Ashley becoming a "milk monster" might also be foreshadowed in EP2, where Sage told ashley she should remain useful to homelander by 'getting some lactation going'.
Also cant help but notice the difference in aesthetic for Butcher at the start as compared to the end. He started the episode dressed in white, and is in a dull yet light-shaded room with lights and safety. Almost as if there, Butcher was in a place that repesented hope or whats left of his hunanity. And he was with Grace and Ryan, one of his oldest friends/allies that he can rely on when he needs it, and the kid he loves and is trying to save And then later, the episode ends wuth Butcher alone. Grace and Ryan have gone, hes abandoned the plan and The Boys. Hes on the road, in his dark car at night, focused on his revenge against Homelander, now with only Kessler to keep him company. All Butcher has left is his darkest self, a Butcher who isnt focused on Hope. Just bloodshed
@@RadiatorRoyTechStudiozI would love a scene where Homelander tries to use Butchers compassion for Ryan against him only for Butcher to slaughter him in front of homelander

It's exactly this kind of thing that first led me to ignore haters and enjoy what I enjoy. You lay out, in reasonable detail, a long list of things people had to ignore so they could complain about the show.
Those of us who weren't blown away by this season can see the changes but a lot of them either didn't feel impactful/weren't needed for the story(to us). Hughie learning to let go is a great example of effective development. It doesn't take all season (and shouldn't) because it doesn't push the plot. The storyline stayed long enough to be effective and then it ended. Butcher, starlight, kimiko, and Frenchie all had storylines that were dragged for too long. The Butcher stuff is at least pivotal to the plot but the kimiko and Frenchie plot points weren't especially since they ended up just being reset to the way they were during season 3. Characters receiving development is great, but if it's not going to change their future actions then it shouldn't be dragged all season. I still enjoyed the show and there were some really good things this season (A-train/sage/others) but overall it just wasn't as impactful for me
I disagree. A subplot's only effectiveness is not advancing the plot. A subplot's goal is to support the main story through either plot, theme, or setting. With the thematic statements of "how far are you willing to forgive?" And another thematic statement, "humans need to become monsters to beat the monster." I think Hughies, Frenchie, and Komiko's story helped the main narrative this season. Frenchie couldn't live to his potential until he admitted to the wrongs of his past and thought seeking forgiveness from his victims would fix him, but instead it hindered him. It wasn't until the end of this season he realized placing your need of self-acceptance onto others can't heal you without you forgiving yourself. Hughie needed to forgive his mother for how she left the family and Hughie realized that he allowed his actions on the job (crime, blood, etc) dictate his humanity, when it should've been the opposite. Butcher struggled with both the theme and the plot because of his connection with Ryan, the virus, and want of closure. We end this season with Butcher disagreeing with the theme of this season; forgiveness is not necessary and the only way to win is to be them. We will presumably see the consequences of everyone's actions next season. How will The Boys win by choosing to be more human instead of monsters, what will happen to Butcher now that he decided to choose being a monster. If you don't like this season, that's completely okay and I can't force you to see it being impactful to me, but I wanted to provide a different perspective.
I think they should give Ashlee powers like Medusa had (from the inhumans. She could control her hair, used like whips). She had red hair and a lot of focus on her constantly ripping it out. With her head bubbling like that it is a possibility.
And her motive in that moment was to stop them from getting her. That would translate great into Medusa type freezing powers if you make eye contact or whatever
Ashley's transformation reminded me more of the leaders transformation in the incredible hulk than a horror movie. Yes she was in pain and yelling but that's kind of the norm when using V. Also makes sense if you think about how Sage gave Ashley the boot from the top floor, that she could potentially be her nemesis and develop abilities to match.
Instead of being like the comics, I suspect the endgame battle in the White house could litteraly be an all-out fight between Homelander, Soldier Boy, Butcher, Ryan and possibly whoever it is they gonna introduce into season 5, the showrunners gotta be thinking of topping that fight in Herogasm.
I'm thinking ryan releases sb Flys him away and hides him out. Ryan then brings butcher to the same place so him and sb can workout their differences. Sb and butcher teach ryan to fight but in the moment of truth sb and butcher make ryan fly away as they sacrifice themselves in a massive explosion to kill hl. The event changes ryan shaping him into the world's first true superhero
Have Ryan appear too, He’s in his Early Teens and It’d make way too much sense for him to Appear in Gen V Season 2, Hell I was even expecting a Small Cameo from him in Season 1.
I love Sage. Equal parts adorable snark and terrifying genius sociopath. A well-crafted role with a fabulous actress. Am I the only one who noticed Sage could have cured her grandmother of cancer? A different kind and not cancer enhanced with V, but cancer. Now what could give Sage a reason to help Butcher, and would he want her to cure him?
Ok, but I started wondering about one thing: what was Butcher's plan when he called Hugie? And the more I think about it, the more I feel like he decided to let Kessler take control back then already. I mean, the whole conversation (especially the part "tell the Boys I'm sorry") felt very "I'm gonna do something you won't like, I won't like it either, but once it's done, there's no coming back". I mean, it didn't feel like simply a goodbye before his death, you know what I mean? So, I think it's possible that what Butcher really wanted was to get Ryan, but not to use him against Homelander, but to protect Ryan FROM HIM, once Kessler takes over. I don't know, it just seems to me that Ryan killing Grace wasn't the reason Butcher chose his path (or at least not the main/only one).
Everyone all upset at Neumann's death seem to forget how many heads shes popped. If she didnt interfere with season 2 Vought would have been defeated then
At this point death is too easy of an ending for this version for Homelander, a more poetic ending would be for him to be permanently disabled and forced to live out the rest of his life forgotten by everyone
Did no one watch the diabolical series? Episode 7 explains. A female patient has pancreatic cancer, and her husband gives her compound V her cancer becomes sentient like butchers, and has tentacles as well. Hers is able to digest actual humans would like an acid when it comes to contact because it’s the pancreas. Butchers a bit different cause it originated in his brain.
@@DaltonDaDigga Do you think starlight was able to fly quickly and save Kimiko in time before they took her somewhere else? Or did HL already have other plans for Kimiko and Sam already took her in successfully?
there was a leak kong time ago by soenone who leaked s1-4 accurately. even had the deaths named out like zoe to secret agents, victoria by butcher, grace by ryan etc. n they said maave is pregnant with butchers kid but she’s not a supe ofc. the major one i saw was homelander will turn to a non supe temporary meaning he loses his powers until (until frenchie or sage makes him a new compound. V) also Soilder boy returns with sams character from supernatural will be a thor parody character(who butcher head-buts in the comics)
I think that Ashley will develop a power that offsets Sister sage intelligence. She either will be smarter or something that will allow her to help the boys figure out how to win.
Im hoping Ashley becomes a medusa-like Supe. But, like, kinda like a hydra. Like, she lost her hair from her anxiety, and replaced it with a wig. So Im hoping she fets snake hair that grows back extra snakes when theyre cut
I still think Sage will turn on Homelander and Maive is definitely gonna come up big in the final season. Don’t know if Sage will do it for good or evil but definitely will turn on him. Too many clues showing all that. Sage like you also said wants to be the king know all. She doesn’t want that for Homelander, this is just a big chessboard for her.
@@lieutenantflyboy So that may answer the question for the missing vills of compund v that Homelander had stashed in his room??? Didn't think about that
Why didn't they use Cindy to kill Neumann? And Cindy probably won't kill people like her. She didn't kill Lamplighter or his "friends". Cindy sees Vought as giving her powers. Like being accepted into the fold. Instead of at its mercy. Isn't that what everyone is trying to do? Be of value?
I think Stan Edgar will take the president’s place for that iconic scene (Giancarlo Esposito is a great choice when it comes to iconic death scenes in television)
This might be headcanon fanfic but pulling from the comic since Noir was a countermeasure to if Homelander went rogue what if Edgar had something similar a supe designed to kill Homelander maybe a monster like Doomsday
Nice video. New York state is known as the Empire State. So the that is where the building gets the name instead of Empire States Building. Just fyi. 👍🏻
At 27:27 of the Ep. The Deep spells her name "Ashlee" not "Ashley". I thought that might be the right spelling at first but its The Deep and he's not the brightest so idk 😂. Can someone fact check me and see if thats actually how you spell her name in the show?
Billy covered her mouth before she could say anything, why cover her mouth unless she might say something he didn’t want her to say. no one expected tentacles bursting out of Billy
The last 5mins of the episode was the best of s4, that final scene with the old characters returning, specially Cindy, the nirvana track playing, the while thing was fucking fire and I can't wait for season 5
Ashley will probably get hair related powers Firecracker is the one who will become a monster similar to MM's mother, she's literally breastfeeding HL, he keep mistreatening her, she's a clingy person taking meds that clearly affect her, etc etc
i think Ashley will be given mental powers equal to Sage. She couldn't stand that Sage had her ousted out of being CEO of Vought so maybe she things that being smarter than Sage would make her more valuable to Homelander. As to the ending, i really think it'll follow Homelander sitting in the oval office and Billy confronting him
Imo Soldier Boy is prob going to side with Homelander. His son in basically the President now so he’s the strongest being in every way. He’s no longer a “disappointment”. He only said all of that because he was a man of his word to Butcher. Homelander will prob let him on his side but he’ll be the one with the authority in this weird father and son situation
Only 3 ppl that can take out homelander Ryan as he gets older and learns to harness his power soldier boys nuke blast and sage being smart to construct an idea to kill homelander. (creating a compound v dosage that's strong enough to create a super hero stronger then homelander or a virus that she puts in milk)
Firecracker could get herself a new heart much like how a train did in s3, means we see more of her in gen v s2 and maybe season 5 and see more of her powers (to this point have been lackluster) . If it happens I think they would give her Andre's heart due to chance perdomo' passing.
Butcher must be insanely overpowered now to be able to effortlessly take out Neuman like that in one stroke. She is a supe who was able to manipulate peoples’ blood into causing their heads to explode, was invulnerable to Homelander’s laser beams (to an extent), and even bullets didn’t phase her. Like holy shit!
Hl wasn't trying to hurt neuman he just wanted to expose her. Hl said on numerous occasions he could warm up a cup of tea with his lasers or cut a whole through solid steel, he has great control. Neuman never displayed examples of super strength or durability so while she maybe bullet proof she's a far cry from hl or sb levels of durability
So her weakness is a vantablack painted room? I’m curious if she heals at that level because I’m to really to think if were me having me these powers since birth I would have either played with death or thought of some contingency to keep my circulatory systems intact with my power.
I’m calling it now… Stressing Homelander out rapidly ages him and that’s what’s going to kill him. He’s built to breakdown so Vought doesn’t have to deal with another Soldier Boy or Stormfront. Also finding out Stormfront is his mom is going to send him over the deep (lol) end. The virus? Is going to be used to kill Butcher.
Concerning Gen V season 2, the actor of Andre actually died prior to the boys 4 so if they didn’t shoot enough scenes with him for s2 Andre might be killed offscreen
I joked if they do a Don Cheadle style recast, they could play it as “The experiments change you so much, you don’t look like the same person.” But I am more leaning Andre’s father Polarity taking on the story arc, a father needing to avenge his son instead of a son coming to grips with his relationship with his father.
Hahaha bro that ashley theory is so stupid 😂😂😂 her head was mutating after she took V, pretty obvious that she’s gonna have some power having to do with her hair
I think Soldier boy will want to take Ryan because he said Homelander would be better if he brought up him (like he couldn't be father but will be grandfather)
Id _love_ it if he saw what Homelander's becone, knows what he himself is, and decides not to let Ryan get fcked up too. It'd give him his own little redemption arc, and play really well into the themes the show has of generational truama just continuing down the line, and itd be nice to see one of the older generation finally seeing that and stopping it
Or maybe just maybe since Ashley has been pulling her hair out she could use her hair like Sindel does in Mortal Kombat. Idk I thought it would be an interesting take. I could be stretching out that theory but it’s the thoughts that counts
man i just thought they lost the plot. this is so off the rails i dont even wanna finish the video let alone watch the series. theres creative liberties and then theres full bastardization
@@DavidS.Pumpkin oh trust me I agree, I would love for the show to just keep going but look at how marvel is doing right now after continuing to pump out content no matter how good or bad
I’m calling it: Ashley has an ability to information an perception because of how she is…also the virus will become airborne because of homelanders disgust of sickness and weakness although it still won’t be to kill him, just his supe allies
BOOM!!! I CALLED IT!!! When Butcher and Hughie got powers I theorized the powers they got were a result of their subconscious and a very very strong emotion.
I would love for The Boys to spoof Heavy Spoilers. This channel does feed into the obsessive culture around superheroes and pop culture and he is always talking about liking his videos and buying his merch. I don’t think they would be particularly kind to him if they did spoof him. He’s definitely part of the thing they like to mock.

Too many clues showing all that. Sage like you also said wants to be the king know all. She doesn’t want that for Homelander, this is just a big chessboard for her.
Absolutely! Ceaser was betrayed. By who, his own. Many of his own.
Yeah she is Brutus lol
I have a question where is doc samir shah he is Zoe's father right?
Seeing Love Sausage confused me I thought he got bombed by Solider Boy got his V fried at herogasm? Anyone else remember!!!???
Kimiko lost and then got her powers back by taking more compound V, maybe the same happened to Love Sausage.
@@lieutenantflyboy So that may answer the question for the missing vills of compund v that Homelander had stashed in his room??? Didn't think about that
I don't think they work for Homelander. Possibly went to kill him and found more V.
I think it was strange that Cindy is fighting with Homelander after what Vought's done to her.
Given Homelander did a staff purge, that seems like a good case to present to her that his Vought is different.
Don’t forget Cate guys, which is most likely why she’s on vought side
@blablablabla411 Also where did they find Cindy?
@@lemmingrad but it was mainly storm front running the place, right?
Why didn't they use Cindy to kill Neumann? And Cindy probably won't kill people like her. She didn't kill Lamplighter or his "friends". Cindy sees Vought as giving her powers. Like being accepted into the fold. Instead of at its mercy. Isn't that what everyone is trying to do? Be of value?
I was really expecting to see Stormfront in one of those incubators at the end of
Paul is always the first to upload that's why he's our boy!
Paul, OH Captain, My Captain
Man. That was one wild ride!
Thanks for the video, Paul! Always excited for more of this world! :P
I think ashley will become some what like mega mind or a huge brain person. I mean she is smart and she might go against Sage.
I called Ashley taking compound V 2 days before it aired, and her becoming a Medusa seems obvious. They even made a point to have her wig fall off.
Just realized that original head exploding frequency storyline could be what inspired Quiet Place 😂
Ashley’s transformation kind of reminded me of mohinder from heroes
Calling him blonde ambition is actually insane 😅😂
Calhoun is the President, though. Not just Speaker.
I THINK ASHLEY IS GOING TO BECOME ‘THE LEGEND’ SHE LITERALLY KNOWS EVERYTHING
@4:12 If Kate is ordered to and can get close enough, she can hypnotize Soldier Boy into joining the 7 under Homelanders Command.
Can't wait for season 5, I love where this season ended. I wonder what they would do with Soldier boy and Ashley.
Everyone always spell it wrong 😒
Or you could fact check yourself
We lost Todd this season, true American hero😔
Just had a thought… what if the Neuman we saw get ripped in two was a shape shifter?
Billy covered her mouth before she could say anything, why cover her mouth unless she might say something he didn’t want her to say.
no one expected tentacles bursting out of Billy
Love that theory
Paul looks like the deep 😂
What if Ashley grows a big brain, like the Leader in Marvel? She and Sage could take each other out in very unique ways.
The last 5mins of the episode was the best of s4, that final scene with the old characters returning, specially Cindy, the nirvana track playing, the while thing was fucking fire and I can't wait for season 5
Ashley will probably get hair related powers
Firecracker is the one who will become a monster similar to MM's mother, she's literally breastfeeding HL, he keep mistreatening her, she's a clingy person taking meds that clearly affect her, etc etc
i think Ashley will be given mental powers equal to Sage. She couldn't stand that Sage had her ousted out of being CEO of Vought so maybe she things that being smarter than Sage would make her more valuable to Homelander.
As to the ending, i really think it'll follow Homelander sitting in the oval office and Billy confronting him
Wonder why Cindy didn’t grow her hair or maybe this season is a compressed timeline
In the final season, I think homelander will use Soldier boy DNA to stay young.
Only 3 ppl that can take out homelander
Ryan as he gets older and learns to harness his power
soldier boys nuke blast and
sage being smart to construct an idea to kill homelander.
Just finished watching. Soooo good damn
Cindy could of killed her easily.
It ain’t happen yet but RIP A-Train
Question:
When Butcher was holding Neuman then why didn't she simply started popping heads , u know like fight back or sth...?
The tentacles quickly blinded her before she could react. It was a stupid idea to turncoat. All she had to do was follow orders
@@Franklin_Malloy Hmmm yea that makes sense...
Everyone drifts away from Homelander one way or the other lol 😂, but now he is creating The Army 🥶
So her weakness is a vantablack painted room? I’m curious if she heals at that level because I’m to really to think if were me having me these powers since birth I would have either played with death or thought of some contingency to keep my circulatory systems intact with my power.
@@1Atlkid don't think she can heal from that 🦂
@@Franklin_Malloy why didnt she try anything as soon as butcher entered the room?
How funny would it be for Ashely to become the hulk… I feel like it would kind of work.
I think Ashley should have a power that is somehow hair based, such as it growing everywhere but she will be able to control it or even others hair
When Homelander learned about soldier Boy’s location, I couldn’t help but wonder when he will learn about Maeve’s.
I NEED Starlight to bring A Train back into the fold in season 5 “Saving A Train” style like they did with the recreating the girls get it done scene😂
I’m calling it now…
Stressing Homelander out rapidly ages him and that’s what’s going to kill him. He’s built to breakdown so Vought doesn’t have to deal with another Soldier Boy or Stormfront.
Also finding out Stormfront is his mom is going to send him over the deep (lol) end.
The virus? Is going to be used to kill Butcher.
Did anyone catch that Ashley was actively hiring people with the same name as her?
O captain, My captain
Concerning Gen V season 2, the actor of Andre actually died prior to the boys 4 so if they didn’t shoot enough scenes with him for s2 Andre might be killed offscreen
Either a failed escape attempt not shown but referenced or they are being experimented on and he didn't survive it.
I joked if they do a Don Cheadle style recast, they could play it as “The experiments change you so much, you don’t look like the same person.”
But I am more leaning Andre’s father Polarity taking on the story arc, a father needing to avenge his son instead of a son coming to grips with his relationship with his father.
Hey Paul..whatever happened to Definition??😅...
Hahaha bro that ashley theory is so stupid 😂😂😂 her head was mutating after she took V, pretty obvious that she’s gonna have some power having to do with her hair
What if the head popper can put her blood back in her body? It’s a stretch but who knows🤷🏾♂️
Season 5 has to be an all out war dystopian human civilization on its last legs being wiped out by supes kind of season.
Ashley is going to be a brainiac superhero!
I think Soldier boy will want to take Ryan because he said Homelander would be better if he brought up him (like he couldn't be father but will be grandfather)
Id _love_ it if he saw what Homelander's becone, knows what he himself is, and decides not to let Ryan get fcked up too. It'd give him his own little redemption arc, and play really well into the themes the show has of generational truama just continuing down the line, and itd be nice to see one of the older generation finally seeing that and stopping it
@@bloodyneptuneTotally! Love this idea.
Somehow firecracker’s breast milk and the virus are gonna play a role in taking out Homelander
Crazy episode!
Ashley 😢
I was expecting this one to have at least one climatic battle
Kinda like Starlight vs the Shifter? 😂
the vicky scene and power reveal was pretty unexpected
@@davidblank420 That one was so disappointing
I was fully expecting A Train Vs Homelander bc of the leaked ep title. But he’s out of there.
@@silversrcA Train can't take on Homelander 1v1
Mate are you gonna check out the last Deadpool and Wolverine trailer?
Or maybe just maybe since Ashley has been pulling her hair out she could use her hair like Sindel does in Mortal Kombat. Idk I thought it would be an interesting take. I could be stretching out that theory but it’s the thoughts that counts
In the next Season just show me how Butcher hunts for supes
man i just thought they lost the plot. this is so off the rails i dont even wanna finish the video let alone watch the series. theres creative liberties and then theres full bastardization
What if the drugs firecracker is taking causes her to become the milk monster
What chapter or comic volume is the season finale. Im in a cliffhanger feels.
Waiting for your deadpool and logan final trailer breakdown. Im tired of refreshing my YT feed man 😢😂
I can't believe they are ending this after only 5 seasons.
Don’t wanna overdo it
@@funkyrumble0455I get that. It's just some of the best entertainment I've found. I love Invincible as well.
@@DavidS.Pumpkin oh trust me I agree, I would love for the show to just keep going but look at how marvel is doing right now after continuing to pump out content no matter how good or bad
Next season gonna be insane
@@DaltonDaDigga right! I can hardly wait.
I’m calling it: Ashley has an ability to information an perception because of how she is…also the virus will become airborne because of homelanders disgust of sickness and weakness although it still won’t be to kill him, just his supe allies
Man, Soldier Boy coming back and JDM being in it and the rumors of Padelecki? Squee city!
Kessler gonna ruin all supes fr even homelander will be terrified in s5 ig
BOOM!!! I CALLED IT!!! When Butcher and Hughie got powers I theorized the powers they got were a result of their subconscious and a very very strong emotion.
This is how I like my breakdowns: funny, detailed and interesting. The others are lightyears away from you, Paul
I hope many major characters go out in s5 go out with a proper bang!
