I remember Shad performed this at carleton university back in like 2011.. Not a lot of people knew this song but I was vybin harddd. Once he came through with That "brother please, im the biggest fan out of canada since pamela's double d's" I yelled that out that the same time and he pointed me out in the crowd... Still remember that, legit felt special no cap

Went to school with him at Fanshawe; I was in radio school so I had him on the show and had a hour interview with him and ray black and mad mak. It was the highlight of my Fanshawe radio school experience and something I will remember for the rest of my life. He was humble and so cool and beck then he hadn’t blown up yet, but we all knew he would. Been a huge fan ever since.

First time I heard this was back in 2014 in a friend's car while I was super stoned. I remember the melody of this instrumental melting my brain during that time that I just snapped my neck along the beat throughout the track. Then the last verse came in, and the notes were getting higher, I was just getting mindblown at that point.

I saw Shad play outdoors on whistler mountain in BC, and by god, it was the greatest thing i have ever seen...even better than the opener...Arrested Development...and that is an act on its own

When I first discovered Shad about 3-4 years ago, I had no idea he would quickly be one of my favorite MCs of all time. He has the whole package: a rapper's rapper and can still be relatable to anyone. He remains to this day one of my major influences in my own writing style and overall life.

i listen to hip hop from all over, japan,all of america and obviously canada but Shad is the only emcee to truly have that hip hop sound, he has fun with it but still has dope lyrics, nobody else does it like him
when i bought his "old prince" cd, i had never heard of him. but when i read the back of the cd it had a few features with Kamau. and i knew that to have kamau on his album he must be good so i baught the cd expecting at least enjoyable music maybe a 6.5/10. but when i got home and played the album i was blown away. probably the best buy i made so far and im glad i came across the album.

i was at virgin fest this year and i happened to see him on stage, we talked for a bit before the show cuz there were no security and minimal people, i new shad and his live style and by the end of the show i turned around and there were like 400 people there rocking out. besidesthe foo fighters shad was the only artist i saw that was given an encore from the crowd and was actualy aloud to play it!! mad props, he'll blow up with someone like lupe

Shad's got those crazy tongue twister lines. The internal rhyming and the consonance/alliteration is insane. Neither Kanye nor Lupe can't touch em. Plus, I don't see how it is "disrespectful" to say Shad is top 5. That's his opinion. Just like I am allowed to have mine and you are allowed to have yours.
