I'm very glad to see people defending Orihime. Throughout my watching of the anime, I'd always see a wave of negativity thrown towards her because she wasn't a flashy fighter like Rukia or Yoruichi, that all she did was scream "Kurosaki-kun" and so on. Not that these two are bad characters, far from it, but Orihime is extremely badass in her own way. She's literally "kill them with kindness" and this was shown perfectly when she healed Lolly and Melony from certain death in the Arrancar arc and those two were TERRIFIED of her even if each one possessed more firepower then her.
People don’t appreciate the fact that kindness can be a weapon. A power source of strength. I will always defend her🤍 because I understand her as a character and kubo helped changed my life in ways through her writing 💕
@strawhatvibe I'm hoping I'm not the only one who thinks this though, I don't like when they draw them with the huge ridiculous boobs because it kinda can take away from the seriousness of their personality, and kinda just makes them a joke and you kinda don't take them as serious and you forget how important the character is, that goes for every ridiculous boob girl. It doesn't work in every anime/Manga, even though I'm not opposed to a real girl like that lol. I just feel like that adds to it.

She’s such a gem and not everyone can appreciate certain things about a character until later in life. It’s a shame that many pass her up due to her positive outlook on life
Thanks. As a ND woman, it was hard to explain to people that pacifism is not passivity. I think it becomes clearer that Orihime is meant to be the Heart of Bleach when you see the Pilot chapter, and how her fathers tears match those of Ulquiorra's markings and that she's so strong, she touches even the most skilled at performing stoic, even if their entire being encompassed that emotional stoicism.
I had to break the 333 Likes because a video dedicated to Orihime being a strong woman character? heck yea! Almost teared up too. Orihime is a beautifully written character that I has a special place in my heart. I grew up watching her unwavering spirit and kindness throughout the series. Her decisions to heal and defend her enemies are certainly perplexing for most to watch. (Possible why there are many who dislike Orihime, bc they cannot comprehend her actions. Allowing herself to be beaten around) This is a characteristic that is barely used for characters in anime/manga (as far as the ones I've watched) Its human to hate our enemy and yet Kubo wrote a character who is so kind and compassionate, and human beyond all things. Orihime is a wonderful character through and through. I think she's the kind of woman I still aspire to be, Kind yet strong in spirit.

Ty for this commentand such kind words🤍 I agree when she heals others that have hurt her it’s hard to understand it. There are different writing style different writers go for their main characters. Different themes and overall exploration in character and portrayal. I don't think every single MC needs a support character if that's what you meant. this just reassured me over all what an angel Rukia is 😍😂 jk. Love Orihime too tbh. If anything we get why her and Ichigo end up together. They´re just humans getting themselves in trouble pertaining a world that was unknown to them. Thing is Ichigo has the necessary power to punch his way out of anything, whilst Orhime, doesn't. At least up until this point. Hence one of the many reasons I´m hyped about the anime.
Hahah no rukia really is an angel we love her around here 🥰 I have a rukia video in the works for early 2025 I’m really excited for it! The fact that they were thrust into such a world that was so unknown to them is even more amazing to me. You can really see the human aspect shine through in such a beautiful way
Orihime is dope, she is what it means to be strong even though she has a pacifist nature. She’s an excellent support for the group, and especially for Ichigo
The original anime creators were so arrogant that they decided to change kubo's story and take away from orihime and spend so much time on ichigo and rukia because of their nonsense need to ship ichigo and rukia. I watched the anime before reading the manga and I was so upset at this when I found that my perception of orihime as a character was sqewed because of the anime. I can't forgive them for that. Ruining a perfect character
You and I both! That’s why after reading it I had to make these videos on her. Justice for Orihime 💕 what they did to her in the anime was unforgivable to me
I'm sad the anime removed so many great moments. A bleach remake would be so damn great. We can only hope after the TYBW arc ends. I'd watch that shit so bad
Me personally, I dont famcy Orihime because of her personality and characterization. Yes, she's strong and brave, and far from useless, but her character isn't what I hold up. Her personality is bright, but it's honestly too bright for me. I personally like poeple who are more down to earth, around me then people who seem to always approach the world with overwhelming kindness. Maybe im just in my emo arc. I've always said taht Orihime, shouldn't be in the forefront on battle and she should be an assist on the side. That's the whole point ofnher powers, and I never expected her to be in combat. She doesn't have the heart for that. Another thing i really rolled my eyes at was her *love* for Ichigo. I nevr thought that she actually loved him. Ot came of more as infatuation in my eyes as shes not even 18 yet. Her trauma and past would make her emotional dependent, especially to her friends but I think it was just unreasonable to say she loved someone at such a young age. After the events of Aizen, was when I was actually warming up to that. But honestly it doesn't even matter, shes a fictional non existent character. Everyone in this series is.
@lolsnez7542 It was just an opinion... You can have yours and I respect that, but please don't randomly target others for their opinion. You don't have to agree with them.
Facts. These mfs are really just degenerates who only like Orihime because of her large bust. I've seen these same mfs thirsting over Orihime in posts that show her in revealing clothes 💀
"its not the weak of body its the weak of spirit" aight ima go fight someone with a gun i have pro spirit fr fr, bro thats just dumb, agreed that she is a corageious character but she relies on plot armor to not get blitzed by grimmjaw or anyone else, she is q good character but unless she can defend herself without help she will be a weakness on the battlefield
The point of it is showing that she doesn’t lack the things she did in the past she doesn’t hold the group back like she felt she did in the past. She developed an attack to literally combat this issue she felt she had. And she shown she can defend herself on the battlefield.
Nah, I disagree. I've read the manga myself, and I still believe Orihime is a poorly written character. She had great potential as a character, and she was a good character up until the end of the Soul Society arc, but afterwords she basically turned into generic 'female' character just like Hinata from Naruto. If you like that, good for you, but she isn't a good written character to me, she's just wasted potential.
@@Kuroshiro_123 That’s fine if you disagree but if you consider someone that deals with trauma from family, PTSD from her brother trying to k!ll her and connecting worlds by bringing humanity to parts of the universe that doesn’t appreciate those since it’s a universe of killing intent then I believe you’re just lost. I don’t think she’s a generic female character she’s shown time and time again she’s way more than that. She’s nowhere near wasted potential.
@strawhatvibe Again, I think she was a good character in the Soul Society arc. It's afterward that she lost most of her potential. If you think someone who's main role is to be a helpless princess is a 'good' written character that's on you mate. Sometimes, I want to see someone that isn't helpless for the whole show and actually accomplish things in the story :) Instead of someone who needs a guy to save them and do everything for them. For me, and many others, she is wasted potential. It's okay to have that humanity element for a character, but when the character doesn't do much in the story? That's a problem, as they are only a cardboard cut out at that point. It's a major issue with Bleach and a lot of shounen anime as a whole. As most time characters that had a lot of potential are given side roles that don't matter to the overall plot nor show character development. It's not just Orihime that has this problem in Bleach, even if she is one. Characters like Chad, Tatsuki, and Ikkaku were all characters with a lot of potential but had that potential wasted. Each one of these characters had compelling ideals that could have been explored and fully developed, but they weren't. The same is true for Orihime imo. If you don't agree? That's fine, we can agree to disagree as people can have different opinions on what makes a good character 😀
@Kuroshiro_123 the thing is Orihime not being a fighter is integral to her character. It's why she was taken out of the Aizen fight by Urahara in the first place. It's not like she is expected to be a strong combatant and failing, it's just not her role to play. Her role is to be the emotional pillar for the series, and she plays that role quite well.
@bevvyjune4753 I would say she doesn't fit the emotional pillar role well either. The most she did was her interaction with Ulquiorra. If anything, characters like Ichigo, Rukia, and Riruka fit the concept better. If you don't agree, that's your opinion. My own opinion is that she doesn't fit that role, and is a wasted character. A character doesn't need to be a fighter to be a good character, they just need to fit a specific role and do well with it. If Orihime was supposed to be the emotional pillar, she failed for me. The closest thing to an emotional pillar would be Rukia, who always helped Ichigo during his darkest times. Another example would be Shinji or Yoruichi who acted as mentor figures and support for Ichigo. Some of my favorite characters within fiction aren't fighters but emotional pillars. But, Orihime fails in that role for me. Maybe if she would have supported Ichigo at his lowest after he lost his powers, I would believe she was the emotional pillar. Maybe if she supported him more overall when he needed it, I would believe it. But again, she didn't do anything like that and thus fails at that role for me.
it's refreshing seeing orihime praise for once lmao, good job

See why can’t people understand what you just wrote? This is why I will always believe we need a remake idc what anyone says. The character portrayal is just as important as fight scenes if not more important when I watch a show
I think Nel, Yoruichi, Unohana, Rukia, and Orihime are all very different examples of strong female characters
^^^ very insightful comment. Strength shouldnt be limited to one aspect. Not everyone also needs to be physically strong or super smart. Some may have strength of character. Orihime embodies that perfectly.
YOU GET IT! THANKYOU
I’m glad that got across to you 🥹
I didn't think I'd cry over an essay video over Orihime but here we are. Thank you.
Hahaha you’re welcome !! I have another one on my page if you haven’t checked that out yet and currently am working on more videos! Hope you’ll be there for them!
Thank you for this video !! I get tired of all the hate thrown at her and seeing videos like these make me happy that people don’t hate her blindly 😊 I never really read the soul society arc in it’s entirety (the rest of bleach yes) so seeing some of these scenes make me want to reread the series completely. I love seeing her grow confident over the course of the series she has a lot of heart and faith :)

orihime is such a sweet lovely character i loved her from the very start, i'm soo glad her character is being praised like this
We love our Princess of BLEACH here🥰
I'm very glad to see people defending Orihime.
It's nice to see her get the acknowledgement she deserves, I love her.❤
Love her with my whole heart ☺️
@strawhatvibe I'm hoping I'm not the only one who thinks this though, I don't like when they draw them with the huge ridiculous boobs because it kinda can take away from the seriousness of their personality, and kinda just makes them a joke and you kinda don't take them as serious and you forget how important the character is, that goes for every ridiculous boob girl. It doesn't work in every anime/Manga, even though I'm not opposed to a real girl like that lol. I just feel like that adds to it.
good take
@@ojok12 I appreciate you!!🩷 ty
@@strawhatvibe Bad take and you shouldn't appreciate it. Stop supporting this trash with these dumb videos. Rukia and Ichigo are a waasy better shipping than that ginger-cow with noodles for brains! They are the perfect match ❤
I may not ship her and Ichigo that much, but Orihime is a delight of a character. From her wild fantasies to weird food combinations to philosophical conversations about the heart, she’s a true gem.
She’s such a gem and not everyone can appreciate certain things about a character until later in life. It’s a shame that many pass her up due to her positive outlook on life
Thanks for explaining this.😁
Glad you enjoyed it☺️
I didn’t even think about the connection of her dad in the pilot chapter and Ulq great catch!!
Orihime has the most powerful ability in all of Bleach. The ability to shout Ichigo's name :')
I mean it is truly op. She called him once and Ichigo one tapped Grimmjow. A powerful ability indeed.
just as the Naruto anime hated Sakura.. the Bleach anime hated Orihime...
Agreed! I heard certain scenes in the anime weren’t in the manga that made Sakura like more annoying than she really was 🙄
I had to break the 333 Likes because a video dedicated to Orihime being a strong woman character?
I’m so glad that I made this video! I think it was meant for you to see and us to have this conversation ! Ty for this commentand such kind words🤍
I agree when she heals others that have hurt her it’s hard to understand it. It makes you frustrated cause you want her to retaliate, but to me not retaliating against someone who has harmed you not only breaks the cycle of pain but also helps you grow as a person. I love her so much and how kubo went about writing her.💕

W video, Orihime is the ultimate support character and what many people tends to forget is that, without strong support the MC would have failed multiple times.
I also hope we get to see more of the Shiten kōshun technique in TYBW
@@sebaredghost9068 THIS!!! Every MC needs a strong support! And even support fight just cause it doesn’t look like punching and kicking that doesn’t mean they aren’t fighting. I want more orihime scenes this arc !🩷
@@strawhatvibe I dunno, I'm sorry.... But I don't agree.
Not evey MC needs a support character.
I don't know if you were generalizing or now, and I'm sorry if I took this the wrong way...
There are different writing style different writers go for their main characters. Different themes and overall exploration in character and portrayal. I don't think every single MC needs a support character if that's what you meant.
I like writing, and yes; most of my characters have friends and allies to fall back on, but occasionally having a character explore their development on their own can be as powerful.
I'm again sorry if I was brash, I just wanted to give my take.
@@Pure_Apathy no you’re totally fine not brash at all. I’m glad you commented and it’s understandable we will all have different opinions. But support characters to me help bring out the personality of the main character and helps me to relate more with them. I was generalizing mainly yes but I tend to enjoy MC’s who have support characters by their sides. (Ichigo, yusuke, luffy,Gintoki etc)
@@strawhatvibe Nah, it's fine and thank you. People absorb media differently. At the end of the day, it's all about how you have fun with it. I love reading people's opinions!
@ exactly! People can’t accept this truth sadly enough. Who is your favorite BLEACH character?
this just reassured me over all what an angel Rukia is 😍😂 jk.
You can really see the human aspect shine through in such a beautiful way
It would be crazy If Orihime pulls out a crazy AOE HEAL in the next episode
Orihime haters would be mad mad
WE NEED THIS! OMG
Orihime is dope, she is what it means to be strong even though she has a pacifist nature. She’s an excellent support for the group, and especially for Ichigo
@@strawhatroy yess she’s not appreciated enough! Without these type of people we wouldn’t get as far as many think
Justice for Orihime 💕 what they did to her in the anime was unforgivable to me
This is why we need an anime remake. The studio really messed upmost of the early sections of Bleach, especially Orihimes characterization.
@@JinxeBlaq I couldn’t agree more
I'm sad the anime removed so many great moments. A bleach remake would be so damn great. We can only hope after the TYBW arc ends. I'd watch that shit so bad
I pray we get a remake we would benefit so much from that
Orihime is a paladin... battle medic
W video
@@renjisuniverse3112 thank you renji !!!!🥹🩷
Ok robot
@lolsnez7542 It was just an opinion... You can have yours and I respect that, but please don't randomly target others for their opinion. You don't have to agree with them.
You could literally replace Orihime with Roxanne from Harem in a Labyrinth and create a better story.
Good job simping, tho.
Facts. These mfs are really just degenerates who only like Orihime because of her large bust. I've seen these same mfs thirsting over Orihime in posts that show her in revealing clothes 💀
This is just as bad as the anime leaving out the ichigos monologue about gaining the power to shatter fate
In a major way!!!
Man make a video on Ichigo and orihime 😂
Hahahha to some degree this and my last one was
@ yes but at some degree not totally 😂
Lmao whatever 😭I will one day you better be there when I do 🤧
@@strawhatvibe I will be there brother🫡
What in the cringe
@@Kuroshiro_123the fact that she did supported ichigo that way and more shows you havent read the manga at all
