Okay, this review was even better than your review of this first movie!
Honestly, this movie is a guilty pleasure of mine. Yes, it is way too over-the-top and cartoony; yes, it screws up a few of the characters; yes, it feels like a drag more than anything, but honestly, it still feels like a step up from the first film. And I still think French Stewart’s performance here is great, along with this movie having the better live-action Dr. Claw.
But speaking of French Stewart, have you ever thought of taking a look at “God, the Devil and Bob”, an actually GOOD project with him in it? If you don’t, that is completely fine, but I thought it would be interesting for you to look at.
Thank you for watching! Funny enough, I never realized French Stewart was in that show. That was one of those shows that passed right by me.
@@AnMaxProductions You know what's weird? In the same year Disney released this movie, they also released "Disney's Extreme Skate Adventure" for the PS2/XBOX/GameCube/GBA. What does that game and this movie have in common? Mc.Donalds product placement. Only in that game, in the main hubworld, there's just a straight up McDonalds building where the mission is to deliver Mc.Donalds products to different NPC's all over the hubworld.
At least the cartooniness in the second Inspector Gadget movie didn’t bother me as much as it is in the first movie, nor was it all in your face and awkward.
Which characters are screw up beside gadget? G2 never existed in the cartoon, Penny was as proactive as in the show; sure Brain doesn't make weird noises but at least the dog is brave and tries to stop thieves; i don't remember seeing him doing that in the first movie.
@@ladypool1404 let me put it this way: the characters who were made for this movie do not work period minus G2, and the characters who were from the show that you listed off got the better end of the stick (and yes, I shamefully admit that Gadget wasn’t too bad here).

Inspector gadget in the last movie: Wanted to help the police and be a hero BUT he was also really horny for Brenda. Even before he became IG, the guy was stalking her with camera's; that's so creepy and NOT what a hero would do 😨
This inspector gadgets: Tries to arrest criminals without Penny's help BUT manage to chase Claw and save his niece after she got captured. He did his best... although Gadget was horny for G2, a girl robot. It's less creepy plus he was jealous that she replaced him in the police. Makes sense for him to watches how she captures thieves, maybe he was learning how to do it properly?
The ninja was also in the cartoon you know.
Oh my. You know what? I just took him as a typical ninja character they put in because... well, ninjas are cool. But yeah, upon further looking into it, you got that right. Egg on my face, but good catch. Thanks!

I always hated the chief in this movie. The firing for the science convention thing was unjustified since it was not in Gadget's control. He even dismissed the control chip that was shown to him. I just feel the bastard needed his pound of flesh.
I'm with you there. It's amazing that the actor somehow was more of a cartoon than the original cartoon. Thanks for checking out the review!
The "Mom" Universe!
You know this is a pretty faithful adaptation of the cartoon in contrast to the first one, right? Of course, there should be flawed physics and sense.
I can tolerate the second Inspector Gadget movie just fine. It has the right actor for Inspector Gadget, Penny is smarter, and it tries to be more like the cartoon as it possibly can. And it ignored the events of the first movie, except for Riverton and the Gadgetmobile. And the cartooniness in the sequel doesn’t bother me like how the first movie is, where they used an abundance of unnecessary goofy ahh sound effects and stupid close up shots. Here in the sequel, its cartooniness is done a little more tastefully.
And the cartoons effects are not in your face unlike the first movie. Gadget doesn't use them all the time; when he was in his room, he didn't say '' Gogo gadget eraser! '' or something; same when he was at the bar. They are less annoying!
