  • This is our all purpose bbq rub. We use this exact recipe on all the meats we smoke.

    1C - Kosher Salt
    1C - Turbinado Sugar
    1/2 C- Light Brown Sugar
    4 tbs - Paprika
    4 tbs - Chili Powder
    4 tbs - Coarse Black Pepper
    2 tbs - Granulated Onion
    2 tbs - Granulated Garlic
    2 tbs - Cumin
    2 tbs - Thyme
    4 tsp - Cayenne
    2 tsp - Nutmeg

    I agree wholeheartedly about the “binder”. The “binder” actually retards the ability of the meat to accept smoke. I spritz with apple cider vinegar so the rub emulsifies. It doesn’t retard the smoke at all. Plus the mild acidity of the vinegar aids in tenderness. Plus, French’s yellow mustard is a culinary disgrace. No offense.

    Does this work with every bbq meat or is this a specific rub for a certain meat? Do you have a bbq sauce recipe?

      I use this recipe for all meats. Pork, brisket, ribs and chicken. I'll post a video soon about my sauce recipe. Sorry I've been under the weather for a week.
