- In this video we cut down some dead and crooked old maple trees for firewood. This is normal operation for us when gathering firewood. We use the firewood as a management strategy for the property. Thanks for stopping in! #firewood #uppermichigan #mapletrees
Great job managing your woods.👍 Interesting stuff to watch thanks for sharing. ❤👍😎
Will be fun to see if the mule can load the logs.
He can get creative when it comes to loading the big ones . We'll see.
Never no end to cutting wood.
That's for sure
Thanks for another awesome video my fellow yooper. Keep rocking them out Mike 🙏👍. I know me and my son have to cut up 39 cords of firewood later this year.
Thanks Nicolas. 39 cords is a bunch of wood.
@@Lifeinthe906 Me and my son cut 24 cords. for an older couple every other year. I absolutely love doing it. Good bonding time with my son.
@@nicholasblohowiak29 Absolutely
Well done. Saw was eating for sure. Bonus was the fact that sap was not running. Nothing worse than your saw getting pissed on by a tree. lol.
Thanks Stan. With the winter we've had the sap has Ben running on and off since January! They don't know what to do!!
Hey Mike , those trees look to giving up some nice rounds . Have a great week my friend .👍🏻🇺🇸🪵🍺
Thanks Del. You too my friend.
Nice work bud! Your awesome with a saw👍
Appreciate that Dan.
Mike, If that hole in the one dead maple was any bigger, it could have been your next hunting camp cabin!
Hey John. Yep that was a big hole. Can't believe I missed that one for so long.
Never ran a Jonsered. Never heard anything but good about them though. Looks like you’re getting some good wood out of those old Maples. Take care Mike!👍🏻
Thanks Rod. My grandfather was a Jonsered guy kinda why I started running them. It's been a great saw. Bought it new in 2010
Couple old biggins’ there Mike ., Good job on the saw work 👍👍. Great and safe week ahead you guys.🍺☑️
Thanks Richy.
Hope you can salvage quite a bit of firewood
Hey oldtimer. Yes we got quite a bit of nice firewood from them. And maybe some really nice boards.
👍👍
Nothin like a nasty knotty hard maple. In the woods is best place for some of the pieces
Yep. We usually process everything but there are those few occasions where you leave them for the woods to reclaim.
Great video Mike do a food plot brother
Thanks. Food plot eventually
👋🏻
Hey Eddy
Man that first maple was a ugly ol snag of a tree!!! Looks like the ol johnny red is doin pretty good!!
The old jonsered has been going strong since the day I bought it in 2010. The ugliest trees are the ones we go after!! 🤣
There's alot of wood there. Should get something out of them
Definitely lots of good firewood. Just gotta work around all the junk. Thanks Joey.
@@Lifeinthe906 right. I've been there a few times before. And you're welcome
Hello, I am from China. May I inquire about the price of maple wood❤
We sell our maple for$80 per face cord. Thanks for watching
A productive day in the woods, and you’re not fighting crotch deep snow. That’s a win.
The lack of snow depth sure has been nice.
"Allen Family Firewood " went from 8 to 10k subscribers to over 100k in less than a year. They produce videos almost daily(I suggested they do that) and their content is down to earth and they always entertain. There is absolutely nothing wrong with your videos, but I believe increasing them will bring more sb's for your channel. Try it and see if it works for you...and to add: people like me have nothing else to do but watch videos and jump on and become part of the channel...
Thanks James. I know I need to make more videos.
