Hi there! I'm the translator who did that interview for KH13!
So, in regards to the missing four questions, I was actually laser focused on trying to understand some of the more major points such as when he talked about his retirement, the fact that KH4 has new writers working on it, how Quadratum was idealized from KH1 and how he keeps a reference book of sorts.
And to avoid the risk of making a mistake, I decided to leave those questions out and then get back to them later, but I ended up not being able to 100% grasp what he was saying, and the last thing I wanted to do with this translation was create another "Nomura was drunk" incident (where an interview with him was infamously mistranslated)!
Translating by yourself has its cons and pros, because you're constantly fighting your own brain to make sure you don't mess up, so I swear this wasn't my intention. 😅

The idea of Kingdom Hearts actually ending is crazy and bittersweet since it’s been such an important part of my life. But I have other favorite media to lean back on just in case and KH will always be in my heart. I really just want to see how Sora’s story ends and I hope I will have the chance to. Whenever the time comes for Nomura-san’s retirement, I wish him well.
Thinking about the complete END of the Kingdom Hearts series makes me cry :(. Like Sarah, I definitely dont want to die before I get to experience the ending of the series, but on the other hand... hyping new kingdom hearts games up is one of the things that keeps me motivated through life. Of course I can manage my life without knewing that a new KH game will come out, but I am truly going to miss this exciting feeling so hard.

KH4 was announced in April 2022, and it's already 2024, going 2025. I'm having my 1st newborn, and not even the latest trailer is nowhere to be seen. Gamers aren't getting any younger SQ.

As someone who’s played all the games multiple times for the past 10-12 years, I’m happy this is more of a reset. It can be a lot keeping up with all the lore. However I do wonder how they’ll handle other characters such as Roxas, Ventus, Aqua, and Lea

So “Setting material collection” is 設定資料集 or SetteiShiryouShuu. usually in practice it means lore book+interview book that is usually also an artbook. Think “Xenogears Perfect Works” for example

I found out about Kingdom Hearts about when Kingdom Hearts III got released thanks to a youtuber and from that point on it's one of the best things that happened in my life and whenverer I play I never feel like Nomura makes up the story along the way (maybe some details but the main "path"n is already been written)

Please Read: Regarding the comment on “Does nomura make up the story as he go?”
I don’t think it’s a simple yes or no because if we analyze what he said he’s saying that he pays attention to the kingdom hearts community and their theories and speculations and that he will add certain elements of those speculations and theories into the coming story. I believe that normura does right out a general direction of where the story is going but there are plenty of other elements in the story that are made up as it goes.

I don't want the series to end but all good things must come to an end. We don't want it dragged out too much. I'm calling it, kh4 in 2025 and kh5 in 2030. Kh5 should wrap up the franchise. Then nomura will retire.

I think kh4 will either come in mid of 2025 or it will come in 2026 as for missing link its either gonna come in the next coming months or in the beginning of 2025
You know i feel really sad to hear that nomura is going to retire and that kh4 might be the end of soras story iam also a bit skeptical about how nomura will reveal things like who is MOM who are the foretellers who is luxu who is yozora who is subject x and what is the past of all these characters how will nomura reveal all of there identities and pasts in one single game also if these are new characters wouldn't it be strange to reveal there identities and then end the story of kingdom hearts there but Iam going to trusts nomura on this so far he hasn't let us down I trust that he knows what's he's doing the plot of kh was always very easy to understand well atleast it was like that for me I love the story of kingdom hearts so much I think it's crazy unique and interesting even tho as i had said before iam a bit skeptical how nomura will wrap up all of this i do feel hope too I feel like things could go even more smoothly this time in terms of story writing since nomura has hired new writers too ehh not that nomura isnt a good story teller himself but its great that he has hired new writers too to make the story understandable for new players and as long as all the mysteries get revealed in a good way and not in a messy and rushed way then iam all good

@@SarahKey well yes, very true but I mean in general from KH2 to 3 lol. Growing up waiting for 3 to come out was painful. When 3 was finally announced I felt like the child in me was finally getting the piece he was missing lol. I’m just generally excited but I’ll patiently wait until we get more news!
@@Cosmic_Espeon it only seems like it took 13 years because we, the fans, naturally expected a "flagship" title to continue the trend. But they never announced it because there was still plenty of titles they needed to make. The fact that KH4 is confirmed at all means it's going to release waaay sooner.
