Thank you so very much Doug!!!! You have saved my day from taking Crescendo in and paying for this correction.. The video was wonderful and I appreciate you, your calm manner, expertise and helpfulness!!!
OMG!!!! I Googled "handwheel hard to move...thread disappeared!!" from my BabyLock Joy while i was sewing and a miracle happened, Doug!! I found your RUclips video on this exact problem...your clear and simple instructions on how to fix this is what i did and after putting away my tweezers, oil can etc!!LOL My Joy is running again smoothly!! Thank you so much! It saved me a trip to Auburn to my trusty sewing machine fixer!! also a great guy! Thanks again!
Thank you for this video. My new Babylock Jazz 2 has been giving me fits. I see I can fix it and rethread it properly. Now that I know, I can go sew! It’s on my Cutie frame and they should do well together now.
not sure how this came up t me today, but hey I'm glad I watched as it doesn't much matter what brand of machine one has maintenance is very important. What I did learn anew is to rub my screwdriver with a magnet. I have a brother travel machine that has been in the closet for a year or better, because it was a thrift store buy and has never worked very smooth, but I didn't want to spend $$$ to have it serviced professionally, guess who's going to take that little girl for a looksee. Thanks
I have two questions would having the thread wrapped around make a difference in tension? And does taking off the cover invalidate the warranty? I have a Babylock soprano and have found it annoying with tension problems. It’s only eight months old.
I Harte baby lock presto II, I cannot tell you how helpful this was the main thing that helped me was a pair of little tiny tweezers that my husband used to take my laptop apart, use our computer tweezers by Kaisi. I pulled out a pile of thread that is just embarrassing I couldn’t even unwind it with the wheel going away for me I had to pull out every little piece. But super helpful thank you!
The Baby Lock manuals eogh all my machines clearly state not to start taking your machine apart because if something goes wrong, your warranty id voided because you messed eith it yourself.
I'm sorry but telling people to remove the cover isn't a great idea.and, eorse advising them to use 2 drops of oil goes againt everything Baby Lock advises its customers to do. We are warned time and again not to do open the nachine for any reason. And, especially not to try to oil it ourselves. 1 or 2 drops to you means make sure its really oiled to many people. If 1 drop is good, 10 drops will really get the oil in the machibe.
Hi there, this level of at-home maintenance is fine, as long as you follow the instructions. If you're worried about messing with your machine, there's nothing wrong with playing it safe and consulting a retailer for help. :) Happy sewing.

We have 3 Baby Locks and you are always a source of good information.
A Happy New Year to you.
Thank you so much! Clear and informative.
I didn’t know that was how you could magnetize the tip of a screwdriver. Good to know! Thank you
Yes.
And, your pins in a magnetic pin holder magnetizes them as well as your scissors if you store thrm on a magnetic
Thank you so much for this. I fudnt know sbout teverdin go handwheel. I have removed stuck thread with great difficulty and it took ages ❤

Very informative! Thank you for making it understandable.
Thank you. Great video. I understood everything. I’m deaf, but I could see what you were doing and most of time read your lips.
Incase it helps, do you know you can do Closed Captioning for free on You Tube?
I use it all of the time, but in demo, usually words cover up the actual demo.
Thank you for the great information it will help me out later on
thanks Doug
Great job! Thanks Doug.

Thank you! Could I do this with the Solaris too?
Hi Kim, we recommend having your Baby Lock Technician take care of the Solaris.
@@babylocksewing Thank you for the reply. Wishful thinking I guess... LOL
THANK YOU !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Does this apply to combo machines like the Altair (computerized) - the oil I mean.
Thanks for your question. It is similar, but the cover removal is slightly different.
can you show repairing the thread cutter?
we can pass this request to the team!

Having that problem with my babylock melody. Help please
My thread wrapped around the lever on the right side from a shelf above the machine. I don’t know how to get it popped off to remove it.
What if you can't see the thread tail anymore?
Some of the thread is stuck inside and I cannot take it out. Any advice? I tried removing as much as I could but I feel I only made things worse

At least with that machine you can get to it! I can't get to it on my ellegante 😢
Yes, our newer models have been optimized to make processes easier. Feel free to connect with a retailer for help or to discuss trade in options!
