I remember being able to do the casey claw back in high school but that was using an actual snare. The kevlar head really made that motion slip right into place. I find it to be a lot more work than it should be with the resistance of the rubber surface on a pad. Kudos to you for being able to do it!
I had one recommendation for snare breaks. I was wondering if you could do SCV 2021 snare break. I really love it but there are some tricky parts in it that I can’t figure out and was wondering if you could break it down. Thank you for everything you do on the channel. You are amazing!
the way I did it was put a met on with triplet sub division and that helped a lot. Tbh it’s better to not think about it too hard and tense up rather than just go with the flow which I find easier.
That's a string of single-handed flam drags. They are slightly offset so I like to look at the first flam as a pickup and count the groupings off the diddle. Diddle tap flam; diddle tap flam...
He just always delivers
honestly
This is my favorite channel to learn some more music. He makes hard music simple
No joke probably the best drum RUclips out right now lol

The world needs more claw.

Def much easier on a kevlar 👍
I been waiting for this!
You teach in such an effective and easy to understand manner!
Can you do a vid on just the Casey claw? I can’t find any other videos out there it’s driving me crazyyyy
I HAVE to learn this, it's just too fire of a snare break to ignore
One more thing. After the claw they flip their right stick to reposition it to the normal grip.
Awesome lesson!! Can you do Bluecoats 2016 downside up.
literally was trying to learn this today you are a saint 🙏
Perfect timing
for anyone else using an offworld pad, you can practice this on the underside of the pad to avoid hitting the rims

Man I’m a mallet player and I’m having trouble placing that beginning line all as triplets. Gotta learn how eventually! lol

@@BD33323I just ended up making sure the first few beats were triplets and then just went with the flow (in time) lol. Thank you!

Rhythm X 2023 Snare break?
👍🏾👍🏾
Thanks
What sticks are they using now? I know they were using Mac's sticks. Still in use?
tbh I dont know
I don't understand the 3rd beat of the second bar. Is the 'uh' a diddle with an accent? Or is that a typo and is supposed to be a single accent?
