Dracula is also Vlad the impaler. A scimitar or a nordic carved sword would be appropriate for use as he would have been an accomplished swordsman, and was trained by the Ottomans, so a Kilej (curved sword) works. He was one of the first Europeans to utilize fire arms in battle, and loved to ambush his opponents. Fire based destruction, archery with flame bolts, and sneaking would be usable. Illusion for mind control abilities, familiars for his love of wolves, the children of the night. Bram Stoker wrote a prequel to Dracula where he was taught magic by satan himself. So any daedra is viable. Enchanting and alchemy could be use due to this, and Dracula being fascinated by science in the novels. He would probably love Dwarven stuff. Keening and the dwarven black bow of fate would be on his list due to absorb all attributes. He fits very well in Skyrim, since his name means dragon. Learning as many words of power would be useful and match, along with the main quest, all be it him asserting dominance over the dragons. Kill the blades. The Thalmor matches the Ottomans well enough. He could turn into fog, so maybe wind cloak or frost cloak. I do reccomend the shout that increases attack speed, slow time, the dash shout, if you want to show case vampiric speed. For armor ebony looks great. I think steel plate could work, or what I would choose, Penitus Occulatus for blacked out, and a glitch that allows a circlet to be worn with the helmet. Vampires are also said to spread disease, so any mods that allow disease damage would be nice. A hybrid mod like tainted blood to allow werewolf and vampire at the same time would be excellent, since both are almost indistinguishable in folk lore, and the Strigoi vampire which Dracula would be could shape shift into a wolf.

I feel like the Humanoid Vampire Lord or Vampire Lord Renewed mod would have totally enhanced the aesthetic of this challenge, would Count Dracula take on such a monstrous form to be at full power? I don't think so. Then again this challenge looks vanilla as heck but that's fine.
Yeah, I didn't use any mods just in case people wanted to try it for themselves and for some reason they couldn't access mods, or in the slight chance that mods I may have used may have been removed in future. But I'll probably use mods for future character runs.
Nice idea, just a little note regarding Dawnguard: You can run to Fort Dawnguard as early as Level 1 and start the questline there (though you need to find your way without a questmarker, but i guess that should be no problem), you don't have to wait for Durak to tell you about it. 😉
This was a lot of fun to watch. You are really funny and I loved the theme. So I've def sub'd! For ideas: Why not keep up the creature feature and do a Wolfman run next?
Actually in Van Helsing he does indeed use his hands to throw and beat people up, as well as some other media, I don’t remember if you’re sticking solely with the books, but you should be able to use a sword if that’s the case because he was after all Vlad the Impaler. I’m sure he wouldn’t have lost his skill with blade, in fact he’d be more deadly with it.
Very true, I think in my head I wanted to have something different as you use swords and other melee weapons all the time in skyrim. For lore sake, it doesn't make sense for me not to use a sword as dracula but I wanted to change things up.
Vampiric drain is utterly pathetic…which is a shame. Add to that, until much later you do not have enough Magicka to seriously regain much health with it, a few good thug hits take more health from you than you can leech back. There IS a mod that increases drain a fair bit, but you’ll still need to be down on Adept play to make it sufficiently potent as a weapon. BTW…why BGS made Vampire Lord so butt fugly and in fact also those un-transformed weird face vamps is stupid…Thank goodness for mods. BGS needs to watch “Underworld” to see what lady vamps should be like.
Yeah the vanilla vampire spells are not all that great, you can make them slightly better by making a bunch of fortify dest ,conj, illu, resto potions to increase power and fortify destruction, ect enchantments to reduce cost but then that's 2 more skills to level. There are many mods out there that fix this also, if you choose
I think unarmed combat / normal melee would be okay for a vampire build. I’m sure my homie Dracula can throw the hands. The argument could also be made that since it’s in Skyrim, he could do anything an in game vampire could do.
I would love a mod that puts Ulfric in the Soul Cairn if you soul trap him. And he still asks if we know the way to the mead hall, not knowing his mighty Talos can't defeat a 30 septim soul trap spell tome and a stupid black rock.
See, I thought about this before I started the run and given that dracula can control the weather, he isn't really known for shooting fire or lightning from his hands, and since vampiric drain doesn't level up destruction I didn't think it was worth using other spells in the destruction tree. Illusion I could definitely have used, but aside from calm, muffle, and invisibility, I don't think dracula would have used the other spells, so i didn't see a point in using them either. But you are right. He would technically use those trees as well if he actually was in Skyrim.I also guess you could count vampire's servant as illusion even though it's a power. It would be considered part of the illusion tree if it was a spell. Technically, vampiric drain is a destruction spell, but it also counts as a vampire ability the same as vampires servant, so I just lumped them into a "vampire abilities" category.
Here a short character introduction of Dracula: Dracula, the iconic character from Bram Stoker's novel, is a dark and mysterious figure that has captivated audiences for generations. Dracula is an immortal vampire, known for his hypnotic powers, commanding presence, and insatiable thirst for blood. The legendary vampire, is an enigmatic figure shrouded in darkness and allure. With an aristocratic demeanor and a commanding presence, he embodies both charm and malevolence. His pale skin, piercing eyes, and sharp fangs serve as a chilling reminder of his supernatural origins. Born in Transylvania, Dracula possesses incredible strength and agility, making him a formidable opponent. He possesses the power to transform into various creatures, such as bats or wolves, and can control lesser vampires under his command. Dracula's ability to manipulate the minds of his victims, bending their will to his desires, adds to his dangerous allure. Dracula's insatiable thirst for blood is the driving force behind his existence. He preys upon the innocent, drawing sustenance from their life force to sustain his immortality. However, his dark desires are not without conflict. Dracula struggles with his own torment, torn between his yearning for love and the darkness that consumes him. A master of seduction and manipulation, Dracula uses his charisma and hypnotic powers to ensnare those who cross his path. He is a creature of the night, lurking in the shadows, seeking his next victim with a predatory cunning that knows no bounds. Throughout his existence, Dracula has become synonymous with the embodiment of evil, forever associated with the supernatural and the macabre. His name has become a symbol of fear and fascination, capturing the imaginations of countless storytellers and leaving an indelible mark on popular culture. Whether portrayed as a tragic figure struggling with his monstrous nature or a malevolent force to be vanquished, Dracula remains an iconic character, forever etched into the annals of horror literature and cinema. His enduring legacy continues to inspire and terrify, making him one of the most iconic figures in the realm of the undead.
I’d have gotten the Aetherial Crown for this run. If you wear it while acquiring the Ritual Stone and then get the Lord Stone while still wearing it, it gives you the Lord Stone as your base and stores the Ritual Stone in the crown, therefore you don’t have to wait a full day to use it again as long as you take it off and re-equip it. Doing that as Dracula would feel real awesome and the crown itself would fit the run.
@@mooseychoosey yeah, it made for a fun Necromancer vs Necromancer battle with Potema in my current run. Unfortunately, since she raises her own undead multiple times and the game had to register it, I was forced to kill some of my own troops to progress the fight. Still the most fun battle I’ve ever had in Skyrim.
You should try out the sneak-summon spells build run. Were only your conjured creatures can kill your enemies, and you would have to use sneak skill so enemies won't kill you. You can event start this run immediately in Helgen since bretons have Conjure Familiar from the start.
So many people talking about how you could have used mods for this and not realizing that a challenge build is called that for a reason, it’s a challenge. If you add mods to make it easy, it isn’t a challenge build anymore, it’s *just* a build
in some cases you are right, but if I am still limiting myself to using certain weapons and abilities then that would still technically count as a challenge, also my challenges are meant for fun. They aren't meant to be incredibly hard, just a fun way of playing the game differently. I have used mods for some of my other runs, like cosmetic changes or some gameplay tweaks, just to add a little spice to it.
@@mooseychoosey please don’t think I’m trying to tell people how to play the game, I’m just posting my own personal opinion and, frankly, it doesn’t matter all that much. It *is* just a video game and I’m not gonna be getting angry over it. I loved the video btw!

@@mooseychoosey Yeah I mean stick to whatever your passion is, don't get pigeonholed into Skyrim if it ends up boring you but if you produce videos like this you're gonna get a decent sized following
My last playthrough was a "Skooma addict" playthrough, nothing was too dirty or dastardly just as long as I could get skooma, I even have a camp outside the skooma den so I don't have to leave
Yeah I know, but since the only thing I used that would count as illusion was vampire's servant, I just lumped it into a "vampire ability" category along with vampiric drain, vampire Lord melee and spells.
I've had a few other comments telling me this, I think the problem with Dracula is that he has so many skills that it wouldn't have been limiting my character much at all, so I picked from a pool of things to make things different. But it also allows me to make another Dracula video using other abilities.
Man i started today recording a run to do a video, funny i found your video on the same day ! Good luck on the next video and this one was very funny to watch !
That's hella cool! Did three runs through Skyrim, but never personality based ones. You could try to do a Touhou run with the character Sakuya Izayoi. She's 'a maid' who uses throwing knives and time/space magics (high agility but low power, defense & resistances).Don't know what game would work well with her though...
It's a bug that never got patched. Basically, vampiric drain absorbs health from a target, but it also does actual damage, but when you have Serana as a follower. I'm not 100% sure, but I think it's only for the vampiric drain spell in vampire Lord form.

Dying to Alduin technically ended your quest to beat the game as Dracula. Playing beyond dying in game is cheating.
The comedy has earned you a new subscriber KEKW
Thank you!!!
I wholeheartedly agree, someone down at Bethesda was clearly taking drugs when they came up with these things
Good, good. Now:
*Beat Skyrim as Alucard.*
Alucard from castlevania? and I've added it to the list
Finally a new tuber that I can watch. Good editing BTW.
I'm glad you enjoy the content!!! Always appreciate the support!
I think unarmed combat / normal melee would be okay for a vampire build. I’m sure my homie Dracula can throw the hands. The argument could also be made that since it’s in Skyrim, he could do anything an in game vampire could do.
That's a good point, although when I came up with the rules, I couldn't see dracula, an aristocratic vampire throwing a left hook at his enemies
@@mooseychoosey He just needs some boxing lessons. Folks will call him Dracoola 😎
I laughed so loud at this that I almost woke up my neighbours. XD

I would love a mod that puts Ulfric in the Soul Cairn if you soul trap him. And he still asks if we know the way to the mead hall, not knowing his mighty Talos can't defeat a 30 septim soul trap spell tome and a stupid black rock.
Honestly, if you could soul trap ulfric, I would just go to the soul cairn to point and laugh at him
Dracula uses destruction and Illusion too.
Here a short character introduction of Dracula:
Dracula, the iconic character from Bram Stoker's novel, is a dark and mysterious figure that has captivated audiences for generations.
Great video, you've earned a 369th(?) sub from me. Really like the intro bit and other small explanation parts about dracula. Keep it up!
I'm glad you liked it! Your support is greatly appreciated. There's more to come soon. ;)
Awwww vanilla vampires 😂😂😂
I’d have gotten the Aetherial Crown for this run. If you wear it while acquiring the Ritual Stone and then get the Lord Stone while still wearing it, it gives you the Lord Stone as your base and stores the Ritual Stone in the crown, therefore you don’t have to wait a full day to use it again as long as you take it off and re-equip it. Doing that as Dracula would feel real awesome and the crown itself would fit the run.
I didn't know you could do that!! That's so cool! I'm definitely using that, thanks for the info!
Hmm, a necromancer only run could be interesting. I love that idea
@@mooseychoosey just make sure to allow yourself to use restoration and alteration or you’ll die every 2 minutes.
I will do, thanks for the help!
You should try out the sneak-summon spells build run. Were only your conjured creatures can kill your enemies, and you would have to use sneak skill so enemies won't kill you.
You can event start this run immediately in Helgen since bretons have Conjure Familiar from the start.
that's a good idea, so like a pacifist run?
@@mooseychoosey Yes
You are really good. Keep up the good work.
Thanks, will do!
No worries my dude, everyone is entitled to their opinion, and I love hearing them. One of the best things about skyrim is that you can play it however you want. I appreciate your support!! Your comments mean a lot to me!!!
Vampire lord ! Eh?! Nice!
Awesome. You really made me laugh a few times. Especially about hiring The Three Stooges.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Anh I have to play my old vamp character again - Count Snackula
That's an amazing name for a vampire. XD do it, play more skyrim!
Hey this is actually really good stuff man
Cheers dude!!
@@mooseychoosey Yeah I mean stick to whatever your passion is, don't get pigeonholed into Skyrim if it ends up boring you but if you produce videos like this you're gonna get a decent sized following
I do lots of different games, I just haven't managed to record and upload them yet. XD, but they will come soon
My last playthrough was a "Skooma addict" playthrough, nothing was too dirty or dastardly just as long as I could get skooma, I even have a camp outside the skooma den so I don't have to leave
XD That's hilarious, I'm curious how much skooma you took.
Idk my character was always hopped up on skooma so I couldn't exactly tell you
At least your character had his priorities straight. XD
Illusion is also a Dracula thing
Yeah I know, but since the only thing I used that would count as illusion was vampire's servant, I just lumped it into a "vampire ability" category along with vampiric drain, vampire Lord melee and spells.
This was very entertaining. Gained a like and a subscribe from me
I always appreciate the support!! Thank you so much!!!
Some illusion spells would also be valid, as Dracula can control certain animals like rats and wolves.
Also, clear skies and that thunderstorm shout are also valid, as in the book it seems like Dracula has some degree of control over the weather.
can you beat skyrim has a werewolf?
I'll add it to the list!!
@@mooseychoosey i would love to watch that video!
Loot, steal and sell until $1 million bucks
You could have also use illusion spells as well
I've had a few other comments telling me this, I think the problem with Dracula is that he has so many skills that it wouldn't have been limiting my character much at all, so I picked from a pool of things to make things different. But it also allows me to make another Dracula video using other abilities.
awesome video man!
Glad you liked it!
How do it as count chocula
I did a similar thing with an Alucard castlevania playthrough, except I used sword and shields
That's sounds cool! I might have to give this a go!

Let's see d Dracula in survival mode
If enough people wanna see it, then sure, I can try.
Maybe elden ring or Dark souls? They could be doable.
You can actually start dawnguard at level 1 if you want to. Just head to fort dawnguard and it starts.
Yeah I found that out after uploading the vid. XD
Very cool!
Good run bro
Dracula is Vlad the Impaler a turkish warrior… he uses sword famed to be a strong warrior
A run as Chuck Norris
That's a great idea!!
wait a sec....why does having serana as a follwer lower the damage of the vampiric drain? i had no clue that was even a thing.
It's a bug that never got patched. Basically, vampiric drain absorbs health from a target, but it also does actual damage, but when you have Serana as a follower. The damage gets removed and you only absorb the health, so you'll notice a drastic change in how effective it is. I'm not 100% sure, but I think it's only for the vampiric drain spell in vampire Lord form.
So who says Dracula can't be a cat person.
Not me!! You do you bro
The bit at 2:46 should be made into a mod.
Replace all the greybeards dialogue with Danny G. XD
@@mooseychoosey that would be really funny not gonna lie XD
Fun one!

Beat skyrim as the real thor
I'll have to come up with a way to do it, but sure!! I'll add it to the list.
Why is the vampire drain weaker around serana ?? I never knew this
i posted a reply to another comment asking this, so I'll just copy and paste it here again.

Who started this Skyrim challenge content ?
Well, I've been doing stuff like this for years in my own time, beating skyrim just using fists or beating Fallout 3 without using stimpacks, etc. I don't think people doing challenge runs of their favourite games is a new concept.
Nice concept! Subbed!
Thanks for the sub!
Every time I get vampire abilities/become a vampire, I always forget that I need to feed. So after I've not fed for a long time, I become hated and feared and that's when I realize that I need to feed 💀
Also, Nice vid 😆
I'm glad that there are still plenty of people who play/enjoy Skyrim, even in 2023 xd
To be fair, I only remember because it makes that sound like I've just been jumpscared in a horror film. XD

Why would using the vampire attack not leveling up your destruction perk be annoying? You’re not using destruction spells anyway.
it's just annoying in general to be honest.
Because it is on the destruction tree it just makes sense.

I want to see you do a playthrough of Elder Scroll 6.
When it eventually comes out, I will 100% be doing some challenge runs on Elder Scrolls 6.
Did Isran not force you to get cured?
I'm pretty sure he only does that if you side with the Dawnguard. If you sided with Harkon first, then there's no forced cure.
