About All In The Family:
One of the most acclaimed comedy series of all time, All in the Family with Archie Bunker as the irascible, highly opinionated, working-class family man who viewed the world on his terms and his terms only. When not arguing with his liberal son-in-law, "Meathead," Archie took refuge in his long-suffering wife, Edith, who tries her best to understand Archie's conservative ways and outdated beliefs.

"He's the only Meathead ya got." Such sweet loving words!
Archie supported all of them just so they could act so much smarter and better than him, he loved them more than they ever realized.
Gloria also worked while Mike was going to school, but Archie seemed to pay all the bills.
@@themermaidstale5008 Health care was A LOT less expensive back then.
@@tracyrunyan2522 Ha! And the death rate was way up...what's your point?
Food is still food, and most of the time, most people are spending money on food....and toiletries, non stop.
Inflation, distorts reality...these people lived a lot harder lives, than we did.
And every buck Archie earned, was a poor man's dollar.
Not people getting paid, frivolous amounts of money, for doing equally frivolous things.
And 8 hours was 8 hours, not 5 or 6...
Food was still food..*
@@gentlemanfarmer6042 Life expectancy in America has fallen for the first time under the Biden regime. People lived longer in the 1970s
Love this side of Archie one of the greatest shows in tv history. RIP carroll & jean.
There was an episode Archie told Edith he was nothing without her. Think it was his spinoff show. The four actors on this show were like part of "our" family. I remember the headline in a newspaper after Carroll O'Connor died, "Those were the Days". They certainly were.
Boy, Archie is going to pay for the appendix operation. Must’ve been nice living back in the 1970s when a person or a family could afford to pay for their operation by writing a check. Nowadays a visit to the hospital or even the ride in the ambulance puts people in debt forever.
They've canceled medical debt now it gets erased & doesn't show on your records
I vaguely remember getting a ride to a hospital but I um well that's all I remember, yeah.
@@lynnecrisp My point exactly! Then why do they charge so much if, in the end, it ends up getting discharged in a bankruptcy or as a charge-off? Wouldn’t the hospitals rather charge a smaller fee that’s manageable and will get paid instead of charging hundreds of thousands of dollars that will never get paid?
and if I get bit by a hornet and have to go to the emergency room I am going to tell them send the bill to BIDEN at the WHITE HOUSE! He promised free healthcare! Although, we conservatives do NOT want free healthcare because that is socialism, but I cannot even afford health insurance and I have a BA degree- TRUMP NOW! Trump 2024!
It is relevant. My nephews screamed when I said my room and board was 14K and total college bill was 29K. But I had to remind them I was only getting 5 bucks an hour.
Deep down Archie loved Mike and Mike loved Archie.
Deep down they are actors playing/ reading a script. It wasn't even reality TV.
I bet you enjoy telling kids Santa Claus isn't real!
@@Stevesautopartsify 😂🤣 Never having kids but that’s the work of Satan. I believed in Santa until I was 10. Let a kid be a kid.
@@glenngordon2352 😆😆
@@glenngordon2352 great shows though.
Such an awesome show! There will never be another Archie and Edith Bunker.
now that is so true, never be another archie bunker character, carol did some great acting on those shows alright. watching again still,,,,2023
Archie Had A Caring Heart Sometimes!
Archie could be mean and cantankerous at times but he had a big heart.
I watch the show all of the time but i love it when Archie calls mike meat head
I like how Archie says I'll put it on Meatheads tab..hilarious. Great writers
What a bundle of laughs watching this show, was one of my favourites when i was a kid, and can still laugh at it now.....watching from NZ 2023
Me too! I still laugh like it's the first time, this clip gave me a hernia from laughing so hard!! LOL!!
heart of gold!!
Archie can be caring @ times
"The doctor got to it just before it blew up" 😁
Love this episode!!
Thank u for commenting my thing it went along with Archie tuff n real but soft n loving glad u saw what i meant eithout cutting me off
Archie always did the right thing when forced.
He did the right thing of his own volition when he voted for Nixon.
when archie said " he's your... hes the only meathead you got". archie was way too masculine to admit he liked meathead and acknowledged him as his son in law.
Gloria Really Loved Archie She Really Did
Archie Really Did Have a Good Heart Sometimes He did that because he Was Crazy about Gloria Deep Down inside
Archie Loved His Daughter He Really Did
Meat Head Didn't Even Have a Job So how was he going to have insurance
Never really like meat head he didn't show Archie no respect to be living in his house with no job
Yes, Archie did have a big heart . He did care. Especially about his daughter. You notice, Archie never called Gloria by her real name. Always called her little girl. That's because in his eyes, that's the way Archie saw Gloria. She will always be his " little girl".
Meathead- Stop, Ma
Me-Continue, Ma 😆😆😆
Archie has evolved over the years ❤❤❤❤
those were the days....the best of times.....If only we could bring them back.
I dont remember this episode...it looks like i missed a good one.
Archie was an ignorant bigot but he had a big heart. When the chips were down, he always came through.
Most people of that generation didn't finish school. They had to work. People weren't so touchy about being labeled with nicknames like Chink or Pollock. Sticks and stones ....
I remember when i was 12 on my cousins horse farm at Seneca Rocks WV. The mMother eas Shirley tuff business lady but heart of gold. There was a foster girl named Darlene s real piztol. She told he after cussing her out that she was vetting her work done for free n getting paid for it. Everyone said to Shirly send her back n she refused said theres domething. Back there that made her that way n i woth sent her back dhe lobes me only she doesnt know it yet. I talked yo Darlene n told her i first thought dame gill i realized i was wrong. Shirly starts a bank account for al new workers n all monies coming in for them goes into that account and when they leave she gives them the bank book so theyll have a good start. Along with all the other things Shirley provides Darlene sure turned for the best n truly loved her. She turned into one of her best. It was prob 1st time anyone ever showed real love for Darlene
I walked into the break room for a cup of coffee and a coworker made the comment
"I don't feel right"
I replied back...
You're not gay.
It was funny.
2:41 LMAO :D
Poor Mike.
0:10 I though he had to 💩
Don’t wait till adulthood for the apendix removal
Doesn’t Mike have health insurance?
i still cant believe mike left a beautiful lady
I have a 2 girls 1 is 20 and the other is 6 as much as I hate my 20 year olds BF I would pay if it meant saving his life if they didn’t have enough money because he truly is an asshole but if it made her happy you put that behind you and do the right thing if you have the means to do it
3:56, 🤣😂
Sally Struthers was hilarious and a major piece of ass. She really deserved more of a career after this show.
Why didn't they call Dr. Shapiro?
That is so irresponsible of them to not have insurance.
I don't think they sell meathead insurance. 😂
In the 70s, health insurance was about $355/person, and Mike was an unemployed college student. They couldn't afford it at all. Then again, this was a TV show and not real life...
I think the no insurance was for the show. Everyone I knew had insurance.
@@joyceadair3003 I only had insurance in the 70s when I was working and my employer paid for it. That's how it was in those days
Imagine a appendix costing 300 dollars
That's about $2,000 today.
If you're lucky!
