This seemed impossible to me at the beginning, but after about 2 solid hours of grinding this out I was playing it flawlessly at 114! Great tutorial and a fun piece!
Dude. Idk if you’ll see this but man you save my day whether I’m bored, mad, sad or whatever, your vids give me so much to do and help me feel like im getting better. Thank you so much
Haven't played drums since high school over a decade ago. Managed to keep up until the two 5's after the 9. Never was any good at them. I'm pretty amazed at how much my hands remember how to do to be honest. These videos are fun to play along with, man.
Hey man I love how you help us learn these difficult breaks and licks. Could you break down the tenor part to SCV’s 2003 Electric Wheelchair? It would help me out so much
I was told back in the 1990s that they were called "grandmas". I thought the name was fitting, since the accented hand is moving in slow-motion (slow, like an old lady)
They we're first called (Schlitz's) but now they changed it to (poofs) so yeah he got the name right 🎉🎉🎉 l❤ you're videos and as always have a good day and have a good morning🌞🌞🌄🌄

great work, take that forward now!! the seemingly impossible is often not!!!
Honestly I learned that if you take the time and break it down you can really ingrained a lot of neat things
11:11 - “ it’s going to feel like you’re playing faster, because you are “ best part
Hey man your breakdowns really help me out , you should break down “electric wheelchair” by scc
yea I used to love that cadence... and Martian Mambo
I think they’re now ‘poofs’ but the original name of the exercise was ‘Schlitz and giggles’ in the 1996/97 season before going to the South Park name.

i believe schlitz and giggles was a completely different excercise

@@toastedravioli2557love that one
Schlitz n giggles was originally shits and giggles and I believe was initially played in ‘99. Marched in the tenor line that year.
The fact my friend called this simpler than triplet diddle is crazy
Great breakdown man! :) I always love seeing other teachers in action!
thanks bro. keep up your work to and guys reading this check out Karl's content!
@@FreestyleRudiments aww thanks so much :) I need to get back into it haha

I see you dude, glad to help 👍
Those Right Hand Accented Flam Accent thingies feels like the 2:3 polyrhythm, but a flam instead of a double stop.
We should just call them poofs
Lol their called himalayas 😂
@@kamaljones6660 Lol that sounds cooler.
Awesome breakdown. I have been wanting to learn, but aged out more than 20 years ago. This is awesome to play to and learn.

I'm not gonna lie, no tenor stuff planned at the mo BUT poss. in the future.
Love your videos and teaching style!
Thanks so much!

Right there with you! Plus, while playing triplets it helped to say "Grand-Ma" for the accented notes.
The "poof" is a 3 over 2. The timing is a little more open than if it were the same as a drag.
thank you i was so confused especially at the last part till i saw this 👍
Glad it helped!
We need a lesson on the back stick variation

Hey brother! I was told those one handed patterns are called "Hermeolas" i think that's the seeming but i could be a bit off
Cool !! Saludos desde Colombia
¡gracias por ver!
My favourite 👍
could you cover the scv 2021 snare break? ive been wanting to learn it but some of the sections are really hard for me to wrap my head around
which parts? i could help...
That one is really fun to play. When I was learning it I pulled up the learn the beats video with the sheet music and played it in slow motion
Fulcrum Freddie next?
Thanks!
I think of those things being triplet on quiet hand and eighth on bigger hand
So glad to found your channel!!! +1 chilean follower👍(please excuse my spanglish 😂)
Blue stars 21 snare break!!!
Its exactly the same for tenors right?
good name for rudiment: chap digadup
What sticks and what pad are you playing with here? Thanks
Can u do scv 2021 snare break?
We called them “ Grandmas” in highschool
Grandma's is a rudiment... but its this r L r r L
The 9lets and 5lets confuse me so much, not on the rhythm or anything but how you play them with bounce doubles, wrist doubles, or diddles.
Undiddled reverse Grandmas
I think the poofs are a 2:3 polyrhythm
@2:07 there is no name for them, they are three over 2 polyrhythm.
The name of those poofs are a 2:3 polyrhythm.
I am pretty sure those are triplets one the left and 8s on the right
❤
15:39 when he plays the whole thing
But with a flam
