Thanks for that. Me & my Wife were looking at buying one. It looks civilised & enjoyable. Matt, he wasnt trying to be funny, just giving an honest view of the car.............grow up!

You need to scroll to 8:54 to see the headlights to be sure that he is in fact reviewing the B7 version, but I like the no nonsense straight to the point presentation. Thumb up!

If you could tell us what sort of oil consumption is expected & how often the timing chain should be looked at this would be mighty useful...........thanks.......

To be honest the timing chain on these are pretty good and around every 60-80k miles is a good recommendation. Of course depends how hard it is driven. If you buy a car with 80,000 miles on it and it has not had a timing chain changed, I would get it done. Do you mean fuel consumption? Re: oil, to keep good maintenance, Audi states around 10,000 miles for an oil change but I would do 7,500. Some people do it sooner but not really necessary. Fuel-wise, mpg real world figures are wide ranging, depending how you drive. Drive like an undertaker, 35mpg is achievable. Drive properly.....like a V8 should be driven, you will get around 20mpg and possibly less. But do you buy a V8 for mpg? I had an '06 Mustang modified 4.6 V8 and got 25 on a run and 13 round town....and loved every penny. Sold that a few weeks ago and my heavily modified 7 litre V8 1971 Mach 1 is predicted to do between 4 and 8mpg. As a daily driver, mpg can be more of a concern I understand, depending on your use. I would plan for 20..anything more is a bonus.

Again, thanks for that info. Its about looking for a car thats been well maintained. We will look on the the DVLA website to see what sort of history its got & when viewing we will take your advise & look for when the timing chain has been changed or not..........thanks again, there should be more people like you out there...... all my best for the future.

I loved the video, the accuracy was 100%...I own 2005 S4 convertible with 6sp and navigation. It's red with black interior with only 56,000mi. This is truly a German male's car..I say this because who you see driving them. This car must be driven aggressive at times for the benefit of precision German engineering. I might add there's nothing like turning heads with people see a small car coming down the street with such a low bark.
    Mine is for sale😉

Loads of gadgets are for immature teenages and would spoil the car.thats why all new modern cars not as good.this car is perfect the way it is

Audi slow for size of the v8 engine, and a nightmare to work on or very expensive to have a garage work on it.. just about any work under the bonnet, the front end has to come off🙄
