+Justin Nguyen This shit is a prime reason for anger. I'm not even an american, I'm a transplant but the way they treat vets here is honestly the reason I believe this civilization will collapse in 50-100 years. Deplorable. How can you say on the one hand that you will support the troops then turn around and abandon those who need it the most. Fuck. That. I'm gonna volunteer to help veterans around the globe to deal with PTSD. This shit is serious. I feel like crying tbh.

I’m the same way with my ptsd and my wife also tell me to let it out. It’s not easy. But give us a lot of tequila and you’ll definitely see some tears.

PTSD sucks ass, it makes you sad no matter where you go. It's not necessarily like depression because depression a lot of times you can't pinpoint why you have it. With PTSD however it lets you know every single day like every 5 seconds you have a thought about it/ a flashback of it and it won't go away no matter how hard you try your brain makes you think of it.

This reminds me of my uncle, waking up in the middle of the night hearing him screaming his friends name. He served in Vietnam, and my aunt told me the only thing he had ever said about war was he watched his best friend die in his arms. His voice is all raspy from something the Americans dropped in the jungle and his unit was sent in before it settled. So it messed up his vocal cords. His names Roy Botsford.

You can see him starting to have an episode as he shakes with tremors. I really noticed it when he mentioned his wife was going to leave him, really fucked up. A friend of mine has PTSD and I've seen him get like this. Glad he sought help, it's the only way. Once you find other people as broken as you in a therapeutic/rehabilitating environment you realize you're not so alone. I felt similar and alone to how he felt with my heroin addiction but once I went to rehab I've made some of the best and closest friends that I've told more things to that I've never said to anyone. I have met some of the best people there. I see it similar to my addiction, you have to seek help and be with other people recovering from the same shit. There's a quote that says something like "unless you've also been in the ring fighting the bull, I don't want to hear what you have to say". Meaning if you haven't gone through what I have you don't have a clue. People associate asking for help as a sign of weakness, I now believe it is a sign of strength, to not be controlled by your ego and to be able to admit "I don't got this, I need help". Or even just being able to surrender to a purly unbeatable force. Anyway those are my thoughts

You are a soldier, one who defends us. If you are not strong, then how can we be strong? A solider must be more important and respected than a president. It's because of a solider that we all can sleep peacefully. And Blanco, you should be proud of yourself for being one. There are difficulties for everyone. But don't let those obstacles take over you. You live for a purpose and if you believe that you are living in the right path, then you shouldn't be worried about anything. Human beings are not natural killers, if we were we wouldn't have shit like battle fatigue and PTSD, kids of 16+ wouldn't have to turned into killing machines, taught how to kill someone in vague and short instructions like "aim for the centre of the mass" instead of "kill that human being".
Its the reason why specialised training had to be introduced to make soldiers actually kill, as orginally many didn't fire at the enermy to kill.
Need to find out the actual statistics from the first world war, to the second and Vietnam, I know gradually more soldiers fired their weapons to kill because of new training techniques.
War isn't natural, it occurs because of shit like a lack of resources (That's literally why the first human tribes started fighting each other because they needed resources to build and to feed themselves), because of power, greed and imperalistic bullshit.
As Harry Patch said "War is nothing more then organised murder" and if politicians want to go to war, they should be the ones to fight not poor fuckers like this guy.
Make it into a boxing match?

@Ethan Bonefas Then why do soldiers have PTSD?🤔And your history is wrong. Many indian tribes looked at physical violence as the last resort. Most notably the Iroquois. Humans are not natural killers. It's why they say once you take a person's life, you're never the same afterwards.

Samurai Code (Warrior Ethos): Bushidō, (武士道?) literally meaning "the way of the warrior", is a Japanese word for the way of the samurai life, loosely analogous to the concept of chivalry in Europe. The "way" itself originates from the samurai moral values, most commonly stressing some combination of frugality, loyalty, martial arts mastery, and honor until death. Born from Neo-Confucianism during times of peace in Tokugawa Japan and following Confucian texts, Bushido was also influenced by Shinto and Zen Buddhism, allowing the violent existence of the samurai to be tempered by wisdom and serenity. Bushidō developed between the 16th and 20th centuries, debated by pundits who believed they were building on a legacy dating back to the 10th century, although some scholars have noted that the term bushidō itself is "rarely attested in premodern literature".[1]Under the Tokugawa Shogunate, some aspects of warrior values became formalized into Japanese feudal law.[2]The word was first used in Japan during the 17th century in Kōyō Gunkan.[3][4][5] It came into common usage in Japan and the West after the 1899 publication of Nitobe Inazō's Bushido: The Soul of Japan.[6]In Bushido (1899), Nitobe wrote:[…] Bushidō, then, is the code of moral principles which the samurai were required or instructed to observe […] More frequently it is a code unuttered and unwritten […] It was an organic growth of decades and centuries of military career. In order to become a samurai this code has to be mastered.Nitobe was not the first to document Japanese chivalry in this way. In Feudal and Modern Japan (1896), historian Arthur May Knapp wrote: *"The samurai of thirty years ago had behind him a thousand years of training in the law of honor, obedience, duty, and self-sacrifice.... It was not needed to create or establish them. As a child he had but to be instructed, as indeed he was from his earliest years, in the etiquette of self-immolation.* - *Wikipedia*
