It just arrived today and this harness is great! After 5-10 minutes of adjusting straps and putting the tether on the camera, I was wearing it and ready to go. It was very comfortable and easy to use. Can't wait to take it out and about.
Great video. But one thing to note is that as long as your camera is magnesium alloy and a metal mount the Sigma won’t damage the camera.
I carried my 150-600mm Sigma on my S5 for 7 hours and had no issues whatsoever handheld. The lens sat on there fine. I’m looking at getting one of these soon and that Sigma in the thumbnail was what made me click.
One of the best invention in Camera world.
I’ve literally just bought it, as I was looking for something like that. It might be heavy but it’s better have your telephoto strapped to your chest than neck. My neck can cope with it but that mount will make a massive difference. 😁😎👊
I actually used it in Alaska and it was way better than a strap around my neck with it. I did have the camera on a strap around my neck though and this lens on the harness, I could just take the small lens off, put the camera on this one right there on my chest and lift it off. Was nice.
Thank you for this video. I was hoping someone reviewed this and you answered all of my questions 🙌🏾
Thanks for the informmation. Very interesting system. I'll try mine out very soon. 👍
thanks for watching! it is pretty cool
Fedex dropped mine off this afternoon and it's adjusted and ready for a hike. The only thing I'm not crazy about, which you mentioned in your video, is how close to your face the camera sits. Did you figure out an adjustment to get it a couple inches further away?
I hadn't used it too much, I did use it when I went on an Alaska cruise and it was helpful on a bear watch excursion. didn't get it adjusted to be lower, but this lens is so long any lower it bang against something else lol
I suppose you could wear in under a jacket , obviously you couldn’t zip the jacket up to the neck unless you have a jacket with a double zip system, maybe !
I need to find a female review - wondering how comfortable with or without a bra! Dont think they always consider the female form.
I kove the CCG 3...HOWEVER, i tried my Nikon D810 w/ my Sigma Contemporary 600mm yesterday. Halfway through the day, the straps that go over the shoulder came loose from the velcro. They will need to sewn in place once fitted. Then you have the piece that mounts to the camera or, in the case of the 600mm, mounts to the lens bracket. The portion that slides in place is VERY thin plastic. I have zero faith that it is last long. I wish they had made it of metal. Do you have a link for the tripod mount? Im a little confused on that part. Once i re-enfore everything, id like to be able to quickly detach the 600 from my chest, and place it on a tripod. Is there a way to do this and still use a gimbal tripod mount?
Is this a decent harness for sports photography?
I think it might be, but depending on the lens you use, this lens was pretty big, I wouldn't go bigger than that. but if need to be ale to not hold it for a bit but have it on the ready to grab and shoot then it woks great! I have a couple links in the description to check out and to order if you want, thanks
Do you Find the camera starts to drift while walking. I use a canon r and a tampon 150-600
Just curious...have you tried this with a backpack? I'm looking at this with an hydration pack.
yes, I dis have this while wearing a camera backpack as well. I was carrying a LOT of gear! this was nice to have for sure!
@@ItstheDaveShow1 Thank you for your answer :)
I guess you were confortable wearing both?
@@chosendave1023 it wasn't too bad really, all this gear was heavy, I brought this big lens and two others, travel tripod and other stuff. but I did use this big lens and camera on the chest harness while on a tour (in Alaska) and was nice to have it handy to get some photos of a bear way out there. all worked really well
Is this comfortable if i wear it with backpack ?
it wasn't bad at all actually. worked well on my last trip with it.
