I thought that you might enjoy the extra publicity Ross. I certainly thought your rig out was pretty smart. Well co-ordinated. See you next time.

Glad you enjoyed it Harry. I enjoyed the chance to get close enough to make it. We get so used to multi-camera TV coverage that it's a fresh challenge to have a go on ones own as an amateur. Thanks again. JMW

Is there anything more intoxicating than the smell of Castrol R in a 2 stroke?

      Nostalgia - pure and simple.

What's the bike at 5:35 with the soul-stirring exhaust sound? It's the bike that launches at 6:14; anyone know which one and what's that exhaust? I thought the sound was coming from the bigger bike in front of it by just how guttural the exhaust sounds. Sounds like an older Ducati perhaps? Many thanks and excellent video.

I'm sorry that I can't add more detail as I had no list of the bikes in that parade. I agree that the engine note was quite distinctive.

Gary Dunlop on a Honda. Initially I thought it was his 2-stroke RS125 but it's not the sound of a smoker and the can is wrong; it's an Akrapovic. I suspected it was his Moto3 bike but the event gave me doubts, unless it's a parade lap.
So I did some digging. Same bike, filmed at the Faugheen 50 - ruclips.net/video/zm-PP5-Zijk/видео.html
Quick search on the Faugheen50 says he's riding a 125, but other events listed. I read elsewhere quoting Moto3 aspirations. Size and sound of the bike, pipe, width of the rear wheel & front rotors make me think it's a 4 stroke Moto3.
      Then I found this - ruclips.net/video/dR8HKFnDOkI/видео.html
Everything about it looks and sounds right. I'm certain it's his Moto3 NSF250.
Incidentally, the bigger bike in front is a Britten V1000, ridden by Kiwi Stephen Briggs.

PS. On the Faugheen vid, you'll see a guy pushing what is def. his Honda 125 bike. Correct pipe on the far side. The bike at the Classic is a Honda NSF250, I'm sure of it.

Thanks for that. Great find. An HRC bike then. Yes, I was puzzled about the size of the bike (narrow tire, small size) vs the sound.
