    • @edwardmeyers4466
      @edwardmeyers4466 2 года назад

      What's the back story though?

    • @DundG
      @DundG 2 года назад +2

      @@edwardmeyers4466 Depends. My current build is pretty similiar to the count, though a Breton and way more selfish/evil but as expected good to hide it. I call him the Dictator.
      To roughly tell his backstory he is the second son of a Count. Through manipulation got rid of his older brother to claim the position of Count and declared his brothers insane to render any of his accusation of manipulation ineffective. Then turned himself willingly into an Vampire to rule for eternity and build his dark empire from the shadows.
      But his plans got foiled when the Glenmoril Witches Vampires (an very old and powerfull secret all female vampire faction in Highrock) noticed that some high positions are occupied by Vampires out of their faction. They kidnapped one of the Dictators lakkeys and tortured him to get the information of his leader. Now knowing of the Dictators existence they visited him and made it very clear that they don't accept any rivals in their territory. To not draw any attention to themself by killing a Count they gave him an ultimatum to choose an heir and leave the country forever.
      Despite all his efforts to find a way out through manipulation, like getting information about the whereabouts and size of the organisation to exterminate them, by seducing one of the witches, he failed. So he choose to be proactive. He secretly sold many belongings from his castle and after faking his death by poisoning a double of his, he let a distant family member inheriting his position.
      The Dictator then became a merchant. Pretty identical to the count, except feeding on the townsfolk where he went.
      His goal is to use the unrest in Skyrim to start a new vampire empire once Harkon is dead where he will be its eternal cruel ruler.
      I used Palpatine from Star Wars as inspiratiom for a very evil manipulating build to get some charakterisation.

    My vampire character is pretty badass, and Im highly proud of him. His name is Marus and hes a Nord, and he starts as a vampire courtesy of the live another life mod...
    Marus was born sometime in the 2nd Era. He was infected at the age of 29, and he became a true monster, hunting and feeding upon man and beast a like. He traveled Tamriel for decades, killing and hunting indiscriminately. He was, in many ways, the thing all men feared in the dark.
    One day Marus came upon a group of settlers in skyrim, attempting to found a new town near the northern coast. He feasted heavily on the men and women there in his endless bloodlust... Until he came upon one. She was a young girl, perhaps twelve or so, but in his rage he drained her completely. For decades Marus had become a beast of instinct, but in that moment he remembered again who he was and was realized how monstrous he had become.
    Marus, determined to become at least a semblance of what he once was, resolved to try and do good. Marus then began to train himself. He still fed, but he did so sparingly and learned the powers if alchemy and the ability to create potions capable of satiating himself. He began to fashion himself more as a man, and one capable due to his advanced skills and age of things beyond any mortal man. He began to travel again, but instead of feeding he watched and learned. He became a master in many arts both magical and martial. He learned tactics and philosophy and literature. He founded numerous orders before abandoning them to their own devices. Eventually he came upon a young boy, and speaking to him he discovered a future that would bring glory to the world of man. Tiber Septim was, even from a young age, obviously destined for greatness. Marus saw this and set him upon his path, returning from time to time to advise and guide the young would be emperor.
    Marus would continue to influence and advise others, always being in the shadows. Only now, with Skyrim in true danger, does he see that his influence must no longer be in the background with words and slighr action. He must take up his sword and his power and free the people of his homeland.
    Marus is a spellsword who uses light and heavy armor interchangeably. He also utilizes both alchemy and conjuration.
    He wound follow the volkihar to help himself, as he is still selfish in many ways, but fights against Seranas father because of his will to still remain somewhat good.

    I myself am actually running a similar character to this build, though I am using a bit of destruction (frost and shock) for extra damage (firing spells from both hands until he gets close, then sword and empty hand). I'm also using Ordinator+Path of Sorcery, as well as Vampiric Thirst to add some spice ti the perk trees and vampirism.

    I love this build and I also just got a great idea. I am currently playing your plague mage build. If I combine these two builds with the familier faces mod, I could play the count and my plague mage can be my lore friendly companion. I cannot wait to get home now and try it out.

    So I recently saw your Dragon Priest build. Now most of your builds are the best on youtube, but this one wasn't as great. But I think I've improved it, and maybe you should consider this into a remastered Dragon Priest build
    The Dragonborn is Konarik of Atmora, born during the Merethic Era and was one of the first dragonborns. When the Dragons first came to Tamriel and Atmora, they saw the the potential of Konarik and asked him for his loyalty for great power in return. Konahrik was fascinated by their offer, so he agreed. He became one of the first Dragon Priests of Atmora. Konahrik was reassigned to Skyrim and also became the leader of the other eight priests that went with him.
    However, war broke out in Skyrim and many Nords began to rebel against the dragons. The rebels were about to launch a massive attack on the Labyrithian, so Konarik used a scorched-earth tactic and had his men destroy most of the city while he fled to High Rock. However, he did not inform the other priests or the dragons about his plan, and when Konarik returned to Skyrim, the other priests were waiting.
    The eight priests were furious that Konarik was responsible for the destruction of the Labyrithian and so they stripped away his power, stripped him of his name, and took away and locked up his mask, and erased all understanding of shouts or spells. Just as the Greybeards can bestow the knowledge of shouts to the Dragonborn, the priests can also take it away. Konarik was supposed to be killed by Alduin himself, but he was busy fighting a war. The execution would have to be delayed.
    Konarik then escaped the dragon priests, and fled again, this time to Cyrodill. He was stopped in Bruma by a group of Nord rebels. Among them was Felldir, the Old, who had an Elder Scroll. He had a theory that the Scroll could be used to banish people from time itself, but he never got the chance to test it. But now, he had captured the great dragon priest, Konarik, and he will pay for his crimes. Felldir used the scroll on Konarik to try to banish him. It failed, and Konarik ended up in the 4th era.
    It took time for him to adapt to the new time period, but eventually, after a few years, he became a well-respected blacksmith in Bruma. But he was curious. Konahrik wanted to know more about what happened to the dragon cult and see what remained. He then traveled back to Skyrim where he walked into a stormcloak ambush, and you know what happened. When he saw Alduin for the first time in years, he was at first overwhelmed with joy. But then the started attacking. Alduin was going to finish what he started. Konarik felt betrayed. Alduin not only refused to help him, but he was going to destroy the world, when he was only supposed to rule it. Konahrik was going to enact revenge. He would kill the other eight priests, kill every dragon in sight (except Parthunax; he helped Konarik), and reclaim his power.
    Konarik will use the Atronarch standing stone and use Conjuration, Destruction, Restoration, Smithing, and Heavy Armor. He will wield the Staff of Jyrik Gandurson, the Staff of Magnus, the Staff of Corruption, the Sanguine Rose, and the Wabbajack, cuz y not. He will wear a full set of Ancient Nord Armor, without the helmet, and smith it up as much as possible, and Konahrik, obviously. He will complete the main story-line to kill Alduin out of revenge. He will also gladly wipe out the vampires and side with the Dawnguard. He will also complete the Dragonborn story-line to kill Miraak, because he now hates every dragon priest. Konahrik will also join the College of Winterhold because he believes that they can help him restore his power (the Eye of Magnus was apparently moved to Saarthal after he was banished).
    It was really fun playing with this build. A lot of RPGs say "You create your own story with this game", but I never really believed that stuff until playing with this build. The developers had never intended for someone to role-play as an actual Dragon Priest, but it still works and you experience a whole new perspective with this build.

    I feel the diadem of the savant might work with this build. It's classed as light armor and reduces all spell costs, plus a nice aesthetic since it's kind of a regal build and could be a decently practical addition.

      Depending on how the roleplay for the Count goes though(or rather however you play him), the Count potentially hooks up with Serana.
      So unless Serana is REALLY open to trying new things, not sure the Temptress and the Count would ever concieve a child.
      Provided vampires even CAN concieve in Elder Scrolls lore...

    I'm thinking of a similar build but they're a molag baal devotee, so their one handed weapon is the mace of molag baal, and their armor would be daedric armor with dragon bone weapons (but still sneak and illusion and conjuration restoration type build.) overall it'd be like the champion of molag baal

    love your videos for the different builds. but id like to hear your advice for each character in early game and not just end game/final product. I made a paladin based off your video and im really struggling. keep having to switch to like 1H and healing in the other when there are more than 1 enemy. and even with 1 enemy im still a meat bag where one or two hits kill me. just a thought tho. keep the great videos coming!

    If this build leaves you feeling a little squishy at higher levels, you may want to consider using this outfit with the Diadem Of The Savant. It's very in keep with the aesthetic, taking the model of a Gold Ruby Circlet. Strangely, it counts as both light and heavy armour for the purposes of making a full set. This would allow you to take some more Light Armour perks like Custom Fit and Wind Walker. Plus, the Diadem is really easy to acquire (on a woodcutters block outside Frokis Shack) even at Level 1 and gives you a 5% reduction cost to ALL magicka schools. This is of course very handy for buffing the Counts defence rating and magic use and I'd highly recommend you go for it.
