I think Dave forgot to mention that he had a 1966 Chrysler Newport when he was in high school. A gorgeous turquoise! So his heart was attached to this car before he bought this black one! Great feature!
@@colbycheeze8924 Thankyou Sir. I didn't know about the turquoise one.... that's a beautiful colour on these vehicles! I'm hoping people will continue to write in for this feature... People seem to like it 😎👍🏻
Thankyou Sir for allowing me to share her with the rest of the world! That is one beautiful car you have there that needs to be shown off. Glad you liked the feature 😀👍
At around the 29 minute mark, I decided to put this video in my "repair videos" playlist for when I tackle something similar because seeing what you're doing and your explanation is very helpful. Not sure why I'm seeing it so late, but I'm super glad I caught it. Dave's car is awesome. So are homemade tools that work!
Excellent work there, very entertaining, just proves with a bit of effort and thinking outside the box what can be achieved, plus the more you do, the better you become at it and job satisfaction is very real, everything around you is a potential former for those more awkward shapes, keep up the good work and I look forward to the next episode! 🤠👍
Thanks Bearsey, I appreciate that. I love tinkering with this sort of thing. It's amazing what you can use as a former. The strangest of things can help you out no end. You'll see in another video I have coming out soon what I mean 👍
Julian, you are an artist! I didn't think you could do all that! And to be honest, in the beginning, I was curious if it would turn into that decent of a job... especially using such basic tools as you do! You do deserve some sponsorship! The first Episode of Watcher's Wheels was great. I'm looking forward to having my Dorothy and Vesper featured, even if they aren't as pretty as this stunning Dave's '66 Newport!
Thankyou Eder I appreciate it Sir. I do my best with basic tools to show people that it can be done on a low budget. You don't need all the expensive tools to get the work done, or have much in the way of experience either 😀👍
The die is a great idea! If I can suggest a refinement, imagine routing a channel into the wood block to create a female die….Enjoyed Watchers Wheels - Dave’s got a beautiful, well traveled Newport! Cheers, until next time!
Hey Rick 👍🏻 Yeah I thought about that after I must admit. Just need to find someone with a router or pillar drill to get the groove in the wood for me. I could use my grinder I suppose 😃🤣🤣🤣
Hi George! Just subscribed glad to find your channel. I'm in the UK as well got New yourker 1976. Need some help\ advice from you if possible to start it something strange with ignition. Would you mind if Ask your contact? Kind regards, Stepan
@step8153 Hey Stepan, thankyou for your subscription bud, I appreciate it 🤘🏻😎 You can email me at sortedgeorgegarage @yahoo.com and we can go from there 👍🏻
Dave's '66 Chrysler Newport is a beauty! Pictures are nice but to see it in person is something else! A fine example of a MOPAR in action!
It sure is Beautiful !!! It was a pleasure to have his Newport on the channel 👍

Nice one dude, the var is slowly losing its flintstones look 😂, and what a gorgeous Chrysler Newport. 🤠
Yes it's getting there bud! You're right I think the last time this had a good floor was before Fred Flintstone!! 🤣🤣🤣
