Just got back from a 1000 mile trip around Scotland in my 182FF, had it 9 years now and its never let me down once. Was talking to a friend on the journey back about these points you make, this car is allows you to fully utilize 100% of its capability without getting you in (much) trouble. If money was no object there are not many cars ide swap it for. The ONLY two downsides are the interior rattles and that you really have to keep up to them to keep them running nice, they need an owner who is enthusiastic about it
Sounds like a great trip, there are some amazing places to visit in Scotland and some of the roads are beautiful. Glad to hear you’re still getting good use and enjoyment out of your 182 9 years on👌🏻
Couldn’t agree with you more. I’ve owned my racing blue 182 Cup for just under 5 years now and I grow more in love with it as each year passes. I own a 911 and have also had other “hyper hatches” whilst having the Clio but being completely honest the Clio is the one I love the most👍🏼

@@BritishRacingGreens And that something is definitely the feeling of driving, how much the car is alive, and that is mostly because of its NA engine 👍
Broke the auto wipers on mine years ago, keep meaning to fix them though. You can turn both the wipers and lights off auto as well with a few cycles of ignition and the trip button, can't remember exact sequence off top of my head though
I notice and appreciate the auto headlights more than the wipers, I can see why others could find them irritating but I think the pros outweigh the cons.
Put the ignition on then flick the lights on and off 3 times disables the auto lights (you’ll hear a beep)

Well, automatic windshield wipers is a horror story on it's own in this car. I use my 172 as a daily, and in the rain, you cannot switch the rain sensor off, wipers work in their own haotic way, sometimes they wipe on full speed in only the lightest rain, the intermittent wipers ring does not work, or at least I haven't found a way to make it work (idk why they even left it there) and the only way to control them manually is to put them on high speed or switch them on and off each time the windshield is full of water.
😂 doesn’t sound like you’re a big fan! I have barely noticed them to be honest, I think they’ve only kicked in a couple of times.
@@BritishRacingGreens yep, but other than that I love this car, I will never sell it if I’m not forced to do so, maybe change for another one with more fun color, because mine is silver, and that’s a bit boring
I think they look pretty decent in silver tbh, bit more grown up...... but definitely better in RB
