    Fun fact
Actually ,he has a special ability,he can draw accurately what he observed once.
One day he sketched drafts of spirted away,he draw some buildings which he visited on a company trip few years ago.
Then his producer Suzuki saw them and he was so surprised because his sketch was completely correct even the number of pillar. Even though Miyazaki never took photos,he remembered everything.

Really beautiful, one thing I recalled by watching it that just art making skills aren't enough you should have experiences that you can put into the art.

How marvellous, being an admirerer of both Saint-Exupery and Miyazaki, discovering that they are connected across time and space. Thank you so much for this film.

Jim Hubbert is a legend for translating this. I can understand the lady doing the narration a little bit, but Miyazaki is really impossible to understand if you're not fluent.

Many, many thanks to those who uploaded this wonderful documentary, and for providing the translation. Seeing Miyazaki's enthusiasm is infectious, and I am certain that many are and will be inspired by Miyazaki the way he was with Saint-Exupéry.

I watched this documentary a year ago and now i've came back to it for a re-watch. I truly appreciate Miyazaki's love for my country and its people, as well as his passion for the postal history between Morocco and France (despite the map being wrong; the sahara is forever Moroccan.)

I never gave much importance to Exupery. I fell him... nice. But is curious to observe that Miyazaki, an absolute genius for me, has Exupery as his most important influence. Someone can watch the stars and just see a glimpse of light. Another see poetry, mistery, eternity. The genius eyes...

He is probably trying to imagine how would that scene fit into animation. He does this gesture quite frequently when he is working on his movies. He would sit behind his desk in the studio doing this and then draw something immediately after.
