I was wondering the weight of your bike, the website said NW 231# GW is 297#? Any idea the weight of your bike? Also did you get any paperwork with your bike, title or anything? Thanks, I’m thinking of ordering one, I’m 5.7 and I think this would probably fit me pretty well.
I would think it feels like low 200lbs. I don’t have anything to weight it. With the GW being 297 I think that would be heavier than my KLX 300 and there is no way the Trailmaster weighs more than that bike. I got an manufacturer statement of origin with mine. I think I could have got a title if I paid a fee. I remember a option for that. I think this bike would fit you well. The seat hight is lower and you can adjust the rear shock for more sag to make it even lower if needed. I’m 5’10 and touch flat footed with knees slightly bent
@@RidinWithD-cv5hu Right on! I really appreciate you getting back to me. I know it takes a bit of time to make a video but if you get a chance it would be nice to see a walk around video of the bike and some close ups of the components like the quality of the levers, engine, suspension compared to say your KLX. I bought a Chinese 2 stroke scooter about 20 years ago, I found the build quality of course to be lower then a Yamaha or another Japanese scooter but was pretty decent for being less then half price. I also found the engine was a clone of a Yamaha Jog so I was able to order a big bore kit, big carb and many other parts. I put 5,000 miles on that scooter before I sold it. It was still holding up good. I do all my own maintenance on my bikes so I don’t mine fine tuning. I have a KTM XCW 200 but the TM 31X model ( dual sport model) of this bike seems pretty cool. Did you order yours from Motobuys? Thanks again for making the video and the link to the carb 👍😊
I do my own maintenance as well. I like to keep an eye on everything and I don't like to pay the dealer prices. I was looking at a Chinese scooter bike more like the grom I guess, but then I found a use Navi and wanted to give that a try. I bet the 2 stroke scooter was fun. I did order mine from Motobuys. I will say it was a easy transaction and it shipped rather quick. If I am remembering correctly I think I got it in about a week. Only problem I had was the front rotor and it took a while for Motobuys to send out another one. I will say they did send it out, but I had to make an appointment to speak to some tech before they would send out the rotor, which I didn't like the runaround. I should have a free day next week. I will hopefully get a video out about the TM31 and KLX together. I need to do a KLX review too. I have a couple coming out about the Navi. When I do the video I will post the URL here.
I used a Nibbi Carb. The same size on the bike. 28MM. Some people go up a size but I didn't want to have to replace the air-box. Here is a link to the one I got. amzn.to/3GcWxsy It came with a few jets to choose from. I didn't change the ones that were in the carb. I used the air fuel mix nob and it runs a lot better now than from stock. Before mine was always going dead and wouldn't idle right.
Thanks man.... from all the reviews this is gonna be my next bike. I have ttr225 yamaha and this bike seems a lot like it but way nicer.. carb and chain seems to be all the problems I'm seeing on these bikes. Oh and cheap tires... I'm gonna get the TM31x only because it'll have a better resale value later. Thanks again for the info
Yeah, I need to replace the chain on mine. Your right about the tires too. They are wearing fast compared to my other bikes. I had a CRF 230 and it reminds me a lot of that bike. I wish I would have got the TM31x it would be better to go from trail to trail.
@@RidinWithD-cv5hu finding a near mint 230 crf is on my list also.. I have a 1979 xr250 beater bike but after a spinal injury I can't kick start a bike anymore so e-start on a bike is a must for me. It would be pretty easy to make your Tm31 like the Tm31x. I added a headlight to my TTR no way am i hitting the woods without a headlight ... I'm a honda guy but the Tm31 really impressed me. Made in China isn't really a deal breaker anymore my TTR225 yamaha was made in Japan but the next year up TTR is made in Brazil.. can't beat the price on that Tm31, new name brand bikes have gotten insane on the prices...
Its actually maddening how conceptually sound some of these Chinese bikes are. The Japanese manufacturers will throw 14/17 to 18/21 on 125/140 bikes, but never rim down bigger models. Honda could have discontinued the 150f way sooner by just doing a 230f in 16/19, and the vast majority of riders would have been happier as well.
@@RidinWithD-cv5hu agree on quality improvement, my only concern is parts availability and how rapidly they change the models. These 230 clones should do well as many seem to take aftermarket options for the Japanese bikes.
Yeah the parts thing is a concern. One thing I have found that has helped me. Is the Google search with an image. I’ve been able to find parts that are the same or will work. It’s only been a warped rotor so far but time will tell if I can find others. I’ve seen the 230 engines for 3-400 on the Chinese websites .
Do you have a nibbi carb or the stock carb. I used the stock jets. The difference is the air mixture screw. I was able to get the mix right with the nibbi carb. If you are using the stock carb it has the screw blocked. You can drill out the blocked piece and you will see the screw. Mine runs great after I was able to do that.
@@RidinWithD-cv5hualso I went to a local dirtbike mechanic told them why my electric start isn’t work and making buzzing noises and he said the starter solenoid is bad
It is on the shifter side of the engine. You will see a round area with a large place for a socket. Once you take that off it will drain the oil and you can clean the oil screen
Check out the TM 31's Top speed!

What’s the main difference between the tm31 and the tm33??
I think the tm31 has smaller tires with a 34 inch seat height. The tm33 has the full-size tires with a 37in seat height.

So are both of them the clutch lever
The small lever is the choke.
Do you have a video of adjusting that
No sorry I do not . It should be able to rotate the connector at the leaver and the carb.
Hey what jets should I use I live in Alabama and I have a jet kit what size???

Should went with Kayo
Kayo’s are pricey around here.
