    I was a fan of Shad when I first heard this song in 2008.... almost 15 years later and it's still incredible. Shad is SOO underrated

    What i love most about him is the style, he's not typical "i got bitches i got money" rapper, he puts his soul into those rhymes, very meaningful

    To those who think Shad is a "lil rich boy" not someone who "be from the hood"...Realize his parents fled the Rwandan genocide wherein an estimated 500,000 - 1,000,000 Tutsi and moderate Hutu were Killed in a 100 day period.

    People who watches this video, hip hop and mainstream are two different thing, this is hip hop, i am sure that the people who watch this video fell this is hip hop which it is, i say lets stop hating on those who like main stream, how about we kindly correct those who like main stream in that direction, because its in the right thing to do.

    The track that put me on to Shad. Been a fan since 2005 actually when I saw "I Get Down" late one night while watching MuchMusic RapCity back in da good ol days.
    But this track did it for me even more.

      Eziokilla9595 I remember buying it when it first came out even though I didn't know who he was back then I took a chance based on the artwork of the cd and I was pleased I did after hearing it. Brings back memories.

      The entire song is written on one rhyme scheme. Every line rhymes with the double syllable rhyme "ah, ooh" vowels

    b/c i grew up in a small town that sometimes confuses the shit out of me concerning my own ethnicity, i find this song has really pulled me through some of the most difficult times and also some very violent/turbulent times in my life .. thanks for coming back to WLU Shad.... multis 'pon multis.. your words have helped me keep my chin up when i've needed it most...goosebumps

    You honestly can't compare any other artist out there to Shad. He truly is on a whole new level of hip hop or underground rap. Call it what you want. whatever you wish to call it. Just know that this real and no one else out there can compare to the poems that come out of this mans mouth.

    3. Shad is a writer. His intricacies go over people's heads, again and again. This song is more technical than Kendrick's entire career. Shad stuck to a four-syllable rhyme-scheme for two 16-bar-legnth verses.
    4. Flow? Sometimes Kendrick is BRILLIANT, (HiiiPower) and sometimes Kendrick is HORRENDOUS. (Blow My High) Whereas, Shad is always consistent. Is his flow as flashy? No, but it's effortlessly brilliant and he doesn't try stop-and-go like Kendrick does.

    I must confess as a old schooler who grew up on the 80's & 90's hip-hop & rap i said many of times today's rap & r&b fucking sucks. but i made a comment on another video and apparently this youngster said theres plenty of great rappers today.i said who souljah boy, gucci mane,lil b.,flocka waka? he wrote me and told me a few and this was one. I must say this guy shad is a cold ass brother.damn where has this type of music been? i have too go out and look for this shit monday after work.thanks
