For those that are in the comments wishing for thick hair like this. 😂😂 be careful what you wish for. Detangling is nothing to play with. I have to take breaks. Takes forever to dry. Don’t even think about air drying. People charge you extra for their services and so on.
I was just wishing my hair was that thick, then I thought about wash day and how long it takes me with thin hair, so I was like nah, that's too much. I want the density but I wouldnt want to put in the effort lol.
I used to wash my hair once a month and taking 16-28 hours to detangle it. I eventually gave up and just let my hair loc. Now I can wash it more often and I brush out the locs bimonthly.
jmtw290 same lmao Black is beautiful I’m Mexican and I have no edges, my hair falls out, collarbone length for like 10 years lol. These videos inspire me to get my shit together and simply let my hair grow out. Be patient more then anything. Pamper myself and treat my hair with delicancy. All I want is thicker, healthier, longer hair. One day 🤗
My hair is thick like this as well. I remember when I was relaxed stylists charged me extra for products. Especially the actual cream relaxer. So glad I'm not relaxed anymore. The last time I went to have my hair trimmed the stylist blew it out. The stylist next to her told her in Spanish ( like I didn't understand) she wouldn't want to do my hair. It's just too much. With that being said, I know she's in good hands but personally I don't go to salons anymore. A lot of other people would have been intimidated. Her hair came out gorgeous. Like we all knew it would. 😉
Yes, my life. But, my current stylist ( 4 years and counting) handles my hair with care.. She’s one of the only ones I’ve found and this is why I stick with her..
Story of my life! My hair is so thick that I'm looking forward to menopause so I can lose a good chunk of it. My old hair stylist would need constant smoke breaks because my hair gave her anxiety because it was so much work. A relaxer, blow dry and flat iron took 6+ hours :-(
Going to salons give me anxiety. I know I'm in for a bumpy ride if the stylist has a shocked/scared expression on their face or have the nerve to be surprise that a black (especially natural) has hair that feels like a cloud of softness. At this point, the only place I'm willing to go to for wash, deep conditioner, & blow dry is the beauty college near me. They LOVE natural hair and it's cheaper. I never had a room full of black ppl continuously tell me how beautiful my natural hair is without quickly telling me to relax or straighten it. I leave there with a happy wallet, happy hair, and happy smile.
Mix some castor oil/wheat germ oil via a 1 to 1 ratio (same amount each). Both are extremely fortified with protein. Apply to scalp/hair after every shampooing and daily as needed. The protein will thicken your hair... Allow 2-3 months BUT you will see results within 3-5 weeks, depending on your hair type, etc. Continue use till you die (LOL)! additionally, add more protein to your diet. Look on the web for proteins enriched foods. Hope this helps!

Emilee Gourdet dry time depends on the porosity of the hair. My hair is extremely thick like hers. I usually dry my hair with a old t shirt and wrap it in like a turban.
