I’ve been using this product for years. I add it to my water tank and it definitely helps with drying time and keeping the water spots off the car. Especially in the Sun .
The drying aid you are using is a product that beads water. Seems to me a better solution to help prevent water spotting would be a drying agent that sheets water, such as Ver-Tech Bone Dry.
I wanna try this stuff now! I usually use (turtle wax) wax&dry it performs pretty good but it is expensive when I’m doing multiple details on a weekend! Put that stuff on the paint and then use a leaf blower to dry the car…..it def speeds up the drying time and puts a layer of protection on it
Yea you still have to dry it after using this product but using something like this makes the drying process so much easier with a layer of protection instead of just rinsing the car off with just hard water and hoping you can can dry the whole car off super fast without the hard water baking into the cars paint or you forgetting a section of the roof with no protection on it all….at least with the protection on it, it probably lowers your chances of getting spots because it’s not just hard water anymore it has carnauba properties trying to be a barrier somewhat
Hi buddy, I have a large black van and struggle so much with water spots, after watching your video I thought this was the answer to my prayers, only problem is I'm based in the UK and can't buy it. Is there any other products that work the same I can buy in the UK would really appreciate your advice would be a game changer.
I'm struggling with it too. It's the most stressful part of the process because they can't be removed without an acid or a polish. Maybe consider a rinseless wash in a sprayer with distilled water for the wash and dry step. You can still do a foam pre clean first.
Nah, that’s helping to limit water spots, but not eliminating them. I kinda think that sometimes we try so hard to find alternative ways to not have water spots that many of them are either gimmicks or don’t work as well as a real DI tanks. My solution? Worx hydroshot hose to 3-4 gallons of distilled or purified water (3 for my 911, 4 for my truck, MDX or wife’s SUV). Use it as final rinse. Buy it at store for $1 gallon or buy 5 gallon jug and have filled up at dispensers for $29-50 a gallon. You can literally do the final rinse, not touch it and there want be any evidence or water spotting. None.
This is very interesting. I wonder if this is similar technology to Gyeon Wet Coat or any of those other spray/rinse sealant products? I don't think those dissolve water spots that have already dried though, but I have never tried it out to see. I have HORRIBLY hard water where I live so this hack would definitely help me avoid putting water spots all over the vehicle when I try to wash it outside which is difficult because it just dries out so darned fast. Does it strip any waxes or sealants that are already on the vehicle?
Can you add this or formula 4 directly to the wash bucket, so you add it during the touch wash….no extra steps, no extra rinse. Can? Try a video….I saw in another of your videos you added it to the soapy car before rinsing.
I don’t think he’s lying to you. Perhaps look at the product link in his description to see if he’s telling you the truth or if he’s trying to trick you…

sounds like a great option for washing in the sun. Just curious... what is the degreaser you used with the soap to stripwash the paint? Thanks! great info.
Whenever I use formula 4 as a drying agent, after blowing or it semi-drying on surface it always leaves these lines of whatever it is. However it does work to hhelp water bead. Very weird
Mate your in my head. So many detailers are spending thousands on retail prices chemicals. I switched early to bulk all in one chemicals that cost maybe 50c per bottle
Idk… with the videos I’ve seen from ya lately and other detailers we are getting closer and closer and CLOSER to becoming automated car washes 😕.. spraying tire dressing instead of enjoying every second spent applying it.. and now using industrial chemicals instead of fantastically colored/scented detailing dedicated chemicals… blowing entirely instead of enjoying the drying method… idk… just start an automated car washing business at this point man…. I think we are missing the objective of detailing if this is what it’s all going to.
A cheap 4 stage RO/DI kit, a 5 gallon bucket, a cheap booster pump and some cheap tubing. There’s your cheap spot free rinse solution. But hey, keep putting that crap on or bend over for DI resin. 😂.
this product is mediocre at best as far as a hydrophobic spray goes. you can see the water sit flat for a while on the paint... I use the gyeon wet coat, and it's night n day compared to this. Two sprays on a wet panel before rinsing, and the water beads right off.
For trying to build a community and share your knowledge you sure avoid commenters. Being a little more interactive with your audience could go a long ways.
Great video🤜🏻🤛🏻 300-1 is crazy, I’d feel like your not getting enough product or something? Could you do like 200-1 and have a better result? I guess you don’t hear dilution ratios like that often so my brain isn’t trying to accept it🤣😅
I can't believe I went into this video expecting a hack that includes driving through an automatic carwash with open containers to capture the products being sprayed by the industrial machines. I'm serious, that's what I expected here.
Would've liked to see you match Formula 4 wax and this head to head on half sides of the hood.

Hey Wilson it would be really cool if you could make this stuff foam in a foam cannon. Or any soap for that matter.
I mix something like it with the soap in my cannon and it works pretty wel!
Question would you be able to apply a protection after or would you have to do a IPA wipe down before applying

i use wax and dry as well and i pour it into a gallon of distilled water and stretch it that way...and it still performs great
Same here man. Wax and dry, rinse, blow dry, bead maker. My truck always looks great.
Do you think is a good idea to mix this or the Superior formula wax inside of my spray foam gun?

So, it’s like JetDry used in dishwashers?
Does it add gloss
Is Formula 4 wax safe on a car with PPF and Ceramic coating?
Can you add this to a water tank if you have on board water.
