    Still the best looking soft top on the road today. This guy is a tool at best. The rear seats are totally usable as it is a true 4 seat convertible. I have this exact car and yes you need to maintain it just like all cars. Mine is now 20 years old and has been modded, 18 inch rims, coilovers catless exhaust, scavenge cams and a ECU chip. It has been lowered by about an inch making it look very sleek and long and this is certainly not a chick mobiel, you need the TT for that title. The A4 B6 convertible is by now a classic and it certainly should be.

    What about the 1.8 Turbo? this pleb doesn't even know of the highest selling engine model & rear seats are fine for 2 adults! Mind you, he didn't know the gearbox is a Multitronic (CVT) there are no cogs, just 2 chain driven pulleys.

    • @wilbermunn9532
      @wilbermunn9532 4 года назад +1

      @@marlishamarsh1573 I picked up an '05 1.8T s-line version with 170k miles on it for about £1k (private) + another £900 to get _everything_ wrong with it sorted - half of the damage was me ripping the exhaust off messily on a really bad pot hole on a farm road mind you. The only issue since was a snapped window regulator cable just the other week (the cable was the original 2005 cable) & a very minor leak in the roof at back (slight separation of back glass from fabric) which was sorted with about 15p of superglue and 10 minutes of my time. Parts pricing - depends on the part. If it's typical car stuff like ignition coils / wheels you'll be fine - it shares a lot of the common VAG parts - the 1.8T is used in VW models too etc, but the roof parts being more specialist/rare could be expensive (haven't had to go there with mine yet). The cars are ridiculously cheap all things considered - I couldn't buy a non-basic ford fiesta in as good shape as the A4 I picked up for that price ... and a basic ford fiesta is just not in the same league even as the basic 1.8T A4 cabby ... with it's big ass touch-of-a-button sunroof :):):)

      It's a heavy engine, fairly heavy car and a road with lots of bumps. On a day to day basis the suspension is great but a road like that reminds you there's some weight to manage and that shows in some of the clips.

    If he thinks this Audi A4 is cringeworthy to drive, then Audi topped that with the TT. A “soft” sports car at best, with average performance. Then TT owners talk about the mass produced Mk1 as a “future classic”. Totally deluded. 😂
