"It's a cozy food". That's exactly how we eat it in our home... during the colder months of the year when we want a cozy meal in the evening.

I think this Italian dish was taken to America from an Italian immigrant. The region of Italy where I am from there is a similar dish whose name is gnocchi Al tegamino. Gnocchi is another type of pasta made from potatoes. Here we cook the gnocchi and then we put the gnocchi pasta with mozzarella cheese until mozzella will melt in a terracotta pot in the oven. It is a dish of Campania region. I hope you can cook or try gnocchi Al tegamino because is a more delicious dish. The Campania region is the region that invented mozzarella cheese, pizza and lasagna.
You have to cut the mozzarella cheese in little pieces. You have to put every portion in the tegamino. Every tegamino just one portion for one people.
They sell gnocchi di patate in the supermarket here. I hope you can find the gnocchi di patate There.

She is the person I would really love to cook for because she exudes so much joy in the food.
I live alone since my husband passed away and cooking for one lacking the excitement of two exploring a variety of recipes.
Sometimes I want to be exuberant about some recipes but then I feel odd so I just try to be thankful. After all life would have no zest if I cooked badly.
    Delicious food is a gift.

No kidding. I had to cook for a lifetime of people, when it's just me I tend to have a very lazy diet. Give me a chance to cook for someone else and I jump at it!

its spaghetti excep with different pasta shape. TTry Taco salad, made with a cheese and cream cheese and or sour cream or cottage cheese, and thenh your ground beef and alsa and everything else you'd find on a taco use it as a dip or pread it right onto of nacho / corn chips.. or even fresh cut home fries... ... almost as good as a Poutine ;) EH

Gotta have a lot of cheese with pasta. It's high in protein so a good energy source. We eat a lot of cheese, it's like white meat lol. It's just preserved milk.
We generally have some bread and a salad with our pasta.

My Italian Aunt Zitzi made the best Italian food. If she didn't have an "i" at the end of her name, I probably wouldn't have tried her dishes.

You should have thrown a couple shakers out there of crushed red pepper flakes and real Parma chz so they got the full treatment.

If the dish was was conceived or invented in America by an Italian immigrant it’s considered Italian American cuisine. And Marco Polo brought pasta back from China to Italy

    • @Whoozerdaddy
      @Whoozerdaddy Месяц назад

@simonasole6871 That's why the producer said, twice, it was *ITALIAN-AMERICAN.*

    •  Месяц назад +2

No, noodles are from China, pasta is from Italy.
We are 300 types of pasta and many many many sauces or pesto different, but the chiese are real Parmigiano Reggiano, Pecorino, Provola or Ricotta, nothing else , maybe, sometimes, mozzarella. On our original pasta dishes

Stop being the little girl wth her hand in the air going, "Oo, oo, I know, I KNOW!!" This is not Facebook, you're not impressing everybody with your mastery of historical minutia that is totally irrelevant, since the comments were ABOUT THE RECIPE.

@@Whoozerdaddy My comment is right because this is the truth . Pasta is one of our italian products . Ketchup is american . No one in Italy would say ketchup is italian , so you cannot say pasta , spaghetti , pizza .... are american . It ' s false
