    Thank you for this video. My new Babylock Jazz 2 has been giving me fits. I see I can fix it and rethread it properly. Now that I know, I can go sew! It’s on my Cutie frame and they should do well together now.

      Yes.
      And, your pins in a magnetic pin holder magnetizes them as well as your scissors if you store thrm on a magnetic

    not sure how this came up t me today, but hey I'm glad I watched as it doesn't much matter what brand of machine one has maintenance is very important. What I did learn anew is to rub my screwdriver with a magnet. I have a brother travel machine that has been in the closet for a year or better, because it was a thrift store buy and has never worked very smooth, but I didn't want to spend $$$ to have it serviced professionally, guess who's going to take that little girl for a looksee. Thanks

    I have two questions would having the thread wrapped around make a difference in tension? And does taking off the cover invalidate the warranty? I have a Babylock soprano and have found it annoying with tension problems. It’s only eight months old.

      I Harte baby lock presto II, I cannot tell you how helpful this was the main thing that helped me was a pair of little tiny tweezers that my husband used to take my laptop apart, use our computer tweezers by Kaisi. I pulled out a pile of thread that is just embarrassing I couldn’t even unwind it with the wheel going away for me I had to pull out every little piece. But super helpful thank you!

  • @ellenhofer3343
    @ellenhofer3343 2 года назад

    The Baby Lock manuals eogh all my machines clearly state not to start taking your machine apart because if something goes wrong, your warranty id voided because you messed eith it yourself.

  • @scrapsandcats

    I'm sorry but telling people to remove the cover isn't a great idea.and, eorse advising them to use 2 drops of oil goes againt everything Baby Lock advises its customers to do.
    We are warned time and again not to do open the nachine for any reason.
    And, especially not to try to oil it ourselves.
    1 or 2 drops to you means make sure its really oiled to many people. If 1 drop is good, 10 drops will really get the oil in the machibe.

      Hi there, this level of at-home maintenance is fine, as long as you follow the instructions. If you're worried about messing with your machine, there's nothing wrong with playing it safe and consulting a retailer for help. :) Happy sewing.
