For the family to say Brian was “grieving” is a very odd statement considering this was before she was even found deceased… They damn well knew he killed her and their actions clearly prove it.
He wasn't grieving. He was stressed and in fear of getting caught. I find it disgusting how some are trying to make him the victim. He Murdered Gabby.
He was grieving the end of his relationship, and the insanity that followed. God only knows what happened. Based on the timeline and sightings in Wyoming, it sounds to me like after the restaurant fracas, they went back to their campsite, had another argument. He left to let the situation calm down, that's why people saw him hitchhiking some distance away. He came back to the campsite, and found her strangled. Whether or not he strangled her before he left is up for debate. But even if he was innocent, and some nut found the beautiful Gabby alone by herself and strangled her, no one would have believed that. Just look at the lynch mob responding here on any Laundrie/Petito thread. And given that they were almost arrested for a domestic violence incident two weeks earlier by the cops, that most murders are done by the partner, there's no way he wouldn't be shattered, innocent or not.
At least there together again now god bless there souls

It's possible that the parents took the dry bag to Myakahatchee with supplies in it, for Bryan, back in early September. Then when they went to that spot again, the other day, they found the same dry bag but it was untouched! That's when it hit the Laundrie's that Brian was dead. Because their supplies went unused!
Because remember, Chris Laundrie said Brian left with only a backpack, not a dry bag...
So smart of u… excellent!
What adry bag??
@@weseethroughu a waterproof bag with a drawstring

That doesn’t explain them knowing exactly where Brian’s dead body/remains would be found.
Edit: The Laundries told police that was where he liked to hike. And the police had amphibious vehicles. So either this is a gross oversight by the police for not searching in that area, and wasting tons of money by searching everywhere else.
Either way, it doesn't make sense. The entire Laundry family are a bunch of complete *ssholes for not helping with the search for Gabby, and immediately lawyering up. Why would they let Brian leave if "he was in a bad emotional state or was grieving" BEFORE Gabby's body turned up? Why wouldn't they tell the police that Brian left? The Laundry parents should've held a press conference and not hid behind their lawyer this whole time.
Laundries dad: “I wish I didn’t let him go but I couldn’t stop him”- so they knew that he was going to be on the run. Otherwise, what an odd statement. They knew he wasn’t coming back. Why couldn’t you “stop him”? Thought he said he would be back and he was just going for a hike?
“Brian was grieving before he left”- why grieving? What was he grieving about? The murder he committed? The murder Steven Bertelino KNOWS about?? Ah okay then.
I don’t believe ANY of this. Maybe Bertelino helped with this whole “cover up”. Things are so strange with this family.
If I was worried about my son I would have called the police

Correction. The police found the remains.
Here are a few possible answers to questions:
Can't be Brian's remains. They just needed the harassment to end.
Conspiracy Theory: dental-record confirmation was part of the plan to end the focus on where Brian (alive) really is. Otherwise, the parents could have just told an agent where he was, and someone professional could have found his body. The parents had to plant the bones/skull, so no one else would be involved. It would not be hard to fake a "discovery" if they were the ones who "found" the bones. All you need is the head of FBI to be good friends with the Laundries or with their attorney...since that one FBI chief can *report* that the dental records confirmed Brian's ID. Who else is examining the skull?
All it takes is one corrupt head of the FBI there... to make all anger... all searching and all curiosity (and all future charges) GO AWAY. Now the parents are also sad victims. Convenient. (I suspected the FBI agent with sunglasses and an attitude was friends with the L family, the first time I saw him in an interview. It was the way he shamed people for suggesting that Brian should be watched.)

Why is no one talking about or asking why did he show up with her van with out her on Sept 1
Everyone was talking about it.... weeks ago.....
My heart breaks for Gabby's family. 💔😥 They needed answers. They needed help!!! That was their baby!!!! Any parent would understand what nightmare that had to be and still is !!!!
1:37 - Does no one else find this suspicious? The police search for 4 to 5 weeks and can't find him. His parents start looking in a specific area and find Brian's remains rapidly?
This may be a stretch but he could have killed the two women and Gabby found out threatening to yell police. The father may have assisted with his death, if son begged him.
Since Brian was reported missing from the start the parents were giving the police leads, but one of the areas he liked to go on was underwater. It had just opened up to the public Tuesday night, and that night the Autorney informed the police the night before that they were planning on searching that area. That Wednesday morning the police met the parents to search. Can't search a place that's underwater.

Karma is when your dead body rots in alligator water for weeks because you let your fiancé rot in the wilderness after (likely) killing her.
His attorney stated " can't talk about that." It's pretty much public he told his parents. Doesn't make them guilty of any crime. Not saying they're morally right . Bc of what they put Gabbys parents thru
Like rn, if I killed my wife and I tell u. Ur not guilty of anything. Now if u helped move the body or helped cover it up, them yeah. Cover it up meaning talking to police and lying

I just feel like (even tho they didn’t have to under the protection of the law) They could have spoke up; but instead let her rot unnecessarily longer. She potentially could have been located weeks earlier and had a less gruesome funeral.
As we all know, we still don’t really know what they know and I’m just foolishly spectating which is just as bad.

How weird that Brian was able to hang out with his parents for 13 days, as... a... murderer.

yep he slipped and gave away. He also said that Brian was dead on Sept 14. So he put the LE on a goose chase wasting millions of tax dollars!!!!!
He didn't say that. The attorney only spoke for a few seconds and you somehow managed to screw up what he said? The attorney said that Brian was upset as he was leaving, and this was conveyed to him by Chris, Brian's father. The attorney didn't say he was "grieving," nor did the attorney say he was "grieving" "long before" gabby was found.

You don’t even know what happened to her. It could easily have been the cops who killed her. They didn’t follow procedure when Gabby admitted to manbeating Brian. He doesn’t seem like the type of person who who loves deeply, or spends much time grieving. More the type who grow increasingly upset over the prospect of being caught.
Something just doesn't seem right. Are we forgetting that 75% of the Reservation, including where Brain was found, was under water from prior weeks of rain storms? Are we left to believe that Brian parked his car and walked right into a swamp? Also, remember his mother stated he was quite familiar with the park, and his remains were found in an area he knew well. Petty play: Brian was grieving, so he hopped into his sports car with his backpack, no wallet or phone, only to have his mother stumble upon his abandoned car with a note on it, the next day. Yet, she never felt the need to call the police once his abandoned car was discovered. Is anyone surprised by how quickly Brain's parents lawyer/friend is out making the damage control media rounds?

@zameisie I agree. I so wish she had just driven straight home to her parents house in New York. She stayed in a hotel for more than a few days while Brian flew back to Florida in August after the issues in Moab. It makes no sense. She clearly didn’t think he would hurt her. It’s so sad that she was so wrong.
Glad your not a detective
So you would be ok if they come detain you with no evidence of a crime?
We all have a strong hunch what really happened: He killed Gabby [unintentionally or otherwise] in a fit of rage, and most likely after that embarrassing restaurant skirmish, when Gabby must have gotten on his case about his outrageous temper tantrum. Then he drove back to Florida to see his parents/family one last time and say his goodbyes, before killing himself. Now, whether he killed himself (on his own terms) out of a sense of remorse, or to avoid prison time, or a combination of both, or even if it was an accidental death, it really doesn’t matter. The fact is that he is long dead and gone, and there is no more justice or closure to be had in this dreadful case. Two young people are tragically dead; It’s time to get on with life and put this story to rest.

It’s all incredibly sad for both families.
The family knew what he was up to all along. Cowards.
I think he was in contact with his parents and only when they had no contact did they report him missing. They knew exactly what area he was in.They all went camping to plan it all out.If they aided him they should face charges
OK y’all here’s the question they said that they found the skull and bones… my question is was the skeleton intact?
And also what was the cause of death? Why haven’t they said the possibilities of his cause of death, was there a gunshot wound in the skull or was it poison they must have been able to tell something something about this still seems off🧐
Attorney knew, parents knew, parents helped etc… none of this matters at this point.
It's a classic crime as two people taking a prolonged fight that heat up overtime and leading to crime. Walk away once you feel tense in an argument. And at first sign of violence, quit immediately and no regret. When someone started to show extreme anger that's the sign the person no longer love you or never did and simply he/she is using you. How do murderers grieve their victims
He wasn't grieving Gabby. He was grieving the loss of his freedom that be knew was about to happen......
Maybe he wasn’t some sociopathic trigger-happy monster, just someone with a bad temper?
he wasn't grieving. the lawyer is lying and trying to insinuate that Brian didn't do it.
He was grieving himself cause he knew he might die or rot in jail
I don't know if Brian was actually grieving. But I know someone who grieved their victims for years. Murder was committed in a mental break/psychosis moment by someone later diagnosed as rapid cycle bipolar. The person said they felt so angry, and the act was like a dream, seeing themselves in 3rd person.
Once again not saying Brian is in the same category. The person I spoke about had no history of domestic violence or violence in any way.
Well yeah cause he killed her. More than grieving he was terrified of going to prison.
Can't blame him. Would you rather a long life sentence waiting to die or just get it over and done with?
That said I do feel for his parents but the vast majority of my empathy in this is for the Pettito family and Gabby.
That's the good news. He saved the Florida DA a pile of work and time by carrying out the death penalty on himself.
This always happens. People just need someone to go after. Even though the person that murdered her is dead, people still need someone to prosecute. They’re both dead, let it go.
Wait a minute. His parents found his body?
WTF!? They’re totally guilty
Ongoing search 24/7 over a month. Full teams of federal agents, police force, ATV's, dogs..
Parents show up 1 day then suddenly find "partial remains" & 'belongings' in 10 minutes!

Pretty funny that we should all be worried about what these people think meanwhile they hid their murderer son from killing that woman
You don’t know that bud it’s speculation. It’s not fair to the parents until you know for absolute certain that they are guilty of anything at all. Also remember a bond between a parent and child is inseparable..until you’re in the shoes of the parents don’t judge and don’t speak on hearsay.
I've got a 16 month old son and even now I would do anything for him... Anything.
Well, he's dead, so I'm not sure what they would have done for him that would have been much use to him. Not sure why the parents deserve any blame given the outcome. Now, if he turned up in Guatemala, that might be a different story.

So the lawyer just said he went to grieve … SO THE PARENTS KNEW WHAT HAPPENED THEN… they shouldn’t have let him go? Is this admitting that they knew he killed her … I think so
I agree, the parents are partly to blame for what Brian did to Gabby. Brian and Gabby lived with the Laundries for 2 years. They would have seen the abuse over this period of time and did nothing. Even when it is your child domestic violence cannot be condoned or accepted by the parents of the abuser. If they reported Brian earlier he may have got some help and he and Gabby would still be alive. This is not a tragic love story, abuse and violence are not signs of love.
The most obvious question that has not been mentioned and avoided is DID BRIAN TELL HIS PARENTS HE KILLED GABBY ?
This question has not been mentioned AT ALL
