    Thanks for showcasing this harness! Didn't even know such a thing existed, and it's just what I wanted! Looks great for those of us doing street photography while biking

    purchased brand new ($119 afterthe 25% off) one the other day with the idea and can leave my bag for indoor events... Seems good so far... I like the fact the version I have for mount bracket to the camera has a 1/4' screw-mount so you can attach a quick plate for the tripod. a good explanation for those considering.

      The harness is well worth considering, as it makes that long day juggling cameras and lenses just so more simple, and hassle free.

    Great review! Nice Japanese background theme as well xD I just bought the new G3 Harness with the universal tripod adapter plate so hopefully that works the same as your L bracket work-around.
    Thanks =D

    I am considering the cotton carrier G3 with my new Z9, but, like many, am trying to figure out the best approach for carrying it and the rest of my gear. And the lack of straight out of the box Arca Swiss comparability is a concern. While your work around certainly get your camera in the horizontal position, there is no way that is a stable solution with a Z9 or most but the lightest set ups. Main reason to have an Arca L-bracket is lost with this work around. And I do understand they have a “universal” quick release plate thingy, but that also seems to have a number of significant drawbacks. Anyway, Arca-Swiss comparability aside, seems like a great system.

    I see a lot of these demonstration, but is it safe to mount it from the camera rather then the telephoto lense.

    • @MarkHummerNikonZ9
      @MarkHummerNikonZ9  2 года назад +1

      Yes you can defiantly mount directly to the camera body, providing the lens does not outweigh the camera massively, or you could potentially damage the mount with the stress of a very heavy lens hanging from it. after all that's one reason why the manufacturers recommend very heavy lenses mount via the foot. So a 70-200mm F2.8 or a 400mm F4 prime no problems after that Foot mount is best.

      I purchased the Cotton carrier on eBay as a used purchase. So just look for yourself in the used or cheapest available options in eBay. as for the Tripod it is a Manfotto system. And truly it`s about budget and use case scenario. so simply check out your options and choose what you like and can afford. The details just really doesn`t matter as long as your happy .

    Where did you get the safety starps?

  • @ryanphototech
    @ryanphototech 3 года назад

    a good system however, the harness rides up when taking the camera out especially when taking it out really fast. One should make sure the hub is really on good or the camera will not lift out of the vest locking the camera in

    • @MarkHummerNikonZ9
      @MarkHummerNikonZ9  3 года назад

      Everything you have said is true and valid. However if they made the harness more rigid it would be all heavy and hot to wear like a steady cam vest. Not something enjoyable to wear all day, so it's a unfortunate trade of.

    What size bag would be compatible with those straps on your right side?

    • @MarkHummerNikonZ9
      @MarkHummerNikonZ9  2 года назад

      A Lowepro Adventura SH 160 11 Would be the largest bag to attach. However the same bag as a SH 130 11 would be a better choice.

    Hello again, I need to know where to buy the same safety straps that you use. I have bought a harness for 2 cameras but I don't like the straps they have. If you would be so kind as to answer my question, I would be very grateful. Thanks.
