I suffer from depression too. I turned one bedroom into a plant room. I painted it all white, got a huge mirror from home goods to bring in more light. Took out the closet doors and made a little nook. Arvin has me changing my whole house around lol

I still have a lamp and shade I bought at Ikea in Germany in 1998, a cream colour with a porcelain cream base. Still going strong in 2021. Fit in with the Chinese cabinet, the Spanish rattan 1 metre square coffee table and floral paintings on the walls. Mirrors you say? I have a Venetian glass mirror, heart shape and five other mirrors of different shapes which reflect the plants. This is a great video - and ideas excellent. Vases from Ikea, as well as candles and napkins are my favourites.
I got my Stockholm coffee table on a Craigslist ad for $75.00 a few years ago. We call it the surfboard table and love it. It goes perfectly in our mid century style living room. Alvin, your taste is exquisite and I agree with you

While i love a traditional crystal chandelier, we had a bunch in my house growing up, I'm glad that they're not super in style rn. They're so expensive and they set a really particular tone for your home. My dad is super boho yet we had all these expensive ass crystal chandeliers. Lol.

When I renovated my basement, I used IkEA furniture - tv stand, dresser, wardrobe, etc all in white! Then I just added color pieces like wall art and accessories. So beautiful 😻
