What a great on board lap. Really good to see Josh's hand on the brake lever through various parts of the course. And the sound is just badbass!! Thanks for uploading.
now this is the way these videos should been music and onboard with one view, not a bunch of different views switching back and fourth every 15 seconds, awesome job
Thanks for this video.. a beautiful evil scream from my childhood with the Norton's.. I keep showing this video to non motorcyclist friends to show them how motorbikes are supposed to be ridden.. respect Brooke's and Shields

They risk their life for the adrenaline and the sport itself; entertaining us is a byproduct. If they were doing it for us- you'd see a lot more crashes and deaths.
GREAT to see Norton coming back so strongly after so little time! The TT is the ultimate road test for any manufacturer. Where's Triumph? Back in the sixties I was the lucky owner of two Matchless 650 G12s. They also did OK in the TT before the Japanese exterminated the British too-complacent mismanaged supremacy. One was always in my workshop receiving TLC and the other in action. One was a 1959 single-tubed frame with 6 volts and a marvellous magneto ignition, and the other a 1962 double-tubed frame with a 12 volt system, coil and contact points. The 1959 model with magneto ignition was always more reliable, but the stiffer double-tubed 1962 frame made for slightly better handling. I once travelled London to Rome in 36 hours, including the Channel crossing, with an average speed of 80 mph on the roads.
That was a real battle of a lap, where you could see the very different properties of the two machines at work on the different aspects of the TT course.
Something went amiss about a third into the lap, it sounded like a cracked exhaust pipe or expansion chamber and it lost some of the mid range. Not quite sure what the 3 red lights were about either, cooling or battery not sure. One of my favorite on bike videos. Great comment.
Josh Brookes, you have a new follower!Absolutely awesome and fearless riding skills, I just know you’re going to be on the podium many times in the future. The part through Sulby straight (9:22-9:33) is insane, although the whole lap is awe inspiring! To think that the world goes crazy for Formula One?? These TT riders have much bigger balls and much more nerve!! Lewis Hamilton and company are inferior to these extraordinary brave men, and woman. The Isle of Man TT is the greatest motorsport event of the year!

Well if you loved WSS and WSBK you would have remember the name that is now racing here lol. All those guy's have the same mindset, to give it all. But you are right that the dangerous lvl of these kind of races are way higher. But i also love to watch those other sports as well
God..dammmm...!!!!! One word for every rider..this is gift..you are born to be this the way you are...in the middle clip I be image like I'm in the warp tunnel...!!!! So horror but excited & impression..
Wow, I love this vlog. Riding along with the driver, so nice! Real hero's there. (I know the circuit from a game, with cars.GT2) Of Course it is a little crazy, I love f1 racing, but the last years to safe. I am not waiting for people to die, I have seen that in the 60's, but there must be a risk. Isle of man, without any room to make an error. Fantastic. Thank you very much. I love this!
Top speed is about 180 mph on these classic racers and they are over 130 mph for most of the course. In a few places they go below 50 mph and the sections between Sulby Bridge and Parliament square is negotiated between 70 and 130 mph which brings the average down a bit from the more open sections. The average speeds have risen from around 100 mph in 1960 to 134 mph in 2018. I think Bob McIntyre (1st 100 mpg lap), Mike Hailwood, Giacomo Agostini, Joey Dunlop, Carl Fogarty, David Jeffries, John Mcguinness and Bruce Anstey were responsible for some of the biggest jumps in average speeds. More recently, Peter Hickman and Michael Dunlop have been pushing it up along with a couple of others. Perhaps 135+ mph average in 2019? Their top speeds have been occasionally over 200 mph for a number of years and reportedly, Bruce Anstey's Honda reached 205 mph a few years ago on Sulby straight. That could be just slightly exaggerated as I'm not sure it was radar measured. Mostly the top speeds are around 190 to 195 mph so they can get better acceleration out of some of the slower corners. The teams experiment with final drive ratios hence the different top speeds, especially in practice. They are looking for that sweet spot that yields the lowest lap times and the highest average speeds. There are no medals for highest top speeds. To put it in perspective, the average speed of Josh Brooks on this Norton is over 1 minute behind the current lap record. Still a fantastic lap to watch on a great sounding machine.
@@droceretik well said dude. And Carl Fogarty must the be greatest legend on a motorbike🙌🏽. Racing in 92 for the WSBK championship and in between on a 750cc Yamaha putting a laprecord of 18:18 and a average of 123.61mph Also Josh Brookes who had a WSS and WSBK history. Hope he will win this year
