Hey could you explain your tv and media cabinet setup? Is the TV on feet that are on two separate boxes so the middle is open? And your center is standalone on a stand but has an angle of some sort? and how do you get ventilation to the gear in the boxes? I might be looking at a similar solution, it would save not mounting a tv and better ear/eye level
Sure, $, $$, $$$$$, $$$$$$$$, $$$$$$$$, $$$$$$$$, $$ Translation, Apple TV, PS5, 3x Buckeye amps, K-scape, Storm ISP Core 16, Savant control system, and a LOT of cables.
Really impressed, what a setup! I would love to know how it sounds with music content, there is lot of absorption, it seems focused on HT. I d love to see REW measurements, especially in time domain.
Yes it's focused on HT and gaming. TV is surprisingly good too. Music would require different speaker placement and seating distances, but even as is, it sounds waaaaay better than anything I achieved in the main living room. I gave up because the wife demanded too much compromise.
@@ThatHomeTheaterDudereally, why? Ascendo seems to be all the rage these days within the HT community. Is the hype finally dying down? The Perlisten hype has certainly died down as well. Either way, a ton of great options out there atm. Looking forward to see what you went with as replacement - hopefully not RBH. Lol
Why are the rear subs on stands ? And i guess this is part of the next step, how are all the subs alligned with each other ? Really nice setup. Maybe you would really love a 150 inch AT screen ^w^.
@@ThatHomeTheaterDude Did you do a comparison? Could you describe in as much detail as possible what you heard as the differences? I purchased two Perlisten D215s and could consider buying two more, but I would like to know the differences.
Heeeeey stacking the subs changed the game again. It was just overtly violent. Concrete slab shaking like a suspended wooden floor. Post calibration everything is nice and tight and scary when it needs to be. Detail is still there in the infrasonics...just more...seems like much more than a 6db improvement. Hope that helps!
That stack of sub like HOLY SH*T! Those subs don't look nearly as big in picture as they look IRL or in video. They are huge and stacking two makes them look even more huge. I guess the bass is covered in this room, lol. Also the room itself look really nice. It's clean but with some features like the ceiling and beams and visible wood. Really nice. Also showing the gear is really nice too. Most dedicated theaters usually hide the equipment but I think spending huge amount of money and then hide the stuff is a waste. If I would nit pick the only thing missing is a big 2.35:1 screen.
My man. Yes D215s are particularly dense considering the dimensions. I'm finally happy with the look of the room as well, though I'm surprisingly happy with the image size @viewing distance. But yes I've always enjoyed seeing my speakers, even the used Klipsch gear back in the day.
Broooo you should have been there when ThatHomeTheaterDude stopped by to demo some equipment on my system. He had that screen looking supa-dupa wet. The 3D-dimensionality was outstanding. Hopefully he'll make a video about it.
@@theluvofaudio148 I like projectors but the tech needs a big upgrade when it comes to HDR, brightness and latency. If you are using your home theater for more than just movies, a TV is better.

I respect perlisen but not this overdone setup. With single couch it’s absolute nonsense with amount of subs in there - absolute waste of money. He should’ve bought proper seating.
@@doyleshafer I mean I’ve been there had too many subs - I know it’s very easy to get there :). Quality over quantity - you have both. But definitely would recommend to get some nice reclining sofa or armchairs. One question: since it’s not living room and installation would be dead easy did it cross your mind to go with in wall speakers? It would be probably cheaper and better sounding mainly because of a thing called infinite baffle (your wall) - no reflections off the wall behind the speakers - more space, more flexible positioning (height wise)? Something like KEF CI3160rlm - considering close distance don’t think there is any need for ci5160rlm.
@@whitecrowuk575nonsense. You can never have too much headroom. I bet you with every subwoofer added to the room his performance has increased - I guarantee you it has. Also, in wall is always a compromise, always!🤦♂️
@@brucecarter6205 you have no clue my friend. Extra subwoofers don’t add to output unless stacked. It gives you uniformity across all sitting spaces. Having a sofa or couch you can handle with two subs easy. Perlistej subs have massive output and I don’t quite see a reason to stack those. I would bet with 2 max 3 subs he would have same outcome. Just needs to play a bit and compare.
What?! Do some research and quit spreading misinformation. Colocating/stacking will add 6db if they are placed within about 1/4 wavelength and minimum 3db when beyond. This goes for each doubling of subs, from 1 to 2, 2 to 4, and so on. The additional headroom means that the subs don’t have to work as hard, and this leads to less distortion and cleaner output. Spreading them around the room not only gives the added benefit of more overall output, but also helps to even out room response. Edit: the above is assuming same sub and same power. If you are mixing subwoofers with varying capabilities, this will also factor into the final result.
1:47 "she said great, I don't have to hear it"..........with the 'subbery' in that room, the wife is lucky the room treatment worked out.💀💀 A professional calibration expert might ask him to get rid of the subs at the back and get 4 more Perlisten subs for seamless integration. 😅 A hell of a lot of fun it must be in there.🙌🙌🦾
Aaaah you caught that huh : ). Yeah I used to have 4xdual opposed 21s and never got in trouble. Then when those were replaced with 2 Perls, I got in trouble quite a bit. Now if she is downstairs she will get straight LIVID if the system is cranked up. Sounds good in the room though!
This is basically my dream setup, I had fun watching.
This is a sick system for sure
