Nestled in the Garhwal Himalayas, Landour is a small cantonment town in Mussoorie. From pine forests to vintage cottages to cozy bakeries, Landour seems like an old colonial town lost in time. The winding roads, the fresh mountain air and the fact that Landour is in a no-new-construction zone, have made it possible to preserve its old world charm and character for so many decades.
Today let me take you on a Landour Chakkar Walk. In the words of my friend Jamie Alter - "What I miss, in particular, is walking in Landour. From our family home nestled away at one end of Landour to Sister’s Bazaar for a grocery run and chit chat with Anil Prakash, to collecting a coffee to go from Landour Bakehouse, walking around the chakkar to Kellogg’s Church and then the graveyard and Lal Tibba and onwards to Char Dukan and then back. Early morning walks and late afternoon strolls. Those who have done this know the special feeling that is being able to walk through the shadows of oaks and pines and deodars and horse chestnuts, not disturbed by the honking of cars or crowds. "

Landour is my hometown. I was born in Mussoorie and spent 20 years of my life in Landour (College from DIT, Dehradun). I work in Ernst & Young and I can understand your situation.
Born there and now hardly have time to visit my hometown.
The Untravel Show and Landour is combination made in heaven. I have been to Landour from Maharashtra only after seeing your first Landour video.
Since that day, I always cherish and miss the Landour experience. But after seeing this video made me nostalgic and felt like I was literally walking on the serene, calm, peaceful Landour road. Thank you Abhishek 👍

One of the very first videos I remember watching on this channel was the Landour one. This place is truly magical and perhaps brings out the best.
Nature needs to be preserved pristine. We already have too many malls, corporates and residential buildings. Some things need not develop but preservation.This video brings a serene calm and peace. Thank you for this.

What a refreshing movie! Landour and Abhishek share a magical connection. I must say, this one is truly unique, bringing back all the memories of our Landour trip. It was a heavenly experience back then, and thanks to Abhishek, we now have another chance to relive those enchanting memories. From Bethany to the TV tower, those walks along the 8, and the delightful companion dogs - OMG, it's all here!
The misty mornings with bird chirping and just the sound of footsteps - sometimes, it's so rare to experience such calmness. Cinematography and background music have been woven into the film, enhancing the overall experience. I could go on, but I must hit the replay button and watch this video on loop! ❤❤❤❤

Landour is so beautiful because no new construction is allow in this area. Most of the houses here are old and renovated if needed but new construction of house or hotel is not allow. So population is limited.
