  • In this video I have to bore cut a hard leaning maple. I've attempted a bore cut before with less than stellar results. Check this one out and see how I did. #firewood #uppermichigan #husqvarna #jonsered

Those were some ball busters you were putting on that trailer. Be careful with those.... back surgery is no fun at all !!

My brother knows all about the joys of back surgery. Definitely gotta find a better way to load those heavy ones.

That was a good job releasing tension on small tree the second big one you fell was leaning on. Didn't realize how much tension was on little one. You were right spending your time reducing tension, it was made clear when it swung up out of video focus. Well done!!! Good video

Hey Mike. U know whats killing all the maple? I had one in yard die few yrs ago. One year it had only about 1/2 its leaves, next year none. Sucked for firewood. Miles of limb wood and two chunks of trunk had a combined 14 or 15 knots. Oh yeah, it was only about 50 yrs old

Not sure. We have a bunch of small maples that the porcupine have really got to. I doubt any of them will live.

Mike need to go BJarne Butler channel watch how he drop little timber in sec . Why you run your chainsaw backwards in timber? Iiiii iiii little timber like all you need a little wedge and use dog on back of the timber. 😊 8hr day should but 9 to 14 cords at 8’ 6” in length easy with right chainsaw and sharpen right . 😊
