@mrredtreee good question! I actually started my own business about 4 years ago, and about 3 years before that I helped split wood for my family's business. But I really just loved doing it and being outdoors, so when I got enough money saved up I picked up a splitter...so on and so forth..... now I've got 2 splitters, 4 chainsaws,1 skidsteer, 2 work trucks, a trailer...ect. I'm pumping out about 75-100 cords a year. Thanks for watching! 😃
Everything good except, get some leg protection. Your going to slip or trip one day . Apart from the pain and so on you dont earn money when youre not able to work for a while.
@@JacksonFisher-o7x At 16 I was just as confident as you sound to be. I thought I could ride any motor cycle as far and faster than anyone else. At 18 a crippled left wrist cost me my apprentiship as s design draughtsman, did not stop me loving motor cycles though, I was just as confident. Over the years I rode many thousands of miles, even set up my own sales and repair business, sponsored motor cycle racing etc. Had a few accidents along the way, now have a pair of titanium knees, duff left wrist, and a few scrape marks here and there . At 82 I do not ride anymore. Would I do it all again ? Basically yes, wish I could but just might have paid a bit more attention to the possibility of saving myself some of the results of over confidence. Say MIGHT HAVE, easier to look back at ones mistakes than forward to might never happens. Just wear a little simple protection, hands, arms and legs cost money to replace or fix up, not to mention years of pain and discomfort. Stops you earning at a time you need more money too.
@JacksonFisher-o7x yes, bigger saws are actually safer to use then small saws. And all these people say " you gotta have chaps" probably don't run a saw on a daily basis, just watch pretty much any big tree cutting guy on youtube they hardly ever were chaps. Thanks for watching 😁
Nice to see a young man with some work ethics :)
Thank you!
