You just being honest and thats why i love this video , i done seen and heard truckers talk about what they made but its fantasy , being a diesel mechanic ... i seen alot , i mean alot of trucks just sitting cause the owner operators fabricate how much they making but cant get their trucks fixed
You're being very honest here ! There's one or two ( there's more than likely a lot more , but these one or two are the ones I'm thinking of ) O/O on youtube that seem to never post a video about Their loads unless They're getting insane rates ! The sun is ALWAYS shining , oh , and there's never a bug on Their windshield ! Like Paula Poundstone once said in one of Her comedy shows : " it COULD happen " ( but I Personally doubt it happens on a regular basis ) !!!!??
@@steadytrucker Thank you. I find the hardest part surviving the exploitation to hit the two year mark. Carriers know you have limited options till then because insurance is so high. They really hold you and your pay in a vice squeezing everything dry. There is something better out there... You inspire many to find it.
Thank you so much fir this video I was wondering how long it takes them to sign a rate con! but your still doing load out trailers and power only.... is that because that don’t have a trailer or you choose to do P.O.?
I'm still doing power only. They have trailers but I don't want to waste money renting a trailer. Looking into buying one but for now power only is nice and easy
So am I right to say if I want to do power only I need to live in an area where there is a good deal of that coming it of there because a lots of those loads are roundtrip?
No. They are basically the same routes you find in van or flatbed. Some round-trip but mostly one way. Be prepared to haul anything. You don't need any extra equipment. Some flatbed loads might require you to have some straps but most don't. You might just invest in some longer air/electrical lines.
Question are the power only loads plentiful on the DAT board and do you feel like you're taking a cut by doing power only. I'm thinking about coming aboard for power only
Plenty of power only loads to choose from. I've had no problems running any lane I choose. Originally I thought I would be running more miles doing power only when thinking about the difference in rates but it seems to average out. The biggest factor is that most everything is hook and go. No waiting to get loaded or unloaded. Also no trailer payment and no maintenance cost. Oh yeah,, you can also get someone to pay you to use their trailer.
@@bubbadump8676I don't think you'll have any trouble at all. I've pulled all types of trailers on power only but I could definitely stick to just dry van.

I appreciate it. Everybody wants to believe they can make $7 a mile on every load but their setting themselves up for big disappointment.

Thanks, that's my backyard. Full time job in itself.
Are you still with F2F I’m thinking about leaving LandStar’s
No. I've had my own authority for almost two years now but I highly recommend f2f. I think.landstar and f2f are the top 2 out there.
How is the fees?
Not sure what fees you're talking about
Do you need a printer/scanner in your truck for the rate confirmations. Just curious how that works having to sign and forward documents. Thanks
I don't sign the rate con. I forward it to f2f and they sign it but having a printer cones in handy. There are times when you need to print a bol

Just because you are a weak negotiator doesn’t mean others are lying. I think you should watch your own videos…might help you.
How does F2F pay, weekly or after every load? How often are you settlements incorrect?
They pay weekly. I've only had one mix up with my checks since being here. They didn't screw up any amounts they just swapped a couple of loads.
Question, do you get fuel surcharge pulling brokered loads? Ive heard some say you do others say they don't. Of you do does f2f give you 100%?
No. Unfortunately. . F2f get %80 of everything.
