It was lethal attack but cell was fast enough only slightly get caught in it. See the ascended saiyan form has energy to match cell, but their bulk form restricted that movement and all that energy is useless if you can't hit your target. The whole point of this attack was to prove ascended saiyans have the power, but at the cost of speed and agility.
Yeah this attack has a multiplier that far exceeds the kamehameha which is weird since SSJ1 Gohans kamehameha should be as strong as a normal attack in his ssj2 form
Trunks powered up more than Vegeta, but he was NOT stronger than Vegeta. Vegeta stopped powering forward because he knew it would slow him down. Trunks showed his inexperience.
The little piano melody that starts off dissonant then settles in after a few seconds when someone is pushing their boundaries is genius. It’s like the back and forth of trying to keep your sanity while powering up. So fucking good.
This episode is very well drawn and, of course, Vegeta's Final Flash attack along with his theme. 🔥🔥🔥 Loved that you guys rewatched that moment of Vegeta's Final Flash I don't blame you guys for that.

There were couple of not so great cuts this episode that haven’t been a problem in the prior episodes; Cell regenerating his arm and torso after the final flash (+ Vegeta’s reaction to it), and Trunks’ hair getting released and the start of that power up after that. Would have loved to see her reaction to both but those scenes were cut out for some reason despite being great possibilities for seeing some reaction. Other than that, great video guys as always!
Chris Sabats voice for Vegeta was peak during this time and especially during the Buu saga. He certainly sounds different in modern times compared to 20 years ago but still good

the thing with vegeta is. and youll notice this throughout the series so its pretty well established fact, "vegeta has THE most ki reserve among all z fighters". not even goku has as big of a ki reserve as vegeta. what i mean that is, if you were to make goku and vegeta and trunks, gohan, picolo, etc to keep shooting continous power ki blasts forever, vegeta can do it for far far longer than the rest of them.

I mean, think about it, would you really feel accomplished beating up a toddler after the best workout of your life? That's probably how Vegeta felt about defeating Semi-Perfect Cell. He just wanted a good challenge is all-he just got a little more than he bargained for.
The only thing people in japan hated was the vegeta doing the final flash but everywhere else people love it. Yah only warriors of heart can understand vegeta's prideful feelings. Even a regular gym goer will understand. At first i always hated how vegeta acted when i was a kid but after taking martial arts now i understand.

Cell's lucky he saw what was coming and was able to move because if he stood completely still then his whole body would've been incinerated by that Final Flash.
Actually this is not the first time Vegeta uses Final Flash, the first time was when he fought Reecom! He didnt mentioned final flash but is exactly the same technique! 😊
