not going to lie. i have so much to say. i got notes (joke) 1. i agree. this floorplan is actually gorgeous i think the great thing of diagonal walls (irl) is they make rooms (esp hallways/octagonal rooms) feel so whimsical 2. i did a little yippee jump for joy (j) when i saw you redo the roof. i think the middle bit was okay tbh but making the gable + turret(?) at the front steeper is SUCH a key way of making victorians and its so dramatic and muah. anyways 3. the back honestly was fine imho. it's your house and i see what you mean about it looking weird but im a realism enjoyer and less is more? like backs of houses are simple and not as nice but they dont have to! slap a whole lot of flowers around and there's other things to look at xD also i personally really like the separate porches i looove separate spaces and they were kinda. romantic and would be good story tools? that probably makes no sense dw im just saying things 4. final point, architecture nerds unite. imo modernism was really important for the development of contemporary architecture culture/design etc, but i kinda. disagree with its premise? like buildings are tools for living but i want to look at beautiful things! i want to see the amount of love a craftsman can carve into a spandrel and maybe im just a maximalist. i like whimsy! and like if i can look at nice things while living why wouldnt i choose to. not a big fan of white cuboid #83. also, i hate open plan living... so maybe I'm biased? also i think you may have misplaced a column on the balcony with the trellis? mb if it's not wrong
no please i LOVE comments like this they are my favorite comments to read !!! 2. yes i think the new roof helped SOO much! i think i might even try and go for more drama with the turret roof tbh? idk!! 3. i agree that its realistic to have simple back, so many houses are like that! ill play around more with the porches and whatnot 4. no i love whimsy too!! i know so much about modernism but would have loved to learn about all diff types of time periods in uni if i just had more time!! i find modernism so fascinating but i am also critical of it like you said. like some of these architects were so holier than thou "my building is pure function" but then they would TOTALLY add stuff that is for aesthetics but then pretend like it was functional. claiming that "the function is that people like the look of it." like what did this man think all the buildings before him were pretty for?? i will double check that column! and thank you again for the comment, i hope my reply made sense lol.
It is actually insane, I found this floorplan a while ago and clicked on this video out of curiosity since the outcome looked similar to it in the thumbnail. What an amazing coincidence that we both found this floorplan especially since there are so many online and this one is so unique and strange lol.
You shouldn’t feel bad for playing The Sims with multiple packs. Enjoy the game your way. As a content creator, sharing your authentic self is key. If someone finds your style inspiring, that's their choice. I know it's tough dealing with the negative aspects of being a Simmer, but don’t let that affect your enjoyment. You’ve wanted to create content for a long time, and it's important to keep it fun for you. I’ve moved from The Sims 2 to The Sims 4, and it’s been overwhelming to find good resources. Your channel has been one of the best because of how you communicate and explain your process. Although I've played The Sims 4 for a while, I’m more of a Sims 2 player. I mainly enjoy creating Sims in CAS, so getting into the gameplay has been jarring. Your content has really helped me navigate this transition.
i could’ve sworn i typed out a reply to this but i suppose i didn’t hit send!! thank you so much for this comment, i really really appreciate it! it’s so good to hear that my videos have been helpful. i think i over think things a little too much :,) a side note that it is so interesting to hear you talk about transition from ts2 to ts4 being hard! esp bc i really want to try out ts2 someday soon!
I literally just finished the "manifesting bands" video and opened your channel to choose another one to watch before i get ready to go work on my own save file. I love your channel so muchhhh
15:35 bb pls don't apologize this video is amazing!!! if left to my own devices i'd watch u build for hours & hours & hours you're amazing love your mind 😭😭😭
So many homes in real life look like boxes from some side and have random windows, so dont be too hard on yourself. Obvi in the sims it looks very awkward at times but nothing a tree cant fix haha
hi!! i've bingewatched your gameplay videos and now i'm enjoying building ones. the only thing i want to say to you - your content is suuuper calm and relaxing, which is helping a lot during my exam session at the moment. thank u so much!
omg my childhood home had that long walkway over the living room and entry! the way my siblings and i used it as a race track, secret spy walkway, runway, etc. was crazy lmao
the way you build is always so impressive to me - im sure ive said it before but you were a big inspiration for me to start really trying with my sims builds :] love the eye you have for turning things into sims builds. also great thumbnail im sure that was super easy to make with absolutely NO struggles!!
I am SO shocked. It’s been some days I see your videos in recs and enjoy them so much and finally decided it’s time to subscribe and WTF I genuinely thought you’d have +70k subscribers ! Your work deserves much more recognition 💗
Depending on the time period you're setting your save in, maybe the family rents out a room or two? Just cause is so big, and they might not use all of it.
I think the back looks fine and pretty, don't worry! I understand sometimes we spend so much time looking at what we build until it turns out ugly, but the whole building looks amazing, I love the diagonals!! Can't wait to see what the interior will look like :D
im not entirely sure if theres a paywall or not but i think felixandre sims has made a few sets that could help add some more victorian detail to the house! i believe there's one called "gothic revival" that has some nice spires and arches and some other beautiful items from their "schwerin" project!! ✨
For diagonal stairs, you can use platforms on the diagonal and then regular stairs going from the platforms, or vice versa Not exactly diagonal stairs but a nice workaround
@@criidawg oh i meant like the way i build- you said you’ve never seen somebody do it like that so i was asking if you meant by starting with a. floor plan
No way! I’m also from pnw and I didn’t know you were, I saw you saying your college town had lots of Victorian houses and it reminded me of Corvallis, idk if you went to osu but that’s what I thought of 😂
Had a similar experience at my job. I had borrowed a marker from Person A but it actually belonged to Person B. Keep in mind, markers get used and borrowed at my job so often. Well Person B was upset that I had left their marker in the work area cuz it got lost in the shuffle. Next day I come in with 2 markers, one for me and one for Per. B. I hand them the marker as an apology and they got bitchy with me cuz “it wasn’t the same marker” and they want their original marker back. I yell back cuz it’s early morning and they’re being a dick for no reason. My manager ended up siding with me because they knew that it takes a lot to get me upset and I’m never the type to yell/argue for no reason. Only argument I’ve ever had t my job for the 3 years I’ve been there and it was over a fucking marker😭
love love love your channel. you're giving me very old youtube... what i loved from lifesimmer etc, when playthroughs were fun and detailed and long!!! i love hearing you talk. whats your zodiac sign lol

rightt i’m obsessed
it looks like a cute little dollhouse to me
i had to hover over the video to see if it was or wasn't sims 3

Not exactly diagonal stairs but a nice workaround
yeah i was gonna play around with that and see!!
