I'm a paramedic. What is really missing in your pouch,in my opinion, is a decent packing gauze-preferably a hemostatic one. You could probably fit Celox Z-fold in there without much problem- or if it's too bulky replace your large Israeli with something smaller. I would say that packing gauze(and knowing how to use it) is more important then Israeli bandage as it's a tourniquet's equivalent for catastrophic bleeding wounds that you can't apply tourniquet on. So Tourniquet and packing gauze are for the WORST bleeding(so most important to have/know how to use) , then Israeli gauze is for one level down from that, and then ordinary bandage for minor stuff. When you're shot in the abdomen or so high in the leg that you can't put a tourniquet above the wound Israeli bandage won't save your life-packing gauze will. It's ideal to have all 3 of them.
Michael Peterson you are right. You can't pack chest or stomach- but that's not what I said. At least some abdomen wounds can be packed. Chest seal is only used for pneumothorax- and you should have a decompression needle handy too in such case. Also using chest seal can sometimes create a tension pneumothorax so one needs to know how to check for it and what to do then. All in all I would say that getting an EMT training is a great idea for everybody- and if you have no money/time to do that just get a course book for EMT's and read it. There's lots of them out there- ones from AAOS ,based on Nancy Caroline's "Emergency Care in the streets" are a good choice, but not the only one.

Great review. The Ignitor is a damned good IFAK-style medical pouch.
Working security, I have separate pouches for gloves and mask. I just purchased this recently and likes how it fits on my duty belt and can carry the necessary equipment I need such as CPR mask, gloves, and tourniquet. Thanks for the tips that is what is was looking for

Great setup Aaron, I like the fact they are going to lighter materials. The ripstop nylon looks good, I had the UCR IFAK and it was an awesome med pouch.. I was interested in the Ignitor, but at the time they did not ship to Canada. I'll have to go to their website and see if that has changed... I can't use your hyperlinks Because I don't live in the U.S. But I always like, and share.. Your one of the few that actually say ''This might be good idea for you'' as opposed to '' buy this'' just because
Finally about time I’m glad to see someone who has a gun carry a trauma kit. The only advice I would give is that the pouch should be the most important thing on the front of your belt. Also if the pouch is being used for military application when serving abroad the red cross can make you a target unfortunately. Thanks for the great video 👍

If you're using this for run and gun's you should through in some occlusives or hyfin chest seals and some packing gauze! Stay safe!
I like the Slimness of that, and the Tourniquet pouch, but for My Needs the Vanquest Ifak you showed holds More than I need! I do love those Slick Sticks though.
VAnquest bags are great! Thinking about getting a 4x6 Med bag of theirs to use on my plate carrier. Do you have one and use it as such? Be interesting to see how it actually works on this platfrom.

Thanks Aaron. Helpful Hint Time. Looks like it's narrow enough to place in a Vehicle Center Armrest Console. And since there are a lot more Car Accidents than Shootings, might not be a bad idea to have one in there. After all, you might be the first one on the scene. Or you need it for you if you're in an accident.

it's a good idea to put a TQ inthe IFAK, but don't forget to have 1 directly accessible (from both hands) on yourself...
No fragranced tampon for bullet wounds, bloody noses etc... Is a good addition. Tampons were originally used by the military for bullet wounds and they were called tamps before somdone put a string through it and sold it as a feminine hygiene product so it is a product that has been field tested already.

Those little celox packs are good for small lacerations, but how about some combat gauze or 35-50g granule packs? Chest seals? GSW's are generally to the thoracic cavity so controlling liters of blood loss and sucking chest wounds should be the primary concern. I like the bag though, I might one click that bad boy.
Have to have a chest occlusion bandage. “Chest seal”. Gunshot to the chest you have to stop that pressure from building due to a sucking chest wound. Also packing gauze is a must for junctional areas were that TQ won’t stop hemorrhage.

I just outfittet two of those...I have no clue how the hell you managed to cram an israeli Bandage in there. I know how to pack, I'm a sergeant of the swiss armed forces, but that was literally impossible with a new T3 israeli Bandage

Good review, however, something to think about is not having the "Time" velcro covering the opening for the tourniquet. During an actual emergency, your fine motor skill is not going to be able to pull that velcro strap off. Just food for thought.
That is a good kit but because of the way the kit is, placing it at your back for this kind of kit is useless. Now if you had a kit that ripped off that would be better for putting it behind your back because you could easily detach it. And have all of your medical equipment in front of you. For this IFAK it stays attached to your belt and require more muscle memory and mental memory under stress to remember where everything is at so having one that rips off and that you can have in front of you is far superior. Also, and I hate to be this guy, the way you have the time band on your tourniquet is not necessarily incorrect but the best way to have the time band is pulled off on the side so that you aren’t having to undo it to get the windlass out to use it, also because in high stress, high adrenaline situations, fine motor skills (like having to peel back the time strap with your fingertips) all go out the window. Instead peel the time band off to one side with just a little extra hanging off the edge in between so it’s easier to grab and so it also doesn’t block the windlass opening. Your gonna do what you wanna do but I just wanted to leave my advice/personal opinion. If you use it or not is up to you and won’t hurt my feelings none
Velcro sucks. "Tactical" companies need to stop using it.
Velcro is fine, clips add headaches when under real stress, not just implied stress.
