Someone needs to tell Eric that this was all in-engine in real time and not a cgi trailer (I know, I refuse to believe it too) The tech showcase they had was insane
I wish whoever put them react to this, would have put them to also react the bridge cutscene the revealed, wanted to see their reaction to that as well
It is worth considering "in-engine" can be deceptive. Since while it's true and impressive that the game engine was used for this, they only needed to render what was on screen. Same as if it was a CG trailer. For an actual full-scale game you can run around in to do this level of quality for cutscenes? I'd love to see it. If they can pull it off, amazing. But i have doubts.
@@rosenthorn_ The idea here isn't that it's "in-engine" but that it's real-time.For in-engine cutscenes they can throw every type of detail they want in because the scene will have been rendered so not much computing power is necessary anymore, like watching a movie. This however would flow seamlessly from gameplay to cutscene and they can change anything they want in the scene with a simple editor. Think the type of cutscenes R* does with GTA and RDR. When they do it everybody cheers but when it looks this good we suddenly boo?
@@GnarKill20 I didn't boo, i just said it should be taken with a grain of salt. I understand how seamless cutscenes work. But showing off real-time in-engine cutscenes isn't quite as impressive when there is no game for it to seamlessly act with. It's just some really good live rendering. Until i see it look this good and also be seamless, as the claim seems to be, i'll be doubtful.
I believe there actually IS gameplay shown in the trailer, we see combat, traversal, takedowns and finishers in the style of the spiderman games, it's just that it looks so good that it is near indistinguishable from the cinematics
I know Eric has mentioned Kevin Smith and his podcast Fatman Beyond before so he might be interested to hear that Kev's co-host Marc Bernardin was a writer on this game.

so excited for this game. Eric Peyton Reed is the director of the Ant-Man movies and he did an episode of the mandelorian. This guy is khary payton aka the voice of aqualad, and cyborg
The relationship of Captain America and Black Panther is one of my favorite partnerships in all of Comics. Ever since i saw the 2010 BET Black Panther animated Series with Djimon Honsou as the Voice of Tchalla, and the flashback of Captain America meeting Tchalla's Grandfather Azuri as the Black Panther of his time
I feel like games like this are super risky these days. Remember when one of the biggest initial criticisms with the Avengers-game was that all of them looked like worse discount-versions of their MCU-counterparts? Here's hoping that this time, the gameplay will counter those.
I think the problem with cinematic trailers is when they are the first trailer for a new game in a new non-established franchise. There’s nothing to get excited about because not only do I not know what this franchise is, but I don’t know what the gameplay is. When it’s something like this, the cinematic trailer is acceptable because the sheer fact that it is a Captain America/Black Panther game is really exciting regardless of what the gameplay looks like.
@@ThePandaaa there’s a difference between in game engine footage and gameplay. In game engine footage shows what the game is capable of looking like, gameplay shows how the game plays. I realize all this footage comes from the game itself, but it comes from cutscenes, not the moment-to-moment gameplay
Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra A narrative-driven action-adventure game that takes on a WWII-era adventure with an ensemble of four heroes playable at different points in the game.
I wouldn't say it's completely off the table, and if he's not in this one maybe we get a sequel with the 2 human characters replaced with Namor and the original Human Torch.
"Wakanda in Paris" is the most unintentionally funny things I've ever heard Eric say😂 Edit: OK he said "Wakanda n' Parris" n' meaning "and". Doesn't make it less funny that he kinda said "N words in Paris". I'm not calling him racist, it's just a funny coincidence.
Khary Payton being the voice of T’Challa’s grandpa here is such a great decision as well has him being the face.
I hope they make him Azzuri in the MCU too

Bottom line ... exactly 0% of it was actual gameplay. All cutscenes.

"Wakandans in Paris" is my favorite Jay Z & Kanye song.
Man I laughed way too hard at this.
kinda wish U guys reacted to the full panel to see the full depth of how cool this game is
At least the bridge cutscene...Really wanted them to react to that small cutscene
I instantly recognised the voice and face as King Ezekiel, absolutely love that actor!
I’m sorry the Nope popping up when Eric said Peyton Reed made me laugh way harder than it should’ve!

Love the mention of Dead Island cinematic. To this day, no other teaser trailer for a video game beats that for me.

Even though this trailer looked cinematic, it was all shot in game meaning thats how the game itself will look
It will it’s a story trailer these are cutscenes
If you're curious, Peyton Reed is the director the Ant-Man movies

The director of this game is the same from Uncharted 1-3.
All I needed to know to get hyped for this game is that it's being helmed by Amy Hennig, the rest is just gravy on top
It would be cool if you guys reacted to the actual panel segment, they showed off some incredible stuff.
“Black panther, is he the 6 foot cat man?”
Who else would it be
You should watch the tech demo clips too!
I need a live action Khary Payton as Black Panther!!!
Wow. This should be a movie.
That would be fun. Reacting to game cinematics

Their background is so bright in this video, wtf lmao
RICK!!!!!
Shoutout to Peyton Reed lmao
I honestly thought this was a movie especially when watching it in lower qualify 😂
This was announced over a year ago, but they didn't even have a name for it.
I was wondering why the director of Ant-Man would be in this...
Hope its not just a tech demo
unrelated to this, I am once again asking for Eric to play Cyberpunk 2077 2.0 and Phantom Liberty
