in Walt Disney world.
Congratulations for LWTL! You finally appeared in a TPM Breakdown Video. Also I liked how that one Cast Member from Storytime With Belle just stayed in character the entire time.
That buzz sound from the haunted mansion ride is called a 50hz hum and it means an unshielded audio cable is open which means its disconnected it makes that buzz sound or if its plugged in it can either be a ground loop or the jack isn't fully plugged in also why they don't just turn the volume off or mute the sound.
I got stuck on Pirates at Magic Kingdom when I was a kid. The cast member put on waders and got into the water and pushed our boat to the nearest unload platform. Definitely a cool experience!
12:08 I think ppl don’t realize the reason it breaks down so much is because those sensors are so important, cast member was crushed by the rotating stage before they existed
I don't know what's more disturbing about number 9: the awkward silence of the ride with the gears, or the fact that Liz looked like she was the *only one* on the ride (if she was). 😂
It’s very interesting that someone caught video of the cat in Carousel of Progress. The cats usually don’t come out until late at night after all guests have left the parks. It’s usually only CastMembers that catch sight of them.
Don't know about Disney specifically, but speaking as an audio expert, I am assuming the buzzing could be from electrical interference. That could also be why the entire ride needed to be stopped.
I would LOVE to be evacuated from Living with the Land since it’s one of my favorites and I’ve never had the funds for Behind the Seeds… looks so interesting!!
16:29 That buzzing sound sounds similar to what happens when the Wii or Wii U freezes up during gameplay. My theory is that maybe one of their audio software has a glitch and froze up before a cast member switched to a different audio system. I don't know much about Disney and their softwares, but that is my theory
I got stuck on the last scene of Carousel of Progress when I was seven. These people were lucky they started moving after three performances because I had to sit there for SEVEN before we got evacuated. Even today, whenever I ride, I still check the walls after each scene to make sure we're moving.
I once broke down at Rise of the Resistance in Disneyland around January 2020. We stopped in the ATAT scene, and I wish I had taken a video! We had an in-show exit and it was super cool to see everything up close.
The little mermaid ride breakdown is really impressive breaking down in front of Ursula would be interesting if that was me I would not be disappointed
I used to work on Living with the Land back when CMs gave the narration on the boats. Evacuations rarely happened while I worked there. I can think of only three times where it happened while I was there. The boats are really easy to push on the water, even with guests on them.
I once got evacuated from tower of terror and the ride stopped right before the lightning strike sound effect and it was so scary anticipating the drop and it never happened! The person I was with never went to Disney before and he was all excited for the ride and I started panicking because I was waiting for the drop I knew was bound to happen but it never did. Then the lights turned on and we had an in show exit and the way to evacuate was to take another elevator hahaha
God I'd be mortified if it was my bag that stopped the ride. I know it was an accident but I'd be squirming. D: Also, kudos to that cast member in Enchanted Tales... bet she had fun improvising. xD
Gotta say, Disney Hong Kong is going things well with using more realistic features than projected faces, it makes it seem way more magical. (i havent been to any disney park, but the videos still make it magical even if I can't go and ride myself)
THAT’S MY CAROUSEL OF PROGRESS CLIP OH MY GODDDDDDD I actually screamed when I realized that was my clip and I’m ironically about to go to Magic Kingdom AGAIN today Thank you so so much for using my clip- I’m so glad you found it entertaining 😂😂 This is a dream come true omlllll LOVE YOU TPM 💕💕💕
I love these Top 10 Breakdowns... but now I wonder is there a "Paris Edition" or a "Worldwide Edition"😉😇😉??? (I'd just love to see more Breakdowns from the ride-versions I actually rode on)
I think its frankly hilariously dark when the little mermaid ride shuts down and Sebastion says 'it might be the sea witch!' when it could just be someone in a wheelchair trying to get on
This happened to me once on the Pooh Bear ride. Halfway through the ride stopped and we had to get off and walk the rest of the way. It was actually fun, though seeing all the scenes there walking vs normally gave it a different feel.
Ride breakdowns at Disney hit different because when we see the ride with the lights on, it enhances the magic because we can see what the imaginers did inside of the attraction and see what they did and how the theming works and that is so cool for a lot of us. I personally have never had a ride breakdown before, and I am hoping for one in the future whenever I go back.
Also, grandma was just playin away when the carousel of progress broke down she was just like, "Be quiet, let me game" YOU GO, GRANDMA, GAME GRANDMA GAME!!!
I wasn’t on the ride, but I was in the queue for the Figment ride at EPCOT. The ride went down while I was in the queue and I and some other guests ended up waiting about 10 minutes before the cast members escorted is all out and gave us all a Lightning Lane ^^
I got stuck in phantom manor in Paris as a kid. I think it was my first time riding the attraction and I was so scared. We sat in front of the four heads singing for what felt like hours. At some point the sound was gone but the projection on the heads was still working, not helping to make this creepy situation any less scary to a little girl... Funnily the scene with the heads is now my favorite one on that ride 😉
2:04 this is the first time the Hong Kong version of the frozen ride has ever broke down 2:53 looks like it’s a silent world rather than it’s a small world 5:13 looks like we’re stuck in front of Ursula 6:48 looks like we got the first lights on experience on living with the land 8:27 look the lift has opened up by itself and the lights are on 10:03 I hope not because if someone is messing about on stage they will get removed by a cast member 10:39 I believe there’s a mechanical issue with the moving parts the way it’s not moving to the end of the show at all 12:33 I believe this is the first time ever someone has caught this breakdown of the goofys sky school 14:30 did I just heard the cast member saying oh no 16:20 once again haunted mansion is broken down again 18:04 looks like Sven and Olaf have been frozen to the spot
once when ridding the peter pan ride at Disneyland we were broken down at one of the downward angles and we kept having to reajust ourselves to avoid slipping out of our seats. it was neat though the cast members were funny and asked us if we wanted to get off at anytime. we stuck around and rode the whole way through once it started again.
When I got off the little mermaid ride at Disney world my parents were at the part when the bar is about to go up but they had to stop it for someone in a wheelchair
My papa is terrified of roller coaster, but my parents got him to agree to go on space Mountain in Walt Disney before I was born and the ride broke down with them on it. They had to turn the lights on and now my papa is even more terrified then before of roller coasters.
Last time I was at Disney, I was on the Little Mermaid ride when we stopped and I instantly got filled with excitement bc I thought it was my first malfunction experience and we’d get an in-show exit but nah, the ride started back up and kept going :( Also, the physical animatronic faces for the Frozen ride in Hong Kong 100% look better than the projection ones in Florida. I’m sure they’re also less creepy when they’re turned off or malfunctioning 😅
That buzzing you are hearing is likely the control PC crashing or freezing causing audio jitter, which will prolong the audio then cut it off and it probably self restarts or unfreezes, so its probably stuck in a loop. its possible the electronics are overheating, as that is a common reason.
4:33 Sebastian: What's 'dis? You've come to a stop? Hmm, maybe it's that sea witch! Hmph! Listen to me: stay seated in your clamshells while I get to the bottom of 'dis.
im boycotting disney right now, because i dont uspport their actions regarding the israli genocide, so i love these videos because im able to watch some unique experiences i am not able to experience right now :) thanks for posting stuff like this.
makes me wonder what could make living with the lands brake down because if just one water pump stops working surly the rest can still push the boat along. unless maybe a boat sank...
One time I got stuck right when the boulder in Indiana Jones was going to drop! We sadly didn't have an in-show exit but when it turned back on it was at full speed so we went full speed down the drop and we got to go on the ride again!
The one and only time I've been on the little mermaid ride I broke down right in front of a fish playing a tuba. It was literally the only thing I could see for a solid 15 minutes.😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
fun fact: my service dog and I have been on the little mermaid ride several times and they never stop the belt like they're supposed to. It's crazy getting him and I in. They'll stop it for Haunted Mansion and Space Ranger Spin, but not Ariel's or Nemo. Super duper fast boarding.
When it comes to service dogs we (wdw cast members) are not always required to stop or slow the ride for service animals. However we will slow if you ask. I’m not sure about all the rides, because as you mentioned some of them do stop, but from what I know working a turn table ride myself we usually stop if we don’t think you can make it in safely or if it’s obvious that you need assistance that requires it. 💜
@@NotajellyfishI’m glad I’m lucky enough to be aware of that as of now to the point where I expected those situations were supposedly mentioned in this list, because I remember feeling restless when having to deal with them during my trips as a kid. I remember stopping on Haunted Mansion during my recent trip from earlier this year and noticed an electric scooter parked outside after finally disembarking, which must’ve served as an obvious hint.
The family in the background of the Little Mermaid ride is textbook 21st century. The kid's all excited to have a fun ride experience, and both parents have their eyes glued to their phones.
I was on the Disney wish over the summer and we were going on the aquamouse (the water slide on the ship) and I was going by myself and the ride broke down right before we slide down. We were able to walk down the ride it was really slippery and really cool.
Hope you all enjoy this breakdown video!!😁 If anyone has a clip they’d like to share, submit it to www.tpmvids.com
my idea for a new Disney cruise ship theater show

@TPMvids love ur vids your the best and I’m always ready for my in show exit
A holiday edition to this video I like it
Loved it!
The Small World breakdown was perfection. The lone-rider gliding through squeaky-silence, interspersed with moments of jump-scare soundtrack. I laughed so hard.
The only way it could have been creepier is if when the music started playing, it played the version of Small World from the video game Epic Mickey.
If you think watching the mirror portal reset is excruciatingly slow from a guest POV, imagine what it's like to be the one spieling! If you look closely you can see me literally pleading with the portal for it to open correctly the second time lol
its so awesome to see cast members comment on videos where they were in, idk why but it makes me so happy

The one of the goofy ride was something unique, the worst part is that the passengers of the vehicle could have cause an accident or something serious
I appreciate someone saying something. That was indeed dangerous and a sign that that they need to make everyone put their stuff away in lockers. There’s a reason why other parks do it.
Some rides don’t have you do that
Props to that cast member in the beauty and the beast attraction for doing her best to keep the magic alive with the door and not freak out or panic others when it malfunctioned!
10:26 Glad to see Charlie Brown's teacher is getting some work again.
I have to just say how amazing the animatronic faces on frozen are compared to the old ones. They look amazing!!!
18:43 The animatronics do get a little quirky at night
I always found it funny when real animals accidentally get in a area that they aren't supposed to be.
The Tower of Terror drop looks way less intense with the lights on and stuff. People were vibing 😭😭

When it was called America sings. She was just a teen too
I’m glad you added subtitles to the sixth break down cause I could NOT understand what the dude on the speaker was saying. 😂

“I wonder what goes on here at night.”

Don't know about Disney specifically, but speaking as an audio expert, I am assuming the buzzing could be from electrical interference. That could also be why the entire ride needed to be stopped.
“This has got to be one of the craziest experiences at small world ever”
The naked guy a couple of weeks ago:
I would LOVE to be evacuated from Living with the Land since it’s one of my favorites and I’ve never had the funds for Behind the Seeds… looks so interesting!!
I was thinking the same thing. It would be great if they could get a wheelchair back to me.❤
16:29 That buzzing sound sounds similar to what happens when the Wii or Wii U freezes up during gameplay.
My theory is that maybe one of their audio software has a glitch and froze up before a cast member switched to a different audio system. I don't know much about Disney and their softwares, but that is my theory
My laptop has done it too so I assume it's just a default state signifier.
@Roadent1241 It could be. I'm leaning towards audio system error
I got stuck on the last scene of Carousel of Progress when I was seven. These people were lucky they started moving after three performances because I had to sit there for SEVEN before we got evacuated. Even today, whenever I ride, I still check the walls after each scene to make sure we're moving.

That's my girl.
I’m going to Disneyland next week and it’s gonna be so weird without the screams from splash mountain.
Number 9 with the “it’s a small world” feels like it came out of Epic Mickey
With the Little Mermaid that has happened to me many, many times.
Whenever i see its a small world now, my mind automatically goes to one specific recent incident 😂.
Glad someone knows about the naked guy as well
I'm sorry, the WHAT? Now I'm morbidly curious!

thank you for your videos. you’ve helped influenced my love for disney. now, i just annoy my family with facts and wishes of breakdowns.

11:01 I wonder if something fell or indeed the cat caused movement to sensed by the sensors. Power to the audience for staying in high spirits
Gotta say, Disney Hong Kong is going things well with using more realistic features than projected faces, it makes it seem way more magical.
(i havent been to any disney park, but the videos still make it magical even if I can't go and ride myself)

The buzzing was definitely because the haunted mansion is actually haunted. 100%.
The mirror thing happend to me once too.

Ride breakdowns at Disney hit different because when we see the ride with the lights on, it enhances the magic because we can see what the imaginers did inside of the attraction and see what they did and how the theming works and that is so cool for a lot of us. At some point the sound was gone but the projection on the heads was still working, not helping to make this creepy situation any less scary to a little girl... Funnily the scene with the heads is now my favorite one on that ride 😉
2:04 this is the first time the Hong Kong version of the frozen ride has ever broke down

5:13 looks like we’re stuck in front of Ursula
6:48 looks like we got the first lights on experience on living with the land
8:27 look the lift has opened up by itself and the lights are on
10:03 I hope not because if someone is messing about on stage they will get removed by a cast member
10:39 I believe there’s a mechanical issue with the moving parts the way it’s not moving to the end of the show at all
12:33 I believe this is the first time ever someone has caught this breakdown of the goofys sky school
14:30 did I just heard the cast member saying oh no
16:20 once again haunted mansion is broken down again
18:04 looks like Sven and Olaf have been frozen to the spot

fun fact: my service dog and I have been on the little mermaid ride several times and they never stop the belt like they're supposed to.
The animatronics do get a bit... ~QuIrKy~ at night (I'm sorry but the #1 clip made me think of it)
Not that one guy filming himself screaming 9:30
I’m so excited to watch!!!!!!! 🎉
Enjoy!!
We got stuck right at Ursula 😂😂😂
So amazing to see those rides transforming in a Christmas theme for the holidays
The family in the background of the Little Mermaid ride is textbook 21st century. The kid's all excited to have a fun ride experience, and both parents have their eyes glued to their phones.
I went on Gaurdians of the galaxy Halloween version and rocket was broken and I have the video it is so cool!
That’s cool!!
Omg hi!! I love the channel and I have Disneyland passes crossed fingers I can meet you!! I hope that my video makes it into a video!!🙂
3:30 Turn on the Halloween (Michael Myers) theme. It will be terrifying 😂😂😂
17:30 I think (by what I know) that is a sort of ""alarm""
Now, I don't know what it's for but that's what I know
I remember one yr i was on mansion all myself n it was crazy it was a walk. Lol. Also I was on small world all by myself n that was crazy 2. 😂
I was on the Disney wish over the summer and we were going on the aquamouse (the water slide on the ship) and I was going by myself and the ride broke down right before we slide down. We were able to walk down the ride it was really slippery and really cool.
10:26 man is STRESSED lol
I'd rather have a frozen Ursula stare in my soul than be stuck on 'It's a Small World' with no music playing!
I blame Jack Skellington for the Haunted Mansion holiday ride breaking down. Or Lock, Shock, and Barrel 🤣
I love how all of the Carousel of Progress people basically lost their minds in the theater lmao.
Hey, if you've been told to just sit there and nothing's happening you might as well enjoy yourself. :P
