@@valeriosanna1692 eh, maybe. but the globes aren't usually *that* correlative with the oscars unless the winner sweeps the awards. the globes were (i think) the only televised awards body to nominate boy and the heron in score, plus they expanded to several hundreds of new international members. they gave anatomy of a fall of all things best screenplay. nobody could've seen that coming. i'm not saying that they only gave boy and the heron the golden globe cuz they're mostly international/biased, and i'm not saying that spiderverse should win the oscar cuz it's american...

The Boy and The Heron is a hand drawn frame by frame animation, a literal poetry in motion with packed full of metaphors and hidden messages like a true masterpiece indeed. Spiderverse can suck it they’ve been using AI to generate their 3D bs styles that just no brainer cheating, lack of imagination, and an insult to cinema.

I watched his documentary at NHK world. He plan his son Goro to inherit his anime making but I knew he can't retired as long as he still alive 😂 the best part of the documentary when his neighbor cute little girl said thank you for your anime with polite gesture then she grab the little girl hand and scratch it at his beard then the little girl are giggle 😅❤

I hate modern american live action movies and disney animated films nowadays. They only treat it as a means to make money which is why the industry is oversaturated with using the same formulas and not trying to revolutionize it except in tech to make movies cheaper and flashier. Studio Ghibli is one of the few studios who value creativity, hardwork, and artistry. Miyazaki is extremely important because he is the main reason for how Studio Ghibli is today. With only pencil and paper they have made one of the most important animated pictures in many years. Winning the Oscar with a PG-13 film will proove to the judges that animation is not just a genre for kids but a medium that can in some ways surpass live action because of its level of expression and conveying emotions through even solely visuals.
Sad he wasn't there accepted his award but thankfully they would have sended it to him.
