Just got my Velos and so far, I've shot it indoors and outdoors without ear pro, while attached to my MK18 via direct thread. I've shot a lot of different suppressors in the past, and although the Velos is a heavy can, its hands down the best 5.56 suppressor on the market, for both sound suppression and gas reduction.
I've used ASR mount cans for nearly a decade now. ZERO issues. 2200F nickle-based high temp anti seize on the threads and the taper surface and you're good to go. Over 12000rds between two cans.

Sir, if i may. Buy Electro Voice RE20 (EV RE20) if you wanna capture a more accurate blast sound up close. That mic has a very good low freq characteristics, used mainly for kick drums (very loud) and radio DJs. If you wanna capture the sound further away, get AKG 414. Its sensitive enough to pick up ambient etc, but have large enough diaphragms to capture the lows as well. Theyre both quite pricy, but very good mics. Used frequently in the pro audio industry.
Hey sir, have u tried anything from gemtech/GSL? And also have u tried or seen the b&t cans for surefire muzzle devices? They're supposed to be like 600-700 bucks (the b&t one)

My FLOW 556K got out of suppressor jail after 290 days, and I think it's a pretty solid place to start. Short, light, good at ear suppression, good signature reduction. I wanted something that gave me very few reasons to not use it, and it definitely fits the bill. I may pick up a second 556 can in the future, but next will probably be a 30 cal can of some sort.

I HAD a Sierra 5, for 1000 rounds but that’s gone and probably a write off. I’ve been tossing the idea of the Velos but really intrigued with the new CAT stuff. Have you had any experience with it? Is the Velos a bit long for your taste?
So you like the Velos better than the Flow 556? I compared my Velos to my HX-QD 762, and both are awesome at reducing gas-to-the-face, but it seemed to me like the Velos had a bit lower tone. I know you're not big on descriptions, but from firing my own (at an indoor range), that's what I noticed. Like your stillshot, flash reduction on the Velos....eh, may not be the greatest for NODS or whatever, but that's not my focus, and there certainly aren't muzzle brake fireballs either.

You showed an image of it under night vision, does it have significant flash reduction despite the gas all coming out of the front? Like, compared to maybe the hux, or compared to a suppressor that doesnt have flow through, does it suppress flash well under NV and at night in general?
I agree with Steve’s comment, polonium’s are traditional baffle cans where as the Velos is kind of a blend of traditional baffle and their own take on flow through tech. Shot one the other day on a 7 inch 556, zero gas to the face during a mag dump on an indoor range. Definitely recommend

Yeah I think I'm gonna go for the Velos man. The RC-2 is badass with all it's combat history but I know it's kinda aging tech so to speak. From the reviews on the Velos it seems very durable and does a great job of reducing back pressure etc. Plus it looks really good@@fortknoxpodcast
I mounted the Velos on my Mk18 build. Compared to my previous can it runs much quieter and with significantly less gas. Although I am also running a Radian Raptor SD. Also tried it on a DD V7 and SIG M400 with improved results.
I prefer the ASR Bravo over the DA 428 Keymo. These last longer than the DA 428 QD systems. It's all how you treat your kit. The Rearden Mfg stuff is nice and has some improvements over the Q system.
I know this is old but does anyone know if the Rearden R2S will work with the Velos? I’m assuming it does but I’m new to the game and don’t need to own an expensive paperweight lol

I run there omega 36m and its a great can might have to look for thie one next for sure

Velos for gassy semi autos and SBRs. Polonium k for longer barreled rifles 14’’+ and bolt guns in 6mm or 556.
