    There's some downloadable diagrams and memory layout PDF on this follow-up video: ruclips.net/video/oWNsQHbHGBc/видео.html

    I had a 1966 Thunderbird with mechanical sequential turn signals. The operation was done in two steps. First there was a cam that acted upon four relays. Three of the relays achieved the sequencing effect and one was a reset so when you turned off the signal, the cam rotated to the start-of-sequence position and stopped. This prevented the signal effect from starting mid-sequence. Next, a second relay bank routed the sequencing signal to the left or right taillight. It wasn’t unusual to have to clean those relays or unstick them. I wanted to design a solid state solution but never did because of the amps involved and the complicated way the hazards used a completely different circuit. Thanks for the neat solution!

      You're welcome! Yeah, it was a fun little project. The digital output still needs high current transistors to drive the actual lights/LEDs though.

    Great material! This reminds me of when I designed a microcontroller driven traffic light for a crossjunction road. That was 15 years ago. I love circuit theory! 😊👍 Teaching discrete maths gives me the opportunity of discussing Logic gates, logical arguments, and combinatorial circuits! 😊👍

      Thanks! Yes, I could imagine using this same technique for a simple traffic light since there are really only four states and those are controlled by a timer. One of the fun things about this is there are so many different ways of approaching the same problem.

    How have you used devices in creative, atypical ways?

      I used a pencil as a concrete anchor for a screw. Oh, and a camper jack to remove a car body from a chassis.

      Check my channel all repurpose and using stuff in a different way from a microwave oven motor i did make a 220v hand crank generator how about that?:)

    I only have 4 address lines on my PROM, can I still make it work by using multiple PROMS?

    • @HouseOfHacks
      @HouseOfHacks  5 лет назад +1

      Hmm, a 16-bit PROM? That seems really small. What's the part number?
      Is it a serial EEPROM? If so, this technique won't work. This requires a standard PROM.

      House of Hacks House of Hacks I figured it out using another method. My PROM is too small for this method to work, the part number is EX034L. Thanks anyways!

    Would you share the schematics?

      Hmm, I don't know if I still have them. I'll have to dig around. Might be a couple days. If I can't find any, I'll draw up a functional diagram. Cheers.

      Just wanted to let you know, I couldn't find schematics but created a block diagram and a couple other supporting documents. There's a new video with the links to the documentation at ruclips.net/video/oWNsQHbHGBc/видео.html
      Hope that helps. Cheers.
