Is there any chance that after upgrading using this method microsoft detects that the PC doesn't meet the system requirements and then decide to stop updates in the new installation?
Just want to say thank you. Just updated my 10 pro to 11pro in 30 Min on my main machine and could not be easier. Your directions could not be more straightforward. Anyone on the fence..don't be it works, its simple and straightforward zero stress
The method works. Please note though that getting the systemlocale using cmd/powershell is not exactly accurate as it may show the region you've switched to rather than that of the old iso used for the previous installation, which is the region you should be looking to match in order to keep all your apps & files. The default local can be found in settings // time & language // language & region // windows display language
I don't think this is right. I'm pretty sure my [work] system was built on a en-US ISO and I have reconfigured it to UK. So, my Windows Display Language is UK. If I run: Get-SystemPreferredUILanguage I get "en-US". This might mean that this command actually gets the original ISO preferred language. The UK English (en-GB) ISO's are difficult to obtain as far as I know. I can get them easily from Visual Studio downloads but when I obtain from the former Volume Licensing site, they only provided the en-US. So, lots of companies ended up using en-US stuff everywhere. Even that English International ISO on the public download page doesn't seem like it would be fully tuned to a specific country.
@@mcnaugha I spoke from personal experience. The command was returning the US region as a result & i downloaded a US iso yet in the installation process the option to keep my personal files was greyed out. I then checked the display language & i saw English UK on the list. I remembered then that i selected English UK while clean installing windows before changing it to the US region later on. Since the volume site as you mentioned didn't include a UK iso i tried the international English one & it worked.
This worked perfectly on a older win10 PRO laptop. THANKS so much. And its fairly easy to perform whan you check every step exactly as told / shown in the video.
Thank you so much! I'm not great with computers AT ALL so I had absolutely no clue what to do when I found out my PC wouldn't support Windows 11 since Windows 10 is getting removed. This was super easy to follow even for me!
Flawless tutelage, alas I think my ASUS may be just a tad too old. Followed your directions to the letter but right at the end when clicking on the 'Install' Windows 11 button, I received the same message I got when I did a 'Microsoft PC Health Check' for Windows 11 compatibility. 1: The PC must support TPM 2.0...and 2: The processor isn't supported for this version of Windows. I guess if it doesn't have the hardware there's nothing you can do... Thanks for your assistance otherwise! 🙂
Bro I want to really thank you I am from India I have tried very methods for installing windows 11 it not work but your method work Thank you very very very much bro
The main issue I have with this is associating all .dll files to notepad, if you only need to open the one file then there's no need and could lead to confusion in the future.
is this method not going to delete or remove your files and apps? if not are they still going to work fine? i hope you can enlightened me.. by the way thanks for sharing this video
It works great , the whole process took maybe 15-20 minutes including download -perfect and many thanks . ( problem was Intel 4790K I7 - update didn't want to let me in, and now is everything OK )
very thankful to see this video very easy to follow the steps. i search a lot of video about this problem..but this video is the best ...thank you very much!! from Phillipines
Thanx for that. Works well. I surprized that Microsloth hasn't crippled this method by changing the compatibility file to something else. They seem obsessed by stopping people upgrading perfectly good PCs and helping the PVC manufacturers sell more new PCs.
Ok so let's say the install works. What happens when updates are rolled out? Will those succeed or fail? Do you anticipate any issues with the 24H2 release?
Normal updates still work perfectly fine, but future upgrades ex. from 23H2 to 24H2 will need to be installed manually the same way I show in this video. I would wait for 24H2 to be released for a month or 2 before I install it.
I am trying to upgrade from windows 11 22H2 to Windows 11 24H2 and getting the tpm messages. I followed your method but DID NOT WORK. Still get the tpm and processor message.
This doesn't work on 24H2 but I'm releasing videos in the next few days that do work. ruclips.net/video/48uTLJENU58/видео.htmlsi=0WpYf9tfmAtBsjQx In the meantime, follow that video above, it works for 24H2.
You could just download the ISO and mount it. Bring up Command Prompt as admin. CD to the drive that is the ISO file and then setup /product Server and that will bypass the normal setup checks. I used this option to upgrade my Windows 10 install on Bootcamp. I just uploaded to Windows 11 24H2 this way. No Reg hacks or modifications to the install image files needed.
Its been a week do you facing any crash, error or blue screen error coz i have a unsupported laptop i installed W11 but its crashes all time then i reinstalled W10 pls give your feedback...
once caution !! - If your disk is not GPT Disk , you will not be able to install windows 11 - If you have partition exceed 3 partitions, you will not be able to install windows 11
So I did this, and it was successful... But now my PC is hard shutting down every 20 minutes or so. I don't think it's updates. It happens without warning. Not only that, I have to manually switch back on the PC each time. Is this normal for anyone else?
Your video is a help from the god 🙏🏼😭 Thank you for making this so easy and peaceful. Its because of your video , I have been able to save so much time and the issue have been successfully resolved . All thanks to you and thanku for everything ❤🔥
Does not work. On my side the setup launcher does not start (after a glimpse of a cmd appears with the title : Administrator: get 11 on 'unsupported' PC)
Followed the steps but still get these errors PC MUST SUPPORT TPM 2.0 PC MUST SUPPORT SECURE BOOT PROCESSOR ISN'T SUPPORTED FOR THIS VERSION OF WINDOWS
I don't understand why we're deleting the copied .dll content of the appraiserres then writing over it with a Save with no data? I know it's still on the clipboard, but is this how it removes all of the Windows 11 restrictions?
Thanx for the video. Works great on Win 11 23h2 but fails on Win 11 24h2 preview. Haven't had a change to try the final release on 24h2 but maybe Microsloth have closed this loop whol
FYI My result from 0:59 said "English US" but the download would not keep my files. I downloaded again using "English International" and it then kept all my files and apps.
